Good morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I got to catch up with a dear family friend, went antiquing with my dad, went for brunch with Caitlin at The State Street Grill (which was amazingggg, definitely go try if you live in the Scranton-Wilkes-Barre area), caught up on some work, and had the yummiest Mexican dinner, also with Caitlin! Also, if you’re looking for some shows to watch on Netflix, I finished both In The Dark and What If. Both of them kept my interest and on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t stop watching! I started Mind Hunters too, which I highly recommend if you like a psychological thrill. It’s slower, but incredibly well done.

For me, a white dress feels just a refreshing to wear as it looks. This gorgeous white crochet midi dress is a true stunner and is sure to turn heads! This is the outfit I wore for Sunday brunch this past weekend. The hem has sheer detailing along with the waist having a cutout pattern. The dress fits true to size. I’m wearing a UK size 6.

Good morning and happy Wednesday, friends! Last night, Ava, my dad and I, all had an absolutely marvelous time getting to experience one of my favorite television shows on the big screen! Five newly colorized episodes of I Love Lucy, plus a documentary on the colorization process, were shown for fans of all ages to enjoy the show like never before. We even received some Lucy posters from Cinemark to celebrate the one night event. What a treat it was to watch Lucy with fans who truly love the show and to be able to hear Ava laugh out loud at her crazy antics! It’s a night I will never forget.

This two piece button front set has a romantic carefree feeling to it similar to how I think of the long golden days of summer. Though I typically do not wear too many cropped pieces, this top paired with the high waisted skirt show just the right amount of skin. It’s a playful and flirty outfit that’s perfect for the hot and humid days. I also love a two piece set since you can mix and match the items with different pieces already in your wardrobe. Rainbow Maxi Toddler Style

Good morning and happy Monday, friends! What a spectacular weekend we had! First, Saturday July 20th was the 50th anniversary of the Saturn 5 rocket landing on the moon. John F. Kennedy’s dream of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth was not only realized, but celebrated with vigor all these years later. My family has always been big with space and the moon so this was a very cool moment to commemorate. The heat wave was also in full effect, which meant lots of pool time! Luckily, we have family members with pools so we were hopping from one to the other. Ava and I also celebrated National Ice Cream Day on Sunday with some yummy treats from one of our favorite local spots.

A few months back I wore the adult version of this fun rainbow striped maxi here. Recently, Chicwish released the kids version, which makes for some wonderful mommy and me summer moments! Ava was in love with this dress and it’s bright colors. The self ties at the shoulder are adjustable and have the cutest tassels on them along with tassel on the hem of the dress. A word to the wise, hand wash this frock only! I accidentally threw mine into the wash one day and many of the tassels fell off.

Good morning, friends! What a dreamy evening it was to take a stroll along the harbor and Main Street. With the golden sun slowly setting, the sweet fragrance of lilacs in the air, and the warm breeze softly rustling, it truly felt like paradise. Gazing upon the harbor with its endless boats and ships is one of my favorite pastimes that I do quite frequently while visiting the Cape. This mint swing dress with mid-century mariner art upon it was the perfect ensemble to wear for the evening stroll. It’s on major sale right now too! Good morning and happy Monday, friends! Ava and I are here with some rainbow prints sure to brighten the day. My maxi dress from chicwish adds some sweetness with its candy inspired rainbow print and fun tassels. The straps along the shoulders are adjustable (self-tie) for fit and added comfort. A true win for the summer season, especially for a vacation! Ava’s ensemble is a two piece set with a cat holding balloons on top and a rainbow layered mesh skirt on the bottom. There is an inner lining underneath the mesh and an elastic waist band. She fell in love with this outfit because it reminds her of Mary Poppins so she was beyond thrilled to wear it! The Coastal Look

Good morning, friends! Ever since visiting Nantucket back in 2014, I’ve been on the search for the perfect pair of Nantucket Reds to add to my coastal New England attire. I came across these at J. Crew Factory and was instantly smitten with them. Everything from the color, length, and fit was exactly what I had been searching for. The color pairs very well with navy blue, white, light blue, and stripes. The most common color seen with Nantucket Reds is navy blue. I went with blue and white stripes with the cutest pineapple print. I’m especially loving the little pop of yellow gold the pineapples give. It’s no surprise that my favorite guy, JFK, sported Nantucket Red as well. I mean, he did live on Cape Cod after all. 

 Nantucket Reds are typically worn in place of khakis or chinos and are found most commonly on Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, and Cape Cod. The official Reds are produced and distributed by Murray’s Tuggary Shop located on Main Street on Nantucket Island.

Good Morning and happy Monday! This has to be one of my favorite Mommy & Me outfits to date! This pink layered tulle skirt has been on my Chicwish wishlist for quite some time now. It’s whimsically romantic and the prettiest shade of blush. This skirt has a magical quality to it. It really does! It’s one of those pieces that can make you feel at your best. It can set the mood for the entire day. Doesn’t the skirt remind you of Carrie Bradshaw in the opening of Sex And The City too?? There is a new black style that was just released as well. When I saw there was a matching skirt for the little ones, I knew this would be perfect for my little mini me and I. Ava and I felt like princesses and everyone that saw us stopped to say how much they loved our outfits. It’s was the coolest day! We danced and twirled all while laughing and having a good time. Good morning and happy Thursday! I’ve been trying to soak in as much of summer as I possibly can recently and with that comes wearing as many dresses as I can. This blue one reminds me of a vintage 1950s circle style with cap sleeves and some of the prettiest florals I’ve seen. The dress fits true to size. I’m wearing a small and found it to be slightly loose, but comfortably so. Not enough to go down a size (small is the smallest size available.) I thought the perfect spot to capture the essence of this dress would be at one of our local parks that has a flower garden. It blooms all throughout spring and summer. Each time I visit it, there seems to be different flowers in bloom, which makes it all the more magical.

Good morning! One of my favorite things about a casual look is elevating it with beautiful little details. This top includes gorgeous mesh yoke with cap sleeves and a bow tie neck. It’s all in the details my friends! I found the top to fit true to size (wearing an XS) and it only costs $12. I kept the look light and fresh with pastels and a cute button down jean skirt, which is a very versatile piece, though I would recommend going up one size as it fits slightly tight.

Lazy Hazy Summer Days

It’s hard to believe we’re in the home stretch with summer, but the kiddos go back to school soon and with that comes all things fall related. While I am excited for the new season to come, I’m not quite done with summer yet! Another thing hard to believe, this is actually the first bikini I’ve worn since Ava was born three years ago. I was very self conscious with my body after giving birth, but I’m at a much better and more confident place with how I look now. I felt great wearing this!

Last year I had a pink and green palm print once piece swim suit that I absolutely loved. Ever since then I’ve been quite taken with the color combo and print. This tropical bikini fits true to size. I’m wearing a small and felt very comfortable in it. The print is just darling too! At just $12, this certainly is a great addition to your swim wear attire. One note of caution though, watch the cut outs right underneath the boob area. Slippage can happen with some bottom boob, haha. I feel ridiculous saying that, but it was something I noticed. It also could have been because Ava and I were constantly jumping up and down and running around, but it’s still worth noting.

Pink Bow Weekend Style

Good morning and happy Friday, everyone! This outfit is something you would find me in on any given weekend whether we’re running errands around town or just having some plain ol’ fun. I love how this tie neck embroidered mesh yoke top elevates the look and adds a beautiful feminine flair. It also comes in two other colors (pink and black) that are equally just as stunning. I also recently picked up these jeans from the nsale, which ends tomorrow, so if you have any items you’ve been thinking about now is the time to get them! These jeans fit true to size and are the best fitting jeans I own, though petite heights may need to cuff them a bit like I did above. The problems of short people, haha.

While the skirt and top together have an elegant feel to them, this top could also be worn with a pair of jeans for an elevated casual look. All of these details create one magical romantic look. Good morning and welcome to August! This month is a special one since it’ll be Ava’s third birthday. I can hardly believe she’ll be turning three. Where did all of that time go?! I feel like I was just holding her in my arms for the first time in the hospital when she was born. She’s very excited to be turning three. It’s been a big topic of conversation lately, lol.  

It’s no secret I’ve been enchanted by all things yellow this summer. Many of my outfits have included the happy color either with the accessories or as the centerpiece of an ensemble. This particular look, with a gorgeous floral wrap dress, steps things up a notch creating a monochromatic silhouette. This darker shade of yellow is perfect for transitioning into fall as well. The Ladies In Red

Another day, another red dress! This was the first rain free day we had, which meant heading outside for the entire day! Ava and I visited various places, but stopped at one of our local parks for the majority of the time. It was refreshing to see and feel some sunshine and to spend time with others enjoying all that summer has to offer. This shirtdress is a vintage dream! It’s included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, which ends August 5th. These red bow flats, which I am obsessed with, are also a part of the sale. The red color is striking and the bow on the flats is adorable. Top notch with good details. I had so many people come up to me on our day out to tell me how much they liked the outfit, which to me, is clear that it’s a winner! Both fit true to size. I’m wearing a 0p in the dress.

Happy Wednesday, friends! I’ve has this skirt for quite some time now that I originally purchased from ModCloth. I’ve always had a “thing” for this print since it reminds me so much of the blue and white antique pattern you see on tea cups, plates, or bowls. Good morning, friends! Lately, I’ve been smitten with anything and everything yellow. I can’t seem to get enough of the cheery sunshine color! When I saw this yellow floral top, it was a no brainer for me. It’s a lightweight chiffon material, perfect for any summer outing. This would also make a great top to wear to work with a blazer. It’s extremely versatile and fits true to size. There’s also eighteen total designs for this top. Variety is the spice of life! 

Did anyone go see Mama Mia Here We Go Again this past weekend? I saw it and loved it!  The actors all did a great job and the story was very touching. The last scene with Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfreid (mother and daughter in the movie) was so beautifully done. I could not stop crying watching it. You’ll know why when you see it. It reminded me so much of my mother and I with Ava.

The Perfect Summer Dress

Good morning, friends! This is one dress that I can definitely say is perfect for summer. Not only are the blue and white stripes effortlessly classic, but I actually stayed cool while wearing this in humid weather. It’s on sale now too! I know this will be on re-peat until the end of summer, I’ve already worn it three more times. It’s fits great and is comfortable to wear. I’m also impressed by the quality of the material (lightweight) and how this dress could be worn to work, a weekend BBQ, or to the beach.
