A Fall Floral Dream

Good morning and happy Wednesday, friends! One item on my bucket list has always been to visit a flower farm and over this past weekend, it finally became a reality! What dreamy day it was too. The weather was absolutely perfect for taking in all of natures splendor. The views were breathtaking and gave an overall sense of calm when gazing out upon the colorful land. Needless to say, Ava and I had an absolute blast. She loved seeing all of the sunflowers, zinnia’s, and especially running through the vast fields. Not only are there flower fields, but the Lakeland Orchard (a part of Roba’s Family Farms) also has a vast array of activities for the entire family to enjoy. Along with the sunflower and zinnia festival, there is also apple picking, an antique carousel, the cow train express, a pumpkin bounce, a giant corn box to play in, various yard games, toy duck races, a goat corral, a hippity hop bounce corral, the cider garden, and for the “young at heart” there is also hard cider available. There’s also food and drinks at the orchard cafe with the cider slushee’s being a big hit with everyone! I believe in later fall there are also fire pits available to enjoy as well. There is a small admission fee, but if you purchase the tickets ahead of time online, they are cheaper. Along with the admission fee, you are able to cut one flower a piece for free. You can cut more flowers if you wish for an additional cost. To check out more about the farm, click here.

With the stunning weather, Ava and I dressed in our floral dresses for the fun flower filled day. I love slowly transitioning to darker florals as the seasons progress. This particular dress has a beautiful dark green background with golden cascading leaves and pretty pink flowers. The perfect dress to compliment fall. The dress fits true to size. I’m wearing an XS.

Check out below for some family photos from the orchard!

Blue And White Floral

Blue Floral Dress (Old, Similar) || Raffia Clutch || Cream Wedge Espadrilles || Jackie Kennedy Pearl Earrings || Pink & Blue Co. Bracelet c/o || KJP Pearl Bracelet ||

Good morning and happy Tuesday! This blue floral dress is an old favorite of mine from years ago. I got it from ModCloth in maybe 2012 or 2013 and it’s held up quite well since then. Blue and white has always been a standard for my summer uniform, especially for all of my nautical wear. On the other hand, a blue and a white floral adds a bit of classic femininity and reminds me of all of the gorgeous summer blooms like hydrangeas and roses.

I saved this dress for a special occasion where we got our annual photo in front of the Nausset Lighthouse in Eastham. It’s our favorite lighthouse and quite an iconic one. It’s the most photographed lighthouse on Cape Cod and the one you see on the Cape Cod Chips bag.

After making a pit stop at A Hole In One Donuts, amazing pastries and coffee, we traveled back to go hit the beach.

Before calling it a night, we ate at Pizza Barbone to try some of their pesto pizza. I was skeptical, but wow was I blown away! It was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The serving size is a bit small, but it’s well worth it to try at least once.

Today’s floral feature is one that I do not typically wear, but fell in love with at first sight. I normally veer towards fit and flare styles, but this bodycon fit with the midi skirt and peplum hem stood out with its gorgeous vibrant floral pattern and self ties at the shoulders. Talk about swooning! The fit is true to size.

This week is all about floral prints that remind me of the loveliest spring day. It’s a print I wear year round and cannot get enough of. Florals always bring a smile to my face and joy to my heart. I hope you enjoy the next few days of this beautiful print as much as I do!

Today’s dress boasts a floral bouquet on top of a white background with a pink ribbon around the waist. The sleeves have a darling pleated detail that stand out and give the dress a unique touch. With a fitted bodice and box pleated midi skirt, this dress is perfect for just about any occasion be it a wedding, bridal shower, cocktail party, or simply a day out. The dress runs true to size. Using the UK measurement, I ended up being a size 6, equivalent to a US 2.

Happy Tuesday, friends! What a busy past couple of days Ava and I have had. To top it all off, tonight the Avengers are going to be at our local McDonalds! Ava’s pretty excited to meet them.

When we’re super busy, I love to just throw on a dress and go. It’s a simple way to look chic andput together when time is of the essence. Another go-to solution are accessories in natural fabrics like straw, wicker, or rattan. Not only do they give some texture to an outfit, they go with everything, and feel effortless. You’ll be hard pressed to find me without them during the spring and summer months. I’ve been living in these woven mules, which are so comfortable to wear. They fit true to size and go with everything I put on. They’re going to be my go-to shoe for summer. This little floral dress has slightly puffed sleeves and a peplum hem. It’s perfect for a night out or when matched with natural fabrics like I did, it has a dressed down feeling for the day.

Happy First Day Of Spring

Floral Dress c/o || Yellow Wedge Espadrilles || Wicker Bag || Pink Bow Ribbon Straw Hat || Sunglasses ||  Flower Earrings ||

Happy first day of spring, everyone!! My little chick and I have been anxiously waiting for this day and are so happy that it has finally arrived. A few days ago we got a taste of spring with highs in the 70s, blue skies, and an abundance of sunshine. We were outside almost the entire day. It was absolutely wonderful! We went to the park to walk and go to the playground followed by a trip to Hillside for some ice cream and photos. After that, we looked for signs of spring on another trip followed by a sunset drive. It was quite the magical day. Ava and I wanted to look our spring best with florals and colors to match the new season. She even put her own outfit together!

Enchanted Floral Dreams

There’s nothing dreamier to me than a gorgeous sunset with soft beautiful light filtering through. Add some floral blooms and you have one enchanting evening. This was a look I put together for one of the warmer days we had and I might add, one of my favorite looks to date. The sunshine absolutely enlivened my senses and brought a sense of happiness along with the promise of spring soon to come. Along with the weather, this dress put the biggest smile on my face. It’s pretty pleats and darling bow  neck tie add to its feminine beauty. Not to mention the stunning print! Right after shooting these photos, I went to a local church dinner with my dad and received so many lovely compliments on the dress. It was a wonderful evening filled with good food, good company, and an ensemble that has so much springtime charm.

Winter Meets Spring

Floral Embroidered Dress c/o || Similar Clutch (Here) And (Here)  || Similar Sequin Shoes ||

Hello and happy Monday! I hope everyone had an amazing weekend! Did anyone happen to watch the Oscars last night? Ava and i watched the ceremony and loved all of the musical performances. The opener with Queen and Adam Lambert was amazing! Now that’s how you open a show! Lady Gaga’s and Bradley Coopers performance was incredibly emotional and filled to the brim with electric chemistry. A well deserved double standing ovation! My favorite speech was by Olivia Colman for best actress. My goodness, she was beyond adorable! I couldn’t stop smiling the entire time. Also, Chris Evans being a real life Captain America in helping Regina King up the stairs, swoon, proof that chivalry is not dead. What a gentleman!

This time of the year is tough to dress for. Spring everything is hitting the shelves, yet it’s still chilly out with threats of winter weather everywhere. Enter dark floral dresses. Bonus points for ones with a longer skirt! The florals and pink skirt in this one feel like spring, while the dark mesh anchors the look to the winter season. I love the romance of this dress is and how elegant I felt while wearing it. As it gets closer to spring, simply swap out the heels for some strappy sandals and you have a beautiful spring ensemble!

Good morning, friends! The spring equinox arrives in 27 days and I, along with just about everyone else, cannot wait for the official end of winter. While I do enjoy what each season has to offer, I cannot help but be the most excited for spring. The warm weather, sunshine, pastel colors, and beautiful blooms make me incredibly happy. This mint dress with petite florals throughout not only looks like spring, but also feels like it too. The chiffon fabric feels light as air along with the flirty skirt that swishes with each step. I love a good twirl! The dress runs true to size and feels like a breath of fresh air to throw on.

Flirty Floral Dress

Floral Dress c/o || White Heels || Blush Kate Spade Bag (Similar KS Here) || Karen Walker Sunglasses || Jackie Kennedy Stud Earrings ||

Happy Wednesday, friends! This is one of those dresses that works well in both the spring and the fall. It’s light enough for the warm days, but the longer sleeves feel nice during the cooler mornings and evenings. There is a tie neck, which I love!, but it does blend in with the rest of the dress making it hard to see in these photos. The dark floral print feels appropriate for fall and is how I transition my year long love for florals into the new season. This floral print pops nicely against the navy background as well!

While I cannot wait to wear, and have already worn some of the richer shades for fall, I still like to incorporate my love for pastels, especially blush, into the season where burgundy, olive, pumpkin, and mustard reign supreme. I tend to use blush as a neutral, but you’d be surprised how well it pairs with just about any color. The blush bag and white heels lighten the darker look making it great for the in-between season.

All Over Florals

Blue Foral Dress c/o || Blush Floral Slingbacks || MVMT Sunglasses c/o || Straw Bag || Mom Bracelet ||

Good morning and happy Thursday! I’ve been trying to soak in as much of summer as I possibly can recently and with that comes wearing as many dresses as I can. This blue one reminds me of a vintage 1950s circle style with cap sleeves and some of the prettiest florals I’ve seen. The dress fits true to size. I’m wearing a small and found it to be slightly loose, but comfortably so. Not enough to go down a size (small is the smallest size available.) I thought the perfect spot to capture the essence of this dress would be at one of our local parks that has a flower garden. It blooms all throughout spring and summer. Each time I visit it, there seems to be different flowers in bloom, which makes it all the more magical.

Marigold Floral

Floral Wrap Dress c/o || Similar Bag || Similar Knotted Sandals || Sunglasses ||  Earrings ||

Good morning and welcome to August! This month is a special one since it’ll be Ava’s third birthday. I can hardly believe she’ll be turning three. Where did all of that time go?! I feel like I was just holding her in my arms for the first time in the hospital when she was born. She’s very excited to be turning three. It’s been a big topic of conversation lately, lol.

It’s no secret I’ve been enchanted by all things yellow this summer. Many of my outfits have included the happy color either with the accessories or as the centerpiece of an ensemble. This particular look, with a gorgeous floral wrap dress, steps things up a notch creating a monochromatic silhouette. This darker shade of yellow is perfect for transitioning into fall as well. The dress is currently on sale for only $14 and fits true to size.

Hello all and happy Monday!  I am currently writing this from outside as it is such a gorgeous day! We had rain for about 75 perfectof the weekend so it truly feels like a breath of fresh air. Speaking of the weekend, did anyone watch the Royal Wedding?? I didn’t see it live, but as soon as I woke up, I watched all of the highlights and read up on all of the details. It looked like a dream wedding and Harry and Meghan were so happy! I couldn’t be happier for them. I also went to go see Deadpool 2 and loved it. Ryan Reynolds is perfect in the part and oh so halarious. If you liked the first Deadpool, then you are sure to pleased with this one as well.

I’ve always been a huge fan of floral prints and wear them year long no matter the season. When the seasons do change into fall and winter, I change over from light brights to dark florals in order to keep rocking my favorite print. They’re also my favorite backdrop to photograph against. The song lyric, “these are a few of my favorite things” comes to mind when thinking of this dress! The eye catching white flowers set against a beautiful blush background make for one stunning combo. The ruffle hem adds some feminine flair while the ruffle cut out in the back gives this dress a fun sexy twist that still feels elegant! On a side note, does anyone know the name of the white flowering trees I’m standing by? They smelled AMAZING! Possibly jasmine? No one knew for sure, but they were increadible.

Sea of Lavender

Tignanello Circle Bag c/o || LC Lauren Conrad Dress (Old, Similar) || LC Lauren Conrad Heels (Old, Similar) ||

Good morning, friends! What a wirl wind the past few days have been! I’m floating on cloud nine just thinking about all of the adventures we just had, but more about that later. I hope everyone had a lovely mother’s day too. I kept telling Ava, thank you so much for making me your mommy. You gave me the greatest gift of all.

I’m not exactly sure what type of flowers these are, but they create the most beautiful sea of purple down along the river walk. It’s a gorgeous spot, especially with the sun setting. Ava bug was my little helper carrying around this Tignanello bag for me. She knows a good circle bag when she sees one! She always says, “mommy loves circle bags.” Haha, she is beyond adorable. Tignanello is a brand I’ve come to know in recent years and appreciate their quality and eye for classic styling and functionality. Their design team draws inspiration from the aesthetic of traditional Italian craftsmanship. One of the best places to shop the handbags is on QVC. I believe you can find some on Amazon too, but QVC is their main retailer. My mom would have loved that, she was a big QVC fan!

Good morning, friends! There’s nothing I love more than a beautiful dress. If I had to choose one item to wear for the rest of my life, it would be that. As soon as my eyes spotted this chiffon dress, I was in love! The vibrant pink and mint floral pattern had my heart swooning along with the flirty ruffles and figure flattering tie waist. The subtle breeze would pick up every now and then and allow the dress to flow beautifully. To match in the same lively floral print is this turnlock clutch. I’ve always been a big fan of matching as gives a sense of vintage timelessness and having a competed look. This bag is on sale now and under $20!

Lavender Floral

Good morning and happy Friday, friends! Today is also affectionately know as “May The Fourth Be With You” for all of my Star Wars fans! We’ll be celebrating by going to a baseball game where they’ll have the Star Wars characters walking around. I can’t wait! This weekend is also Cinco De Mayo and my brother’s fiancé is graduating from college so it’s going to be a busy one.

My love for lavender continues! It’s easy to fall in love with this drss with its fluttering ruffles, springtime florals made up of warm reds and yellows, and a stylish crisscross back. The material is very light and airy making it great for the warm spring and summer days. I’m quite taken with this lavender bag too! While it’s not a circle bag, which has been my current go-to, the shape is so unique and interesting and of course the lavender color totally has my heart. I love that it’s pretty roomy too and an added bonus of gold hardware.

Cheers to the weekend!!

The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of

Floral Dress c/o || Sunglasses || Similar Floral Heels || Rebecca Minkoff Bag ||

Good morning and happy Friday, friends! First, does anyone know the name of the movie the title of this post comes from?? Hint, it’s a classic starring one of the coolest “tough” guys there is and revolves around a bird. I’ll give the answer at the end :) Now, onto this gorgeous floral fit and flare dress from Chicwish that evokes dreams of the sophisticated past. As soon as I saw this dress, the above mentioned quote actually came to mind. I can’t help but think of classic movies starring the loveliest of ladies when gazing upon this dress. The blooming bouquet print is beyond stunning and pops quite nicely against the navy blue background. I adore how the skirt has just the right amount of pouf and the three quarter sleeves making this a fantastic option for the in-between weather we’re experiencing right now. The quality is excellent and has a nice amount of weight to it. The dress fits true to size. I’m wearing an XS for reference.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend! The answer to the name of the movie is “The Maltese Falcon.” One of my favorite Humphrey Bogart movies!

This Dress Makes Me Smile

Yellow Floral Dress c/o || Similar Circle Bag (Mine Is From TJMaxx) || Franco Sarto Heels, Old, (Similar) || Express Sunglasses, Old, (Similar) || Kohl’s Trench Coat, Old, (Similar) ||

Happy Good Friday, everyone!  First off, thank you to my dad for taking these photos for me. The location we took them in doesn’t allow tripods so his help was essential and of course greatly appreciated! This dress instantly puts a smile on my face with its vibrant sunshine yellow color adorned with pretty blossoms. The tie neck and ruffle cuffs add a beautiful touch of femininity that I always adore. I wanted the whole look to feel as if spring has sprung and to be bright and cheery. I had so many people stop to comment on either the dress, shoes, or trench coat. Needless to say, this outfit was a hit! The dress fits true to size.

This was our last day and one that turned out to be amazing. I actually came down with a nasty stomach bug and spent most of the time in bed, but felt better by the end of the trip and we made sure to pack as much into the last day as we could. We had some yummy snacks at Rare Sweets where Ava got her famous cherry blossom cookie and then took a walk around before heading over to Arlington National Cemetery to pay our respects at JFK’s grave. Finally we headed to a late lunch with our family memebers. It’s always so wonderful to see them. I wish we lived closer!

I hope everyone has a blessed weekend and enjoys the Easter holiday! Below are some more photos from the day.

Black & White Florals

Floral Circle Dress c/o || Humble Chic Cardigan c/o || Ralph Lauren Bag || Sunglasses || Similar Necklace || DW Rose Gold Watch c/o || Similar Shoes ||

Hello and happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Mine was jam packed filled with seeing family and friends and even getting to meet a new friend. I also got to watch (and loved!) a new series CNN has called American Dynasties: The Kennedy’s Sunday’s at 9pm. There’s six episodes total.

This dress takes me back to the 1950s and I love every single bit of it! The intricate black and white floral pattern is striking enough on its own, but add in a little pop of color and you have a whole new impact on the look. Typically, I would have gone with red to complete this outfit, but instead went for a bright pink for a more modern take on a classic look/color combination. The dress itself fits true to size and is under $20.
