Beauty Update Winter Edition

Pink Fleece Robe || Aztec Clay Mask ||

Good morning, friends! Winter weather can be quite harsh on skin and with that in mind, I’ve been making sure to fill my beauty routine with products meant to help keep skin looking fresh, supple, and moisturized. Not only is it important to pay special attention to your skin in the winter, but I also wanted to keep my beauty routine as budget friendly as possible. This body exfoliator is under $5, which this exfoliating clay mask is under $8 for a 1lb tub.

  • This is by far my favorite body exfoliator. I use it a few times a week to keep my skin soft, glowing, and smooth during the winter months when skin tends to look dull. You cannot beat the bergamot and sweet orange essential oils that smell amazing and soothe the senses. For under $5, this is a true winner to stock up on.

  • I recently added this clay mask to my weekly beauty routine (about 3 times per week) and wish that I had started sooner. I’ve always wanted to try it, but for one reason or another, never took the plunge. This mask comes in a powder form that needs to be mixed with either equal parts water or apple cider vinegar, which in my opinion works the best. 100% natural calcium bentonite clay deep cleans the pores and is ideal for acne or blemishes. Another plus is how soft and smooth my skin is after rinsing the mask off. Not only does it deep clean the pores, but it exfoliates as well. The mask does leave your face red for about 20-30 mins afterwards, which is completely normal. I leave mine on for around 30 mins and then wash it off in a large bowl of warm water, which I then toss outside. I read some stories about the clay clogging water pipes and did not want to chance it. Regardless of your skin type, I’d recommend moisturizing afterwards.

  • I’ve talked about this rose serum before on here, but felt it’s worth mentioning again. Without a doubt, it’s a lifesaver for starved skin. Packed full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, this serum renews and rejuvenates to protect and moisturize the skin when it needs it the most. I cannot get over how fabulous this smells too! It reminds me of rose candy and has a subtle pink tint to it as well. Vitamin C, Vitamin A, and Almond Oil are the top ingredients. I love how it soaks into my skin without leaving any greasiness behind. When I mentioned this before, I had found the product on Amazon, though, it seems that the one sold through Amazon is hit or miss. Some people received the actual product and others received a version that looked watered down and smelled different. I’m not sure exactly what’s going on there, but you can also get the serum from the retailers website in the U.K. and also here in the U.S.
