Rainbow Maxi Toddler Style

Ava’s Rainbow Maxi Dress c/o || Rod Gold Sandals ||

Good morning and happy Monday, friends! What a spectacular weekend we had! First, Saturday July 20th was the 50th anniversary of the Saturn 5 rocket landing on the moon. John F. Kennedy’s dream of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth was not only realized, but celebrated with vigor all these years later. My family has always been big with space and the moon so this was a very cool moment to commemorate. The heat wave was also in full effect, which meant lots of pool time! Luckily, we have family members with pools so we were hopping from one to the other. Ava and I also celebrated National Ice Cream Day on Sunday with some yummy treats from one of our favorite local spots.

A few months back I wore the adult version of this fun rainbow striped maxi here. Recently, Chicwish released the kids version, which makes for some wonderful mommy and me summer moments! Ava was in love with this dress and it’s bright colors. The self ties at the shoulder are adjustable and have the cutest tassels on them along with tassel on the hem of the dress. A word to the wise, hand wash this frock only! I accidentally threw mine into the wash one day and many of the tassels fell off.

Another day, another blue and white outfit perfect for fun in the summer sun! This jumpsuit was calling my name with its feminine retro spin on one of the comfiest pieces I’ve worn all summer long. The soft linen fabric has a v-neck secured by two adjustable self tie straps. The fully lined jumpsuit feels just easy breezy to wear as it looks. I was initially worried about the length of the legs, which I why I typically do not wear jumpsuits (short person problems!), but the length hit at a spot I was comfortable with right above my ankle. The legs are supposed to be cropped, which means they’ll look more regular length on me. I’m 5ft 2in for reference. Later in the day, I switched out the pearl headband for this knotted straw one before heading to an al fresco dinner at sunset. One of the waiters came over to me to say I looked like a movie star, so there’s always that, haha! He especially loved these sunglasses and I must concur. They are my go-to signature pair that I wear almost every single day. I’m sure you’ve seen them quite a bit on here!
