Happy Monday, friends! It's that time of year when guys and dolls start thinking about what to wear to their spring formal or prom. Planning for my own prom was stressful enough and I made sure to have enough time to get all of the details figured out. What style of dress did I want? What color and length? How did I want my hair to look? What type of shoes should I wear? This was the one night I would be able to get all dressed up and feel like a princess heading to a ball. I remember how excited and nervous I was at the same time. I had a blast dancing with my date and some of my friends, while also snapping some photos to capture the memories. It is funny to look back at the photos though haha. I was blown away at how different I look and how much my style has changed. Unfortunately, I do not have a full length photo of the dress. I do have one somewhere in an album at my parents house, but not one saved on my hard drive. It was actually my favorite part because of how flowy it was. If I could do it all over again, I would definitely wear this dress. The detailing is exquisite and the full tulle skirt is the stuff that dreams are made of (extra points if you can tell me what movie that line is from!) The top has a soft blush hue with pink sequins and a sexy little cut out hole in the back. That's another reason why I'm so in love with this dress. It's modest, yet has an alluring back and some of the most beautiful detailing I've seen. No lie when I say that this is one of my most favorite dresses that I own. I wanted to wear my hair up for this look because of the back, but usually for every dance I would leave my hair down and curled.

Happy Monday, friends! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! Justin and I took Ava to get her photo with Santa Claus. She did so well and only had a pouty face on when sitting with Santa. We were both afraid she might start crying, but she held out haha. I have the image posted below. We also stocked up on some ingredients for Thanksgiving. I cannot believe it's already here! I'm pretty excited for all of the food and family gathering.
Speaking of, this cozy blush pink turtleneck (also comes in white ) is perfect for the holiday. I was snug as a bug and loved that its a little bit over sized. It'll be great for hiding all of the extra food I'm bound to eat for Thanksgiving! The color is beautifully soft and the weight is fantastic for the cold weather. I was able to walk around all day without my coat on. These pom-pom mittens kept my hands nice and toasty too. There is an inner limning to give that extra oomph of warmth. How adorable are the pom-poms?! These would make great gift items for a fashion loving friend. I know I'd definitely love to get them!

A very happy and relaxing Tuesday! I hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful Labor Day weekend and got some good deals on all of the sales that were going on. If you know me or have been following this blog for a while, then you know my affinity for the color blush. For most, when fall and winter hit, the lovely soft colors get stored away and the darker ones make their grand appearance. I always felt you could wear any color at any time of the year and believe me, I rock pastels all year long! As long as the fabric corresponds to the season, then why not?

Good Monday morning to you! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Mine was jam packed as usual with running around doing errands, baby sitting my dad's dog, and even a little movie time. This is another outfit from Chic Wish. If you haven't already, definitely go check their site out. I love the romantic feel this outfit has, especially with the blush skirt. The bow top I wore for this outfit as well not too long ago. I've had a color crush on blush for the past couple of years and always seem to gravitate towards it. I found the skirt to fit true to size. If you have a waist smaller than a 26 inch, then it may be a little loose. The delicate pattern of roses only adds to the charm of the skirt. My two absolute favorite colors to pair together are blush and blue, or any form of them in pinks, blues, mints, you name it. I'm sure you've noticed that already! I also really love pairing a nice shirt underneath my sweaters for a preppy feeling and a little pop of color. This is one of my favorite blazers I own because it fits so perfectly and has sequins, which make everything better in my opinion. The colors play so well off of one another and the white sweater balances them out, plus keeps me warm in these frigid temperatures! I usually opt for flats or heels, choosing these tan booties instead, to keep a casual feel to the outfit with just a bit of "dressed up-ness," namely the blazer. Valentine's Day Inspiration
Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I could not be any happier! All this week I'll be getting ready for the big day, plus I have a big announcement that I cannot wait to share with everyone. It's one of those holidays that makes you appreciate the one's you love and show them that you care. I love to wear soft pinks or bright reds mixed with gold or whites for any Valentine's celebrations. For this look I wanted something very soft and romantic. I went with an LC Lauren Conrad pink chiffon blouse with a rhinestone peter pan collar and an LC creamy white tulle maxi skirt. Gold sequin heels from Enzo Angioloni and a vintage beaded clutch with roses on it finish off the look. Shop similar styles below.

Sure, some of us are still in the dead of Winter (me included), but why not start thinking about the beautiful Spring season that awaits? Spring trends have already started popping up and I have been searching around for some nice additions to my wardrobe. Spring has always been my favorite season to buy for. There's something about the fresh renewal and bloom going on all round you that makes life feel good. Then again, it could be the sunshine and warmer weather too! Below are some of the top trends for Spring 2015.
Pleats:
Pleats always seem to be in style no matter what year or season it is. It's a style I simply adore and have plenty of in my closet. Pleats feel so feminine to flutter around in.
Blush and Lace:
It's no secret how much I love blush colored outfits, especially ones made out of lace. The romantic quality of lace really has it as a year round fabric, but especially for Spring with its delicate and feminine nature. Equally so, blush seems to be a color worn more throughout the year where as once it was only seen in Spring. Basically put, you can never go wrong with this pale pink color.
A Vivid Trench:
There's nothing like breaking out of the winter doldrums with a bright colored coat to liven up the Spring season ahead. The trench is the perfect Spring accessory by being light enough for the warmer afternoons, but still just enough to keep you warm when the temperatures dip in the morning and evening hours.
Ice Blue:
Blue has always been a favorite color of mine and this Spring its icy hue is taking center stage. Pair with with some silver metallic accessory's to keep with the cool feeling.

Lovely Lace
Recently I've been getting into vintage hats. I adore the delicate pink flowers on this one. It feels so feminine and fresh for Spring and Summer. To compliment the look I chose a blush lace dress with a vintage beaded clutch from my grandmother. The beading has little pink flowers on it. The broach is also vintage with pink rhinestones and a gold finish. I wanted the shoes to be more modern with the height and decided on a pair of nude color ones so they would blend in with the outfit. Notice the tips of the heels have little rhinestones on them. I wore this outfit to my friends baby shower since she is having a little girl, I can't wait to meet you little Madison!, and also, this would be perfect for a lunch date with friends or for some afternoon tea.

Lipstick Confidential
To go hand in hand with yesterday's post, the blushing beauty trend continues with Luscious Lips to perk up your day. My favorite lipsticks tend to be on the pinker side, but do not get me wrong, I love a good classic crimson as well. Another great way to brighten up the day or mood is with a simple swipe of lipstick. Not only will this make your teeth look whiter, but it also makes you look more polished and put together. Win win in my book!

Luscious Lips and Fancy Floral
Dreary days literally call out for a little pick me up. What better way than by wearing bright and cheery colors! Blush tones have always been a favorite of mine to add a little pep in your step. This color also feels very feminine and ladylike, two things I always strive for. So why not store away those winter hues and dig out some beautiful Spring time shades for a light and airy look.
The blazer, dress, and shoes are all LC Lauren Conrad from her Kohls line. The clutch comes from Loft. The femininity of the blazer and the blush tone are what originally caught my eye. Notice the scalloped edges and how it just flows around the body. I chose a nude heel to compliment this look and to have them blend in rather than stand out. Also notice the bow detailing on the heels, it's all in the details ladies!
Pastel's will always go hand in hand with Spring. Luckily for me, I wear pastels throughout the whole year and absolutely love them. They look and feel fresh, which is what Spring is all about as well as lightening up on the layers and the colors in your closet. So why not put a smile on someones face as you breeze by in your effortless blush tone outfit, and remember, it's all about having fun!
