There is something incredibly sweet and special about a party dress. They are like the icing on top of the delicious cake. Add in lace and tulle and you have the dreamiest combo ever! With the weather getting warmer and the season for parties and special events coming up, its inevitable that you'll be searching for that perfect dress for the occasion. I can't help but swoon every time I look at this dress. The way is sways in the gentle breeze has a romance about it that magic is in the air. When a dress makes you feel special just by wearing it or gazing upon it, then you know you have a winner that will excite you for years to come. Spring Formal

Happy Monday, friends! It's that time of year when guys and dolls start thinking about what to wear to their spring formal or prom. Planning for my own prom was stressful enough and I made sure to have enough time to get all of the details figured out. What style of dress did I want? What color and length? How did I want my hair to look? What type of shoes should I wear? This was the one night I would be able to get all dressed up and feel like a princess heading to a ball. I remember how excited and nervous I was at the same time. I had a blast dancing with my date and some of my friends, while also snapping some photos to capture the memories. It is funny to look back at the photos though haha. I was blown away at how different I look and how much my style has changed. Unfortunately, I do not have a full length photo of the dress. I do have one somewhere in an album at my parents house, but not one saved on my hard drive. It was actually my favorite part because of how flowy it was. If I could do it all over again, I would definitely wear this dress.  The detailing is exquisite and the full tulle skirt is the stuff that dreams are made of (extra points if you can tell me what movie that line is from!) The top has a soft blush hue with pink sequins and a sexy little cut out hole in the back. That's another reason why I'm so in love with this dress. It's modest, yet has an alluring back and some of the most beautiful detailing I've seen. No lie when I say that this is one of my most favorite dresses that I own. I wanted to wear my hair up for this look because of the back, but usually for every dance I would leave my hair down and curled.

Happy Monday, friends! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Saturday night has become a new family date night for us. Since Ava was born, Justin and I had not gone to a sit down restaurant for a night out with just the two of us. We mostly cooked at home or one would go out while the other stayed at home with Ava. She had a bewitching hour that usually started around 5 or 6pm, so going out was not really an option. Now that she's a bit older, the nighttime hours are not as bad and we're all able to enjoy a little family date night here and there.

This past Saturday I wore this stunning white eyelet dress from Avady Clothing for our evening out. It fits like a dream and had me feeling like the belle of the ball. Anything white always feels so refreshing and reminds me of spring or summer. The eyelet detail really elevates the dress beyond the ordinary. It's also fully lined, which I always appreciate since white clothing can sometimes be sheer. The pretty pop of pink with a cinched bow belt really makes this whole ensemble pop. I love the bright fuschia color of the Humble Chic cadri. There's something about bright pink that just makes me want to smile non-stop. How absolutely gorgeous are these jewels too?! I knew I wanted a white backdrop for the outfit to build color upon, with the main one being pink. These statement earrings from Lily Lough fit the bill perfectly and absolutely dazzle with different shades of pink and gold. To add even more color into the mix, this statement necklace, also from Lily Lough, has the prettiest shades of purple, pink, white, gold, and amber. There's something so festive and energizing about red during the winter and holiday season. It's one of my go to's when choosing an outfit, especially a party one. The eye-catching color and sparkly sequins are sure to get you noticed and stand out from the crowd. Of course, using a bright red lipstick felt appropriate. I read that heat signifying shades, like bright red, hot pink, orange, and yellow trigger energy levels. Wearing a lipstick, shirt, or dress in those shades during the winter keeps you feeling cheery and excited when feeling down from the dreary weather. I used gold as the neutral color, which pairs so well with red, in all of my accessories. A nice little vintage feather hat feels ever so classy without feeling too over the top.
