Without question, Lucille Ball’s hostess dress from the classic television show I Love Lucy, has always been my favorite outfit of hers. It’s iconic and quite the fan favorite. Until now, there were not many options for re-creating this look. Thankfully, Unique Vintage came out with an I Love Lucy collection earlier in the year and boy was I thrilled beyond belief! They do have a separate jumpsuit you can wear with the gown here. I’ve been an I Love Lucy fan since I was a little girl and even had a little crush on Ricky. All sizes of the gown have been restocked (originally all sold out.) I’m wearing a size Small. Back in the day, this robe style dress was used for adding a dramatic flair to any outfit with pants, while hosting dinner parties or having guests over. I’ve been fascinated with the hostess dress since first laying my eyes upon it on the show. Lucy’s dress was encrusted with rhinestones so I wore a sequin tank under mine to add that little bit of radiance.
