Mother Nature wasted no time in dropping the temperature once October hit this year. While we may be in store for cooler autumn season (I shudder to think what the winter is going to be like), it does allow to start pulling out all of the fabulous fabrics that fall has to offer.

Chelsea celebrated her 18th birthday this past Friday April 17th and we spent the whole day basically snuggling together and giving her some extra treats to celebrate. I feel so very blessed to have my little fur baby. She simply lights up my life every single day. Justin and her even have a very special bond. She fell in love with him from day one. He really knows how to charm the Kretchmer girls! I cannot even begin to explain how much I love her and feel as if she really were one of my own children. She's the best little friend I've ever had.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I spent mine with family and friends antiquing, getting dinner and ice cream, taking hikes, baby showers, and of course catching up on some reading and t.v. shows. One rule I had was to "unplug" whenever I was with my loved ones so I could give them my undivided attention instead of having my face glued to my phone. I caught up with as many people as I could on Sunday when I re-plugged myself, and I am always amazed by the lovely inspiration I see, so I did feel better about that since I consider so many on IG to be friends as well! Also, the weather was starting to warm up which meant going outside without a coat was possible. Definitely a win in my book.
This outfit started with the striped skirt, which is stretchy and great for still fitting, being comfortable and totally wearable for anyone. The polka dot shoes gave this some pizazz and a cute little twist. I've been wearing them non-stop lately. My little baby bump is starting to really show too. She's been quite the little kicker lately.
I hope everyone had the most wonderful Easter with their family and loved ones. I had a lovely day spent with my family beginning at church and then going to brunch to relax and enjoy the day. I picked up this Target shirt last week and fell in love with its bright sunny yellow color. These Shoedazzle heels also caught my eye with their sparkly embellishment and pretty floral details. I also got the blue/pink shade they come in. How could you resist?! Lately the weather has been starting to warm up, but we've been having some major cloud cover. Whenever the weather seems dreary, I always try to wear something bright and colorful.
This is technically a few days late, but these photos were taken on the first day of spring and surprise! It snowed 3-5 inches in North Eastern Pennsylvania, which if you live here is really no surprise at all. Winter lasts a minimum of seven months, sometimes longer. Sigh. I could really use some of that California sunshine right about now! I refused to dress for winter on the first day of spring so I pulled out my rain boots, rain jacket, a punchy peach colored dress, and my new satchel from Target. They have so many colorful purses right now that are absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend stopping in at your local store to check out a few pieces. The only winter item I put on was my vintage hat because it was a bit frigid outside!
I took a much needed break yesterday since I've been battling this cold, which took a slight turn for the worse, and could not be happier that I did. Nothing like a little rest to help heal the body. This is a bitter sweet post since it is my last California outfit, but oh what a fun day we had at the San Diego zoo! I wanted something that was comfortable since I knew we would be walking around the whole day. I picked up these espadrilles at a Target in San Diego, that has two floors!, and absolutely fell in love with the tropical print and comfort of them! You will not be disappointed with these. The tote was great for storing anything we bought and even my camera when I did not want to lug it around my neck anymore. Let me just say also that tunics are absolutely perfect for pregnancy. I was so comfy in this and adore that I can wear it afterwards as well. A win-win situation in my book.

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend! I'm been trying to get over this never ending cold I picked up in California so needless to say, I've been very tired and worn out lately. With all of that aside, this fun Spring time look is so cheery with its pretty pink flamingo and candy colored bag, it simply makes me smile. Navy blue was the base color for my tank and skirt with pops of playful pink to brighten up the look and a light weight blazer to pull it all together. The hat I purchased the day before in Coronado at the French Room quickly became a favorite I wore everywhere. I also fell in love with these cute little beaded bracelets I got at the French Room with their stunning blue colors and romantic wording of "love."
This day was all about lounging on the beach. We went to La Jolla Shores and spent the whole day laying on the beach watching the ocean until sunset when we packed the car back up and then went back down to the beach to see the sun dip down into the ocean. It was a wonderfully relaxing day and just what I wanted. I used this LC Lauren Conrad sweater as a swim suit cover up. I love the lacy details and white colors. So fresh and romantic for the beach. The stripped dress is actually a maternity one from Target. It's the only maternity piece of clothing I own currently. It was so comfortable to wear, especially on a low key day.

Happy Thursday! Almost to the weekend. Whew, was it me or did this week just fly by? This look is all about soft pretty blues, mints, and a hint of rose gold. These loafers from Forever 21 are so lovely. I absolutely adore them. If you do want to purchase these, I would suggest going down 1/2 a size for a good fit. The blue and white blazer feels so fresh and summery, just what I need to get me out of the winter dull drums. The blazer is available online, but only in plus-sizes. I purchased this from an actual Target store.

My two absolute favorite colors to pair together are blush and blue, or any form of them in pinks, blues, mints, you name it. I'm sure you've noticed that already! I also really love pairing a nice shirt underneath my sweaters for a preppy feeling and a little pop of color. This is one of my favorite blazers I own because it fits so perfectly and has sequins, which make everything better in my opinion. The colors play so well off of one another and the white sweater balances them out, plus keeps me warm in these frigid temperatures! I usually opt for flats or heels, choosing these tan booties instead, to keep a casual feel to the outfit with just a bit of "dressed up-ness," namely the blazer. Almost all of these pieces are from last season and are no longer available, but similar styles to shop are listed below. I know people usually love to shop a specific look, but I have so many pieces that sometimes an outfit becomes more of an inspirational look so to say.
