For me, that woman who I admire for her strength, perseverance, ability to do-it-all, and never give up even when life was unfair to her is my mom. She was strong, warm, kind, and represented true beauty to me inside and out. I could not have asked for a better role model or mother. I miss her every single day of my life. Likewise, I’m also teaching all of the qualities my mother instilled in me to my beautiful daughter. My mother’s love and beauty shines bright from within Ava.

Mint To Be \\ Florals

Floral Top c/o (Sold Out, Similar and Similar) || LC Lauren Conrad Skirt (Old, Similar) || Zara Mint Shoes (Old, Similar) || Circle Bag || Sunglasses || DW Rose Gold Watch c/o ||

Happy Tuesday, friends! Is there anything that reminds you more of spring than blooming flowers and floral prints? What caught my eye with this top is the fluttery trumpet sleeves and of course the floral print, which is different from other ones I’ve seen recently. It’s a great piece to dress up or down! I’m also loving this pink floral top and this pink cold shoulder one with birds making it have a very whimsical feel! This floral top is the prettiest shade of robins egg blue. I’ve had this LC Lauren Conrad tulle skirt for ages and it’s still one of the most beautiful in my closet. It’s from her Cinerdella collection. I swoon very time I see it!

Black & White Florals

Floral Circle Dress c/o || Humble Chic Cardigan c/o || Ralph Lauren Bag || Sunglasses || Similar Necklace || DW Rose Gold Watch c/o || Similar Shoes ||

Hello and happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Mine was jam packed filled with seeing family and friends and even getting to meet a new friend. I also got to watch (and loved!) a new series CNN has called American Dynasties: The Kennedy’s Sunday’s at 9pm. There’s six episodes total.

This dress takes me back to the 1950s and I love every single bit of it! The intricate black and white floral pattern is striking enough on its own, but add in a little pop of color and you have a whole new impact on the look. Typically, I would have gone with red to complete this outfit, but instead went for a bright pink for a more modern take on a classic look/color combination. The dress itself fits true to size and is under $20.

Pretty Pastels

Pink Top || Banana Republic Skirt (Old, Similar) || Floral Head Wrap || Circle Bag (Similar) || Sunglasses || ModCloth Heels (Old, Similar) || DW Rose Gold Watch c/o || Stella & Dot Earrings c/o ||

Good morning, friends! If I had to wear one color combination for the rest of my life, it would be pink and blue. I’ve always swooned over the darling duo, especially in pastel shades. There’s nothing that says spring quite like pastels! Another one of the big trends for spring are scarves. There’s so many different ways to wear them, which makes them a fun accessory to have! You could wrap one around the handle on your bag, around your neck, use one as a belt, or even in you hair like I have above. Mine is actually made to be a head wrap so there’s no extra fabric with the tie. I love the vintage vibe they have too!

Outfit 2: Tulip Top || Circle Skirt c/o (Old, Similar) ||  Mini Shooper Bag || Similar Jean Jacket || JustFab Flats (Old, Similar) ||

Hello and a very happy good morning to you!  I fell so in love with this top that I had to show it two ways! Let’s be honest, we rewear our pieces all the time or there’s a certain favorite top/pair of jeans/jacket that is always in constant rotation. I know I have a favorite pair of jeans that I grab for all the time. I’ve worn them on the blog numerous amounts of times. In fact, I’ve worn them so much that I’ve made a conscious effort as of late to showcase other pairs of jeans on here, haha. Regardless, what I love about personal style is seeing people imagine different ways to wear the same piece. Here, I have two different looks, both equally enchanting and easy to recreate. I adore the bright green and pink in this top. Plus, the pretty tulips! Oh spring, where are you?? On that note, we’re getting more snow today. Booo. It’s supposed to be bad enough that we’re even under a state wide state of emergency. Stay safe, everyone!

Bright Pop Of Color

Velvet Blazer || Striped Top || AG Jeans || Similar Lace Up Flats || Bucket Bag || Sunglasses || JFK Necklace || DW Rose Gold Watch c/o ||  Kate Spade Leopard Belt (Old, Similar) ||

Good morning and happy Monday!  Today is all about some bright happy colors to beat the winter blues. The punch of color from this blazer is truly eye catching. Its so vibrant! I was passing by this building, which turned out to be Canteen 900 Park, and was struck by how colorful the building was. It made for a great backdrop and it turns out the staff and owners are super friendly too! I got to chatting with Adam, who is a bartender there and is in the photo with me above (hi Adam!) and cannot wait to go back to try out some of their food and drinks. Ive been to their other location, Canteen 900, and absolutely love everything there so I have no doubt i’ll be blown away with the Park location.

For all of my east coast friends, I hope everyone was safe during the Nor’Easter this past Friday. We didn’t get too much snow, but the winds were insane. We had gusts up to 60mph. We lost power for about half of the day and luckily that was the worst of it. Also, the Oscars were last night! The movie montages totally made the show for me. Shout out to Eva Marie Saint for being such a class act. I loved that she got a standing ovation. Also, Jimmy Kimmel taking movie stars over to an unsuspecting audience at a near by theater was AWESOME. Everyone was sooo surprised. Why was I not in that audience?! Haha. What a night.

Flamingo Party

Flamingo Dress c/o || White Bucket Bag || Pink Sunglasses || Rockstud Sandals c/o || Seersucker Blazer (Banana Republic Old, Similar) || DW Rose Gold Watch c/o ||

Happy Friday and a very happy hello to March! I completely forgot to welcome in the new month yesterday. It’s the last full month that could have potential winter weather. Thank goodness, I really need some vitamin D and warmth right about now!

As soon as I see some sunshine, the spring dresses come out! We were lucky to have three days of spectacular weather this past week so out came all of my spring wear. It felt so good! This sptriped flamingo print dress makes me happy just looking at it. Blue and white always reminds me of spring and summer. How fun are flamingo’s too?! The dress comes with a matching belt and fits a little big. If there was an XS, I would have gone with that, but a Small was the smallest size available.

Is anyone else as excited for the Oscars as I am?! It is by far my favorite awards show and one I look forward to watching every year. I used to watch it every year with my mom. Justin and I would try to go see all of the Oscar nominated movies in the theater too and then watch the big show together. My favorite moment is when Leo finally took home the Oscar for best actor. I literally started screaming with joy, haha. It’s on ABC Sunday at 8pm. Cheers to all of the silver screen winners!

Spot On

Bow Tie Polka Dot Top c/o || Pink Blazer || AG Skinny Jeans || Similar Polka Dot Heels || Sunglasses || Similar Circle Bag || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || Similar Earrings ||

Good morning and happy Monday!  It is a very happy Monday indeed. Last night ended the four day streak of nonstop rain that we’ve had and that is reason enough to celebrate! I hope everyone had a great weekend too. Ours was pretty low key with the weather, but we did manage to get out for some Sabatoni’s pizza, had a movie night and did a ton of crafts. Knowing ahead of time that the weather was going to be gloomy, I went to Target and got kids crafting items from their dollar spot section. They have so many cool items right now in preparation for spring!

To continue with the happy mood, today’s feature is a pink and polka dot combo that is sure to brighten any day and put a smile on your face. Anything pink is an instant mood lifter for me! Polka dots are one of the big trends for spring and this button down top is a great way to incorporate the look into your wardrobe. I love the girly bow tie at the neck! This top is a steal at only $13 and fits true to size. I have on a small. I’ve worn this top multiple times since taking these pictures and love it immensely. I was wearing it during the instastories video I did on Saturday. I want to thank everyone for your encouraging and uplifting words regarding the video on my journey with acne too! I’m thinking I may turn it into a blog post now.

Mommy & Me- Hydrangea Dress

On Me: Sail To Sable Shift Dress c/o || Boater Hat || Similar Blush Heels || Rattan Clutch || Stella & Dot Earrings c/o || Jackie Kennedy Bracelet ||

On Ava: Sail To Sable Shift Dress c/o || Cat Ballet Flat || Cat Hat, New Version ||

Good morning and happy Friday, friends! This post makes me smile so big! Mommy and Me posts are always my favorite. How cute is Ava showing off her dress?! She was especially excited about the pockets, haha. For two days we had some amazing weather with sunshine and temperatures reaching 70 degrees. It was glorious and literally smelled like spring was here, which meant the spring dresses came out!

These tweed dresses from Sail To Sable are the most beautiful color of hydrangea blue. Cape Cod’s signature flower is the hydrangea which makes these dresses even more special to us. Both are a shift style with fringe at the neckline. Mine also has fringe trimmed along the sleeves and Ava’s has fringe at the front pockets. Speaking of, she loved having pockets to stick her hands into! She’s a smart little lady. Pockets are the best and a feature I always look for myself. I found both dresses to fit true to size and comfortable to wear in the warm weather. I cannot wait to break these out again once spring arrives!

Eyelash Lip Print Tee

Eyelash Lip Print Tee c/o || Similar Jean Jacket || Similar Leopard Skirt || Similar Red Heels || Similar Leopard Top Handle Bag || Stella & Dot Earrings c/o ||

Good morning and happy Thursday! Yesterday we had some AMAZING weather and it was marvelous to experience it after all of the snow and cold we’ve been getting. I can’t wait to share some of the Mommy and Me photos Ava and I took while enjoying the warmth.

I have to admit when I saw this tee, I instantly thought of Marilyn Monroe. The eye shape, long lashes, and of course famous red lips all have me imagining Marilyn while looking at the tee. That alone makes it beyond cool, even though it’s tehnically not Marilyn. She’s always been one of my favorite movie stars and all time icons. Since I had Marilyn on my mind, I wanted the look to be a little more glam with leopard prints and pops of red. The jean jacket adds a casual flair and also some practical warmth since I was headed to the movies while wearing this and knew it would be cooler when I got out of the theater. Trade out the heels for some sneakers and the skirt for some skinny jeans and you have a fabulous weekend ensemble!

Silver Stars

Velvet Star Print Top c/o || LC Lauren Conrad Moto Jacket (Similar Here) || AG Skinny Jeans || Blush Circle Bag (Similar Here) || ASOS Glitter Heels || Freys Sunglasses c/o || Stella & Dot Engraved Ring || Jackie Kennedy Emerald Eternity Band || Similar Star Stud Earrings ||

Good morning, friends!  Talk about an elevated tee! This embroidered star print velvet tee is just that. It is very soft to the touch and looks out of this world, pun intended!, when on. Besides the shinging stars, I’m really loving the slightly high neck this tee has. I’m wearing an XS here, but I would advise to go up one size. The XS fit fine, but I would have liked a little more length and wiggle room to move around. While I wanted to soften the tee up with some blush colors, another way I would style it is with a black circle skirt. I think it would look absolutely smashing!

Three Bows In A Row

Blush Bow Dress c/o || Similar Multi Color Pumps || Similar Blush Circle Bag || Stella & Dot Pixie Earrings || Stella & Dot Engraved Ring || Jackie Kennedy Pink Diamond Ring ||

Hello and happy Monday, everyone!  I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I went to go see The Greatest Showman about P. T. Barnum and let me tell you, WOW! I left the theater feeling absolutely dazzled! The songs were upbeat and uplifting, the performances above par, and the scenery was magical. You could not help but to smile. This film is what makes a movie musical great!

This blush bow dress is the embodiment of romantic whimsy. I cannot get over the darling bows either! They make the dress stand out and give the classic shirt dress style some feminine charm. Transcending all areas, this dress can be worn as a party dress, out for date night, brunch with the girls, or even just around town. I found the dress to fit true to size (I’m wearing an XS) and it’s only $28. I am completely smitten with this dress!

Blue Velvet Dress

Blue Velvet Dress c/o || Leopard Heels || Rebecca Minkoff Cross Body || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || Stella & Dot Engraved Ring || Similar Earrings ||

Happy Friday, friends! Today’s look is all about a date night out with one of the best fitting dresses! A sheath dress is great for extenuating your curves while feeling sexy and elegant all at the same time. The puff sleeve adds an unexpected detail and even reminds me of the 1980s. Big hair bands anyone?? On a side note, my favorite would be Bon Jovi! I’m wearing a size XS and would recommend definitely checking the size guide on this dress as it is very slim fitting.

Has anyone been watching Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee on Netflix? They just got the series with Jerry Seinfeld and I am obsessed with it! The episodes only last about 20 minutes so it’s easy to fly through them. If you’re a Seinfeld fan you need to watch this. I originally started watching the comedians I was interested in seeing, but then I watched all of the episodes and they’re fantastic. My favorites are Don Rickles, Steve Harvey, President Obama, Will Farrell and Michael Richards. Though from what I understand, it looks like there are other episodes that aren’t on Netflix. I was wondering why Jason Alexander (George from Seinfeld) wasn’t in an episode and after some searching saw that he does in fact have an episode (with Newman!) but it’s not included in the Netflix roundup. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

This navy linen dress from Julie Brown NYC features a lace up neckline and the ever popular bell sleeves with a little bit of ruffle to them. I immediately thought of  an ocean or lake getaway when I saw this dress. Oh what I wouldn’t give for a warm weather trip right now! I also envisioned pairing it with accessories for a nautical themed ensemble. I cannot wait to start wearing all of my straw and wicker bags again too. Happy Tuesday, friends!  Today I’m bringing you all of the goodies from the February edition of Glossybox’s monthly beauty box. Their campaign for this month is all about “sealed with a kiss” and includes two great lip products! This was soooo much fun to photograph! The box is incredibly cute, but even cuter is my little Ava wanting to be a part of it. She was all about the roses and even handed one to me, which melted my heart. Now when I say, “I love you, Ava” so replies back, “I love you too, Mommy.” Be still my beating heart! Those are the most beautiful words ever for a mom to hear. Of course, Batman got a ton of love from Ava too. She made sure he had many roses. He’s her secret crush, haha. #bemyvalentine. Now, onto the beauty products!

Star Light, Star Bright

Pink Star Top c/o || White Jeans || Cross Body Bag || Glitter Mules || DW Rose Gold Watch c/o || Jackie Kennedy Pearl Earrings || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || Stella & Dot Brier Ring || Stella & Dot Engraved Ring ||

Good morning, friends!  I hope everyone had a great weekend! Ours was very eventful and the weather even warmed up, but i’ll get to that in a little bit.

As some of you may or may not know, I have a bit of thing for the star print trend and fell head over heels in love with this top the moment I saw it. The stars are gold foil (my favorite) while the sleeves are beautifully tiered and ever so feminine in the prettiest shade of blush. Sigh. It is one of the loveliest tops I have ever seen. Every detail speaks to me and makes my eyes light up. The top is sheer and does need a camisole underneath. Though we are still in winter, I wanted the outfit to have an air of spring about it pairing the colors of blush, white, and gold together for an effervescent feel.

This weekend was a blast! First, we had a warm up with temperatures in the 40s. It felt so warm! It’s funny how the 40s in winter feel like a heatwave, while the 40s in fall feel like an arctic blast. I also took Ava to see her first movie on the silver screen. My friend was going with her son and invited us along to see Paddington 2. I wasn’t sure how long Ava would sit for the movie, but she made it about one hour, which was longer than I thought she would. It was a good first experience! I also got out for a girls night to see the new Fifty Shades movie. Oh the end of an era, haha. All of us have gone to see each movie together so it was fun to go see the finale. I was pregnant with Ava when we went to see the first one, which is crazy to think about. Lastly, I started watching This Is Us after hearing so many people rave about it. I know I know, I’m late to the party, but it IS THAT GOOD. Definitely go start watching it if you haven’t already. The first two episodes set up everything and have some surprises in them. Excellent writing.

Maxxinista

Madison West Circle Bag (Blush Bags At TJMaxx.com) (Compare To This High End Brand) || Love Notes Blouse (Similar At TJMaxx.com) || Kate Spade Straw Hat || Dune London Leopard Bag (Leopard Bags At TJMaxx.com) || Richard’s Jewelry Trays (Comes As A Set Of Three) (Similar At TJMaxx.com) ||

Happy Friday, friends! One of my favorite places to find a good bargain is at TJMaxx. This post is NOT sponsored or anything, but rather just some great finds I found on a recent visit there. Note, everything in this post is from the actual brick and mortar store and not listed on their online website. It’s deifntely worth a trip to your local store to see if any of the items are available there! They always have hidden gems at amazing prices so be on the lookout. I actually used to work there back in college and would see first hand how new stock comes in everyday. One of my favorite finds was the blush circle bag by Madison West. It looks EXACTLY like the Mansur Gavriel Bag, but for only $30. The Kate Spade hat was another great find and it was on sale! Perfect for the upcoming spring and summer. I initially went in to find some jewelry cases since I’ve found some beautiful glass ones at TJMaxx and Marshall’s before. Upon seeing the triple trays from Richard’s, I decided to go with those instead and LOVE them. They look so chic and allow all of my jewelry to be seen. I hate when my jewelry is tucked away in boxes or drawers. You cannot see what you have then! How adorable is the blouse from Love Notes?! It has an eyelash, lip, and heart print on it. Plus the blue stripes are a classic print that will never go out of style. The leopard bag from Dune London looks way more expensive than it is with a top handle, gold detailing, and pops of red along the sides.

I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday and weekend!

Ecstasy Of Gold

Gold Tweed Dress c/o || Shoedazzle Barbie Style Heels c/o || Similar White Clutch || Freyrs Sunglasses c/o || DW Rose Gold Watch c/o || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || Jackie Kennedy Pearl Earrings || Stella & Dot Brier Ring || Stella & Dot Engraved Ring ||

Good morning and happy Thursday, everyone!  There’s no doubt that I get a little bit excited whenever I see gold details or embellishments. I’m a long time fan of the warm metallic and can never seem to get enough. This tweed dress looks exceptionally luxe featuring a drop waist, tie neck, gold buttons, and a gold plaid pattern throughout.  I found it to fit true to size (wearing an XS). Recently, Shoedazzle teamed up with Barbie Style to create shoes based on what the iconic fashion doll wears. There are truly some amazing styles that were curated as if Barbie were walking the streets of New York Fashion Week herself. If you haven’t seen Barbie Style on instagram yet, definitely go check that out. It’s kind of mind blowing and you’ll get lost for a few minutes seeing her as a fashion blogger! These black pumps are from the Barbie and Shoedazzle collaboration. They are literally dripping in gold with an intricate leaf pattern on the heel and ever so glam. What a showstopper! They fit true to size and have a 4.5 inch heel. There are other colors available including red, blush, white, and black. They arrived with a Barbie Style doll, which Ava was super excited about, haha. She took one look into the box and immediately grabbed the doll! I had quite a collection of Barbie’s growing up so it was fun to see Ava play with her first one. The doll even came with some of her own accessories that every fashion girl would want. Included are some makeup, makeup brushes, a clutch, and a phone. Very cool!

Good morning and happy Wednesday, friends! Hopefully wherever you are it’s not  snowing up to 8 inches like it is here. Regardless, today’s look is all about some flirty feminine fun! This outfit combines just the right amount girliness with a little bit is sass and as I just mentioned, a whole lot of fun. Polka dots are big for spring and are being seen everywhere. It’s a print that has never really gone out of style and always reminds me of my vintage vixens. This suede mini skirt is so soft to touch with the prettiest pleats. They also have built in shorts underneath, which is awesome, so no bending over accidents happen, haha. This outfit would be another fabulous look for Valentine’s Day!
