It’s no secret that I love using MoroccanOil products on my hair. I’ve gushed about them before and how the line has transformed my hair care routine. The treatment oil was the first product I tried and was hooked ever since. The oil is literally magic and one I would never go without. My hair is naturally wavy, but still needs some products to help add texture and enhance. After towel drying, I add in a palm full of MoroccanOil Beach Wave Mousse from mid-length to ends. I LOVE this Mousse!! It’s an upgrade from your traditional sea salt spray. It’s a salt-free formula, that adds all day texture and waves without dehydration or stiffness. It also has UV absorbers to protect the hair from sun damage. Next, I add the treatment oil from mid-length to ends. This magical liquid adds shine, silkyness, speeds up drying time, conditions, and detangles. It can also be used as a styling and finishing tool. Finally, I comb both products through evenly and let my hair air dry overnight. In the morning, I’ll add in a small amount of the dry texture spray for a little oomph and finish with the luminous hair spray. There you have it! Sometimes I’ll curl my hair and add in the perfect defense thermal protection on dry hair or the protect and prevent spray on towel dried hair if I know I’ll be styling my hair the next day.

Happy Easter Monday! Today I’m highlighting some of my favorite beauty products I’ve been using over the past couple of months. Almost all of these products are ones I tried on my own, only four of them being sent to me to try out, but I ended up loving them so much and kept them as a part of my daily routine. Many of these started out as products I wanted to try based on what they promised to do and how yummy or beautiful they smelled. What can I say, how something smells is a big part of it! I can tell you every single one of these products delivered on their promises and make either my morning, nighttime, or relaxing bath time much more enjoyable.
Speaking of the bath, I’m obsessed with all of Dr. Teals products for the bath. The pink Himalayan being my favorite scent. I keep multiples of these on hand at all times. Before my bath or shower, I’ll use Sailors Face Oil to take off my makeup and cleanse my skin. It’s so relaxing to use and works very well leaving my skin clean without the tightness soap can give. You can also add a few drops of the oil to your favorite moisturizer. I also love their deep blue face moisturizer, which smells like fruity pebbles! It’s lightweight and doesn’t leave any greasy residue behind. Of course, the nautical theme is what caught my eye to begin with. Their products use ingredients found in the ocean, which I love. I also use the Pixi face mask during my bath once or twice a week. These masks are AMAZING. My skin literally glows after using these. I’m beyond impressed. Another product that has me under its spell is Dr. Botanicals Moroccan Rose Oil. This smells like rose candy. I use four drops for my face and neck both morning and night. It’s been an game changer giving my skin the right amount of moisturize and actually gives me this beautiful glow. I’ve already ordered my second bottle!
Soap And Glory and Love Beauty And Planet both have amazing body products for in the bath/shower and after you get out. I love using the Murmuru Butter And Rose Body Lotion at night. This smells sooo yummy and gives me skin a little shimmer. It’s so beautiful. In the morning I love using Paradise Glossed Body Oil, which has a yummy fruity smell reminding me of paradise. It goes on light and leaves my skin glowing. The retro print also gives me the biggest thrill!
As far as hair goes, there’s a few new favorites here that I’ve incorporated into my routine and also Ava’s. She loves the Cake products because they smell like vanilla icing and strawberry lemonade. She’s a scent girl too! I found both the hairspray and wave maker at Rite Aid. The hairspray and hair oil from Kristin Ess work exceptionally well. The hairspray locks my hair into place and also gives it this subtle shine. Now, this does not have a delicious smell or anything, it just WORKS. The hair serum I like because you can use it anywhere on both wet and dry hair. It does not make my hair look oily rather giving it moisture on the ends and making them look healthy. The shampoo and conditioner from Love Beauty And Plant leave my hair feeling so lightweight and bouncy. There’s not other way to describe it, my hair literally feels so lightweight. They both smell amazing too. I still use my MoroccanOil hair products as well, usually rotating between these. The MoroccanOil Oil Treatment cannot be beat. I’ve been using it for quite a while now and can not find anything that comes close to it.

Happy Friday, friends! Who out there loves to have a good hair day? *Raises hand* I know for sure that I do! A good hair day always makes me feel as if I can conquer any task and take on the world. The editors at All Things Hair hand picked this specific hair style box of products based on my hair type and lifestyle. I couldn’t be happier with these selections! The Love Beauty And Planet shampoo and conditioner not only smell amazing, but they make my hair feel silky soft and smooth. I tend to wash my hair every other day and use a dry shampoo in between. This one from Dove soaks up any next day oil and leaves my hair with some nice volume and freshness. Plus, it has a beautiful floral scent. My go-to hair product is always a sea salt spray. I spray this in after towel drying to enhance my natural waves and let my hair air dry overnight. I’ve used various ones in the past, most notably this one which has been my favorite for years. The queen beach salt infused texture spray gave my hair some richness, while still remaining soft. It’s almost a cross between a sea salt spray and a texturizer, but without the crunchiness!

Good morning and happy Wednesday! One of my favorite ways to relax at night is by doing my nails. My polish usually ends up chipping within a day or two or I end up smudging the paint while in the process of drying.
Enter the Sensationail Express Gel Kit. The application is beyond easy and the drying time only takes 30 seconds. To start, you buff and shape your nail to your desired shape and length. Next, use a nail polish remover to ensure that there is no left over dirt or oil on the nail. After shaking the Express Gel Nail bottle vigorously, apply the color of your choice in a thin layer. Cap the edges of your nail tips and remove any gel from the cuticles abs sidewalls. Finally, place your hand in the LED lamp for 30 seconds and remove hand once the lamp turns off.

When it comes to hair care, I typically take a less is more approach. I like to use a shampoo, conditioner, and styling oil before letting my hair air dry overnight. It’s a simple routine, yet effective and healthy for my hair. One brand I had always heard about while growing up was MoroccanOil. They were the gold standard of treatment oils, winning award after award, and one I could not wait to try out. Good morning, friends! A few months ago I was introduced to a brand that makes its mission to create beautifully packaged, highly pigmented, long wearing, natural makeup with clean, non-toxic, ingredients. I wore some of Lawlessness Beauty’s lipstick shades in the spring and summer, specifically mixing Dane and Jake together for a nice berry or just wearing Jake alone for a pouty pink. I recently tried Romeo (what I’m wearing above) and love how rich the color is for fall. Be forewarned though, these are indeed highly pigmented making a small amount does go a long way. Good morning and happy Monday, everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. We had the most fun this past weekend, an absolute blast, that I cannot wait to share some photos from! Our church summer fest (like a fair) was also this past Saturday followed by an outdoor service with the sun setting, which was magical. In the meantime, the big talk around town was if everyone got their lawns mowed, haha. We had rain for the past week and I’m talking about major downpours to the point of flooding, though thankfully the Susquehanna river did not flood it’s banks this time. We had a brief reprieve Saturday and a Sunday with everyone rushing around to fit all of their outdoor activities in while the sun shined, including the lawn. It’s supposed to rain now for another straight week, but I’m hoping the forecast will change eventually.
Now, onto this months ocean themed Glossy Box! First, how gorgeous is the design created by Sarah Bolton, on the box?! I’m head over heels for it. Anything ocean related makes me happy :). It did not sting my eyes and actually did get everything off, while also leaving the delicate skin feel soft. I was impressed! NCLA So Rich Cuticle Oil In Mermaid Tears: I’ve used this for the past few days and appreciate how it keeps my cuticle area moisturized, plus it has a really nice scent! The vitamin E combined with sunflower seed oil not only nourishes your nails and cuticles, but locks it in for lasting effects.

Good morning and happy Friday, friends! Im very excited to share my recent visit at Shakti, a high end Aveda salon in Kingston, PA. As soon as I walked in I immediately felt welcomed. Everyone was so friendly and kind! I felt like a I was talking to old friends. The salon itself is gorgeous. An abundance of natural light streams in through the large windows making the salon have a very airy, bright, and cheerful atmosphere.
I had a mani, pedi, hair gloss treatment, and cut done. I’ll tell you, this mama needed some rest and relaxation and Shakti delivered just that! All of the products used were Aveda and are shown here. I’ve been a long time fan of Aveda and their natural ingredients. My hands and feet were so soft afterwards (the foot bath was heavenly!) and I adore the OPI color we chose. It’s really pops for summer! After the mani and pedi, I got a hair gloss treatment followed by the cherry almond shampoo and conditioner. It smells sooo yummy! Lastly, I had a cut with long layers put in and then styled with some curls. My hair looks the best it ever has. It feels soft, is incredibly shiny, looks healthy and has beautiful movement to it.
I knew that I was going to be at the salon for about four hours so I wanted to dress in something comfortable, but also chic enough to go be able to go out afterwards. This tie-sleeve swing dress fits the bill! The color I’m wearing is currently sold out, but seven additional colors still remain. I love how soft the dress is and the cute little tie details on the cap sleeve with an open accent. It’s currently on sale too!
I honestly cannot thank everyone enough for my wonderful experience at Shakti. I really do not treat myself very often with beauty services so this was truly a treat. It was honestly my first mani and pedi too! That’s hard to believe, but I’ve always done them myself. I couldn’t stop smiling as I saw all of the results. Thank you again Shakti!

I’ve always had a love for makeup. I can remember being a little girl anxiously awaiting the time when I would be able to apply makeup. I fondly remember going to Claire’s and Afterthoughts with my mom to buy my first eyeshadows and lip glosses. It’s a joy for me to watch my own daughter now go through all of my makeup and get excited to try different things on. She’s most fond of lipsticks and eyeshadows herself. Watching her veins back so many memories of myself doing the exact same thing with my mom.
I get pretty excited when I try a brand I’ve been hearing many wonderful things about. Mascara and lipsticks are the two items I purchase the most of, namely because I’ve never had a bad reaction or breakout from them. My skin is very sensitive making me extra careful as to what I apply to it. I’ve tried tons of different mascaras and lipsticks throughout the years and have found a few that I go back to time and time again.
Adding to my go-tos are these new products from No7. I’ve seen this brand before, mostly while browsing at Target, and have always wanted to try them. I can happily say that these products live up to their hype! First, the Matte Liquid Lips. I love the idea of a matte lip, but have never found ones that do not dry my lips to the point of unsightly flaking. I was pleasantly surprised when these highly pigmented glosses when on, without feeling sticky, became matte, but still felt pillow-y without drying my lips. My favorite colors are Captivate and Inspire. Grace is a stunning neautral, but I typically need a little more color or I look like a ghost.
Next, the Lash Impact products. Mascaras are my favorite type of makeup. While I don’t do anything drastic with my makeup, I do spend the most time on my eyes creating a soft shimmery neautral base, then liquid liner to crest a cat eye, followed by two to three layers of mascara. At night I sweep on a layer of the Lash Serum on the base of my upper lashes, which stays in place and does not get into my eyes unlike other lash serums I’ve tried. I just started to use this a few days ago and cannot say as to whether my lashes have grown or not, but I’ll keep you updated! The Lash Primer Perfecter is the first coat I put on in the morning. It has a black color and will tint the lashes and act as a amplifier for the mascara. You could also wear this alone if you like a more natural look and to also tint the bottom lashes. Lastly, I apply two coats of the Lash Impact Ultra in the Brown/Black color. I’ve always found that a brown shade looks more natural. The mascara is creamy and dries fast without any flaking! Yes!! No flaking. I get some nice length to my lashes, which also remain smudge free too.
