When it comes to hair care, I typically take a less is more approach. I like to use a shampoo, conditioner, and styling oil before letting my hair air dry overnight. It’s a simple routine, yet effective and healthy for my hair. One brand I had always heard about while growing up was MoroccanOil. They were the gold standard of treatment oils, winning award after award, and one I could not wait to try out. Years later, it’s still the treatment oil I turn to to keep my hair happy, healthy, and full of shine. I use the light version, perfect for fine or light-colored hair. I always use it after towel drying my hair, applying two pumps from mid-length to end. If needed, I’ll apply a very small amount to tame any flyaways. I recently tried their hydration shampoo and conditioner, loving how soft and lightweight they made my hair feel and with the great scent MoroccanOil is known for.

I always find myself the equivalent to a kid in a candy store when I have the opportunity to try new makeup. Products that promise to help with the appearance of blemishes are always on my radar as well. Being an acne sufferer for most of my adult life, this is something especially important to me. Charlotte Tilbury recently launched the new Magic Away Concealer, no longer exclusive to  Charlotte Tilbury stores, it is now available is over 200 doors and selling at quite impressive rate. I couldn’t wait to try it and Love flawless look I can achieve with it. 

What makes this concealer so magical and sought after? It reduces the appearance of blemishes, dark circles, fine lines, pigmentation, and redness. It has a new elastic second skin texture with full coverage lasting up to 15 hours. The concealer is delivered through the miracle precision beauty blender applicator that is designed to roll over imperfections, and hug the under-eye contour for the most flawless application.

The secret is in the all-star lineup of ingredients including Persian Silk tree bark extract, which acts as an age-defying, skin conditioning and rejuvenating agent to improve the appearance of dark circles and puffiness. Good morning, friends! A few months ago I was introduced to a brand that makes its mission to create beautifully packaged, highly pigmented, long wearing, natural makeup with clean, non-toxic, ingredients. I wore some of Lawlessness Beauty’s lipstick shades in the spring and summer, specifically mixing Dane and Jake together for a nice berry or just wearing Jake alone for a pouty pink. I recently tried Romeo (what I’m wearing above) and love how rich the color is for fall. Be forewarned though, these are indeed highly pigmented making a small amount does go a long way. I tend to keep my makeup routine pretty basic, but I do enjoy trying a new lip shade here and there. It can totally transform a whole look! These lipsticks are a luquid with a matte finish. Beautifully designed with amazing color and clean ingredients, these are a true winner in my book.

I’ve always had a love for makeup. I can remember being a little girl anxiously awaiting the time when I would be able to apply makeup. I fondly remember going to Claire’s and Afterthoughts with my mom to buy my first eyeshadows and lip glosses. It’s a joy for me to watch my own daughter now go through all of my makeup and get excited to try different things on. She’s most fond of lipsticks and eyeshadows herself. Watching her veins back so many memories of myself doing the exact same thing with my mom. 

I get pretty excited when I try a brand I’ve been hearing many wonderful things about. Mascara and lipsticks are the two items I purchase the most of, namely because I’ve never had a bad reaction or breakout from them. My skin is very sensitive making me extra careful as to what I apply to it. I’ve tried tons of different mascaras and lipsticks throughout the years and have found a few that I go back to time and time again.

Adding to my go-tos are these new products from No7. I’ve seen this brand before, mostly while browsing at Target, and have always wanted to try them. I can happily say that these products live up to their hype! First, the Matte Liquid Lips. I love the idea of a matte lip, but have never found ones that do not dry my lips to the point of unsightly flaking. I was pleasantly surprised when these highly pigmented glosses when on, without feeling sticky, became matte, but still felt pillow-y without drying my lips. My favorite colors are Captivate and Inspire. Grace is a stunning neautral, but I typically need a little more color or I look like a ghost. 

Next, the Lash Impact products. Mascaras are my favorite type of makeup. While I don’t do anything drastic with my makeup, I do spend the most time on my eyes creating a soft shimmery neautral base, then liquid liner to crest a cat eye, followed by two to three layers of mascara.  At night I sweep on a layer of the Lash Serum on the base of my upper lashes, which stays in place and does not get into my eyes unlike other lash serums I’ve tried. I just started to use this a few days ago and cannot say as to whether my lashes have grown or not, but I’ll keep you updated! The Lash Primer Perfecter is the first coat I put on in the morning. It has a black color and will tint the lashes and act as a amplifier for the mascara. You could also wear this alone if you like a more natural look and to also tint the bottom lashes. Lastly, I apply two coats of the Lash Impact Ultra in the Brown/Black color. I’ve always found that a brown shade looks more natural. The mascara is creamy and dries fast without any flaking! Yes!! No flaking. I get some nice length to my lashes, which also remain smudge free too.

VIIcode Eye Mask

Good morning, friends! Today I’m excited to talk about a revolutionary eye mask system from VIIcode. The eye masks are soft pads with a gel-like material that feels amazing to put on. A fun tip would be to put the pads in the refrigerator before applying them at night. To receive maximum benefits from the eye mask, it is recommended to wear them for eight hours at night. One box comes with six pads, which can be worn two or three times per week giving about two or three weeks worth of treatment. A full treatment would be three boxes total. Now, onto the benefits! Being a busy mom, I typically have under eye circles that I need to cover up with makeup in the morning. Depending on the weather, the delicate skin around my eyes can feel a bit dry as well. The eye pads are so easy to put on. You just peel back the plastic, stick the gel side against your skin, and go to sleep! When I would take them off in the morning, my skin looked refreshed and felt soft. The dryness was gone and my delicate eye skin felt moisturized. My eyes didn’t look tired anymore, but looked revitalized. I really love how these masks work while I’m sleeping too. A totally no fuss system that delivers results with powerful antioxidants. Some of the key ingredients are, Vitmin E, Sodium PCA, Sodiun Hyaluranate, Allantoin, Aloe Barbadneis, and Algin. I was also impressed with the feel of the gel pads. I was worried they wouldn’t ld stay on or would fall off while I slept, but that did not happen at all. The gel had a nice cooling feeling (fantastic in the warm summer months!) and they stayed put all night long. No slipping or moving around. If you’re under eye area needs a little love, definitely give these gel eye masks a try!

Good morning, friends! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. We had a little bit of a warm up and it was heavenly!  Also, a huge congrats to the Patriots and Eagles!! I’m so excited for the Super Bowel. I actually root for both teams so I’m happy, haha. My dad is a long time Eagles fan and I’ve always cheered along the Patriots since I was in grade school.
