A very happy good morning to everyone! Though I currently live and grew up in the country, there’s nothing I find more thrilling than gazing upon a city to watch the hustle and bustle below. Oh the excitement! The sounds of city life alone feed my soul. This particular rooftop is a favorite of mine with views of two famous buildings, the Capitol and Washington Monument. It’s a fantastic spot to bask in the golden glow of a sunset too. As soon as I arrived in the city, I made my way to roof to catch the last of this beautiful sunset and to take it all in. This gingham dress with a ruffle neck and cuffs felt wonderful on. It’s a charming little number! Truly a versatile piece that could be worn on a picnic, to an amusement park, or strolling down the avenue while window shopping. I’m wearing a small and it fit perfectly.

Hello, all! While there are technically still some days left in summer, the weather is starting to slowly change over. I have to say, the weather in NEPA has been all over the place lately, what's new though lol. The end of August and beginning of September were particularly chilly and felt like October. The past few days have actually felt like they should, which definitely put a smile on my face. I still enjoy those warm and sunny afternoons! In any case, I'm wrapping up my outfits that are purely summer influenced and saying a fond farewell to summer 2017. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Gingham is one of those prints that instantly brings to mind spring and summer. Memories of sunshine filled days spent outside enjoying life. This past weekend I got to make some new memories while wearing this black and white gingham dress, which was perfect for the occasion. My dad, Ava, Caitlin, and I all went to the Poconos for breakfast, antiquing, stopped for some ice cream, took a side trip to see a lake, and arrived home just in time for dinner. We had a great time.

The one worker at the antique store said he loved my vintage themed outfit and how perfect it was for the spring weather. For under $30, the quality of the fabric is great and has a fun filled and fancy free feeling to it. I'm already planning all of the different ways I'll be wearing this dress all summer ranging from tan accessories like I have here, to pops of red, or even all black. This dress is a maxi style, which worried me because of my height (i'm 5'2) but I added some wedges and had no problem at all, plus they are super comfy! I'm also wearing a size XS and found it to be a little bit tight. I probably could have gone with a small and had a bit more breathing room.

Happy Friday, dear friends! I wanted to thank everyone for your condolences and kind words about Chelsea. I read every single comment as they've been coming in and it means so much to me to know what great friends I have. I cried after reading all of them, that's how touching they all were. Does anyone have any weekend plans yet? All I know is that I'm watching the Oscars and crossing my fingers for my favorites to win!

Black, white, and red is one of those color combos that will forever remain classic. This shirt dress is perfect for the transitioning season ahead and is on trend with its gingham check print. It even comes with a belt! I'm always a big fan of pieces that come with added accessories. I paired this dress with a turtleneck underneath since it was a bit chilly outside. I added a check print coat as well due to the biting wind whipping around that day. This is a great layered way to wear the dress now while the weather is still on the colder side. Once spring hits, you can wear this dress by itself with some simple sandals or flats with a bright pop of color. How cute is the delicate T ring?! It can be worn alone or stacked with other delicate rings.
