I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! We had some amazing weather that I wish would last into the spring. It ended up being in the high 50s, which had everyone coming out of the woodwork to enjoy the outdoors. I took Ava on so many walks so she could breathe in the fresh air. We all took a nice walk at the state park on Saturday and then on Sunday my dad and I took Ava over the a nearby farm to look at the animals and get some ice cream.

Speaking of the fabulous weekend, I sported this casual chic look that is completely comfy and great for walking around. I love the layering with the chambray shirt, striped tee, and jean jacket. This striped tee from Everly is soft and floaty, perfectly skimming the body without being tight or adding any extra bulk. I had baseball on my mind when I was wearing this and cannot wait for the season to start. We have the New York Yankees AAA farm team in our area (The Rail Riders), which is a great night out in the summer. I always look forward to going and just enjoying the atmosphere, a few ball park treats, and the warm summer breeze drifting through the stadium. ~Sigh~ Summer cannot get here soon enough!

Happy Friday, all! I am so excited for this weekend since it is supposed to be in the mid 40s. Seriously, that will feel like a heat wave after the frigid temps we've been having! What are some of your weekend plans? I really want to see The Revenant, but I'm not sure I'll actually get to doing that haha. I always like to see the majority of the best picture Oscar nominees before the ceremony. It's the one awards show that is a must see for me.

I've said this before, but fringe is one of my favorite trends right now. It's a throwback to the 70s era, which is not necessarily my favorite decade, but this is one part of it I can definitely get behind. I'm pretty much obsessed with this burgundy fringe bag from The Boutique Salon. It's available by phone orders ( 801-739-3555) only right now. Hopefully it'll be on their website soon. I love the rich color mixed with the cross body style and fringe detailing. It's one of those bags that becomes a conversation piece. Check out my instagram for a giveaway we're doing for $50 gift card to The Boutique Salon store.

Spring Time Wants...

Spring Time Wants- Enchanting Elegance

Does anyone else have cabin fever? I know I sure do. I've been day dreaming about all things spring and cannot wait for the weather to take a turn for the better. Fingers crossed that Phil's prediction was correct haha. Whenever I think of spring, florals and bright colors always come to mind. The rainbow, fringe, and tassel trends are still going strong too. None of these items are over $40 either! Now, that is a major win. There's nothing like looking good while saving some money.

Make sure to check out more items from Shein. They're always updating their stock everyday. I cannot wait to see what gorgeous pieces they get in for the beautiful weather!

I hope everyone has been staying warm these past couple of days. If you live on the west coast, then lucky you!, but if not it's been bitter cold dipping down into the single digits and below. Definitely some bundling up is needed! I'm not sure why, but I've always strayed from wearing black in the past. I always lean towards pastels, but there is something quite striking and mysterious about black. Plus, it's totally chic! This double breasted coat is so soft (feels like a fleece blanket!) and I love how the belt cinches it at the waist letting the bottom have a subtle flare. The more flare the better in my opinion! For reference, I'm wearing a size small. The big snow storm the east coast is getting started while I was shooting this. You can see some snow starting to fall on my coat. It kept me warm and cozy throughout the shoot and while running some errands afterwards.

Happy Monday, friends! I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine's Day. Justin and I were able to go out a few days before on Friday to celebrate. We wanted to beat the crowds and actually enjoy our time together. We went to a seafood restaurant and then to see Deadpool, which was hilariously funny. One of the best movies I've seen in a while. If you're on the fence about seeing it, then definitely go. On the actual day, I spent lots of cuddle time with Ava and took her over my dad's house so she could give him his Valentine's day gifts.

I'm pretty much head over heels for this outfit! Who could blame me too?!The pretty polka dots mixed with a bright pop of pink add fun and colorful elements to your wardrobe. The skirt has a nice thick structure to it, which I love. You can tell how well made it is. This outfit would even be great in the spring time. Just swap out the black blazer and bag for white ones and voila, a fresh new feeling.

It's been a crazy winter so far weather wise. One day is feels like spring, the next its back to chilly winter temps that make you want to be bundled up and cozy. I'm not complaining one bit about the spring like weather though, just keep that coming along please and thank you! Since we're back in a cold snap, I grabbed this gray long line coat, which is actually really soft and feels like you're snugged up in a warm blanket. Yes, please! I'm in love with the soft gray color and matching it with other soft neutrals. It creates a winter white feeling. It's one of those coats you could pair with heels or sneakers and still look cool and classy at the same time.

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today I'm partnering with ThredUP to bring you my spring cheat sheet for updating your closet when the warmer weather finally hits. Fingers crossed that it is soon! Would you believe all of these key pieces together cost under $100?! They're name brands too ranging from J.Crew, New York & Co, Steve Madden, H&M, and C.Wonder. I am all about that!

This would be my everyday polished casual look. Spring to me is all about lightening up the colors of my outfits and and layering, which is absolutely key since the temperature changes throughout the day. One of my favorite pieces to throw on is a jean jacket. It's a fun casual piece that matches just about everything in your wardrobe and will keep you warm in the morning and evenings. You can never go wrong with it! Another piece you can never go wrong with is a striped top. Since its spring, I opted for a colorful one in pink. This is such a classic piece that can be worn dressed up or down. You'll grab for it every time. My next item is a white eyelet skirt. You can also choose a pair of white skinnies or shorts if you live in a warmer area. The same idea here goes with the lighter colors and the feeling of being fresh and renewed. Nothing feels or looks fresher than crisp white. The eyelet detail is one that instantly says spring or summer. I love putting on a pair of fun flats when I'm running around or heading to an event that requires a lot of walking. Think an amusement park or taking a trip to New York City, all of which are things I usually do when spring hits! Fuchsia is beautifully bright and instantly puts a smile on my face. It goes with all of springs wonderful blooms of color too. To finish updating your closet for spring, try out a crossbody bag in either a neutral or pop of color. I've really been loving crossbody's lately since I'm using carrying Ava everywhere with me. I need both hands! Below is list of all the key pieces.

Key Pieces For Spring:

1. Jean Jacket (layering)

2. Striped Top (fun color)

3. White skirt (or jeans)

4. Colorful flats

5. Crossbody bag (neutral or pop of color)

These past couple of days have had me dreaming of all things spring. I long for the warmer days filled with sunshine and flowers starting to bloom. Until then, I have to settle for making my outfits feel as if spring were right around the corner! One of my favorite color palates has always been pastels. The soft colors in uplifting shades never cease to put a smile on my face. As you may very well know, I have a certain affinity for blush, but my second favorite is without a doubt mint. I'm so drawn to the bluish-green hue and it always seems to have a calming serene affect. This dress from Everly has beautiful scalloped edges along the arm hole and is the prettiest shade of mint. I layered a bow blouse and trench coat with this since it most certainly is not spring yet here. In fact, the temperature kept dropping as I was taking these photos. We're going into a single digit cold snap. *Sigh* Anyway, this layered look would be great for the beginning of spring when the weather is still a bit cool.

Happy Monday, friends! Did everyone catch the Super Bowl last night? I was cheering on the Bronco's since I wanted Peyton to win in case this was his last year. What a way to end a career too. Literally a fairy tale ending. The game itself was not that exciting, but its always nice to be with friends and family to watch it. I saw Hail, Caesar with my dad and the classic To Catch A Thief with Justin. Hail, Caesar was a little different than I expected, but still good. I mean, come on, George Clooney! Of course, Cary Grant and Grace Kelly on the big screen equals perfection.

Lace is one of those fabrics that exudes femininity and always feels classy to wear.  I love the burgundy color of this dress as a nice alternative to red. With Valentine's Day right around the corner (in less than 1 week!) reds and pinks are always the popular choice, but there's something very seductive and alluring about burgundy too, even a bit mysterious. Not only is the color and detailing of the dress beautiful, but the modesty also adds another element making this dress great for a night out or even a corporate party or elegant gathering of friends.

Yay for Friday! There is nothing I love to wear more than a dress. A skirt comes close, but I've always felt my best while draped in dresses. I've been this way since I was a little girl too. I sometimes wonder how Ava will turn out with her own personal style when I think back to my childhood up until now. When I was small, I remember asking my parents for dresses and "shoes that made noise when you walk." I.e. high heels haha. If there is a special detail to a dress like these sweet as sugar ruffles, that makes it even better.

This dress from Pixie Market has all of the perfect components to make a standout piece. The pretty ruffles are fun and feminine, while the sweater adds not only an extra piece to wear separately, but also cozy vibes for the winter. This is a two piece dress, as I mentioned with the sweater, making it the an amazing piece for every season of the year. I'm definitely in love with the fact that I can wear the crop sweater with other outfits or dresses too. It is sold out at this time, but I'm hoping it'll come back into stock! These earrings from Jewel Be Mine make a stunning standout piece to wear! The bright pink and fuchsia colors with silk and semi-precious stones pop beautifully and dazzle the eye. They're also lightweight to wear. I'm not a huge fan of earrings that literally feel like they're pulling my ear off. Also, cool side note, when I got the package from Jewel Be Mine, it smelled amazingggg. I've never had packaging that smelled so good.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! I'm planning on doing some work and going to see some movies. To Catch A Thief is playing at Cinemark and that is a MUST see. Cinemark plays classic movies each week and I'm a huge Hitchcock, Cary Grant, and Grace Kelly fan. Also, I'm planning on seeing The Finest Hours since it was filmed up in Cape Cod, my little slice of heaven. I also want to see Hail, Caesar, but that might be saved for next week. Anyway, enjoy everyone!

I never used to wear anything that was olive or army green inspired. I've mentioned before that I've been trying some different looks, with this color and style being one of them. I always try to put my girly spin on it though haha. Here's another army green coat I recently wore. The jewelry set from Lily Lough gives this a glam feeling as well as the leopard heels making this casual outfit feel more polished. The necklace and earrings set are stunningly beautiful. They look so much more expensive then they are (only $28!) The striped shirt from Humble Chic is a great layering piece to have. I love wearing this shirt with some jeans or under a sleeveless dress for some fun added warmth.

I'm totally having cabin fever right now and wanting to wear everything spring like. When I photographed this outfit on Tuesday, it was 50 degrees! If only it would stay that way. Anyone else feeling some cabin fever?

Happy Wednesday, loves! We're half way through the week already! Yesterday, Phil saw his shadow which means spring should be coming early this year. For once, I'm happy with his prediction haha. It really has been feeling like spring here in PA lately, though that is supposed to change this weekend, but all of this warm weather has me dreaming of the beautiful months to come.

One item you can never go wrong with is a little black dress. Not only do they evoke the elegance of Audrey Hepburn, but they always feel chic and sexy without ever losing their classic taste. The detailing on this Humble Chic dress is absolutely stunning. The delicate lace and scalloped edges make this a pretty ladylike choice. The freshwater pearl earrings and necklace are both feminine and exquisite against the dark lace dress. Is it just me or do pearls make anyone else feel graceful whenever you wear them? Both the necklace and earrings would be a great addition to your jewelry wardrobe for a new twist on the classic strand. I'm not one to follow too closely to every trend going on, but if it fits into my style then I'll definitely try it out. One trend this season that I absolutely love is fringe. Be it on bags, boots, sweaters, or jackets, I'm all about feeling fringy. This Shein jacket has fringe detailing that instantly gives it some cool factor, while still being classic. It has a heavier fabric making it a great option to keep you warm. I kept the look casual letting the details make the impact. The jacket actually reminds me of something Chanel would have worn. Speaking of, whenever I think of Chanel, pearls come to mind. I paired these Humble Chic pearl ear crawlers with the ensemble since they also have a fun modern feeling, but are also classic and can be worn with a little black dress or with a polished weekend look like here.

Happy Monday, friends! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Saturday night has become a new family date night for us. Since Ava was born, Justin and I had not gone to a sit down restaurant for a night out with just the two of us. We mostly cooked at home or one would go out while the other stayed at home with Ava. She had a bewitching hour that usually started around 5 or 6pm, so going out was not really an option. Now that she's a bit older, the nighttime hours are not as bad and we're all able to enjoy a little family date night here and there.

This past Saturday I wore this stunning white eyelet dress from Avady Clothing for our evening out. It fits like a dream and had me feeling like the belle of the ball. Anything white always feels so refreshing and reminds me of spring or summer. The eyelet detail really elevates the dress beyond the ordinary. It's also fully lined, which I always appreciate since white clothing can sometimes be sheer. The pretty pop of pink with a cinched bow belt really makes this whole ensemble pop. I love the bright fuschia color of the Humble Chic cadri. There's something about bright pink that just makes me want to smile non-stop. How absolutely gorgeous are these jewels too?! I knew I wanted a white backdrop for the outfit to build color upon, with the main one being pink. These statement earrings from Lily Lough fit the bill perfectly and absolutely dazzle with different shades of pink and gold. To add even more color into the mix, this statement necklace, also from Lily Lough, has the prettiest shades of purple, pink, white, gold, and amber. It's one of those pieces you'll be able to mix and match with different outfits.

Happy Wednesday, friends! Today, my little girl Ava takes center stage to introduce this adorable "These Cheeks Though" onsie and traveling head wrap from See Lacey Sew. Haha, this is actually very appropriate for her. I remember when I had an ultrasound on the day she was born, the technician said she had big cheeks and how pinchable they'll be. She could not have been more right! This onsie also comes in a short sleeve version and is made out of 100% cotton to be soft against a baby's skin. I love the gold glitter writing on this. Gold anything always catches my eye and elevates any outfit, even ones for babies! This road map head wrap is so cute too. Since I love to travel and always seem to be bitten by the travel bug, this could not have been more perfect. I think little ones look adorable with the big bows in their hair. All of the products on See Lacey Sew are hand made with care and range from babies clothes and accessories to home decor. Custom ideas are always welcome too!

A little update on Ava, she'll be 6 months on February 4th. I still cannot believe how fast time is going with her. She loves to roll onto her stomach now, which made taking these photos a bit of a chore. In between each one she would roll over and not want to be put back onto her back lol. She's also started teething. None of her little teeth have popped through yet, but her gums must be sore. She chews on everything, even all of my fingers! She also started eating some solids like baby oatmeal and pureed fruits and veggies. I think the next big thing will be crawling. She'll keep me on my toes for sure!

I took these photos while the storm Jonas was going on outside. Note the snowy pictures of me twirling around haha. I wanted to share one of my beauty go-to's when it comes to hair care. When I want a nice beachy type wave that feels very a la Lauren Conrad, I always reach for the Sultra 1.5in Curling Rod. This gives a beautiful relaxed curl that looks polished and smooth. If you want a tighter curl, I would go with the 1 in. The curling rod has an even heat of 380 degree from end to end locking in your curl and smoothing out the cuticle. I love that added benefit since it even held my curl while the snow was coming down on me. Refinery29 and Rank and Style even named the Bombshell Curling Wand the "Best Curling Wand."

How adorable are these butterfly ear crawlers from Humble Chic?! My mom absolutely loved butterflies so I'll always have a soft spot for them. They have a fun elegant feel with just the right amount of whimsy. They're made of 10k gold vermeile and 925 sterling silver. Gold and blush is another one of my favorite color combos (no surprise there haha!) and this blouse is no exception to that rule. It's a lovely shade of petal pink with a classic shape making it one of those closet staples you could pair with anything ranging from skinny jeans, to a pencil or tulle skirt like I'm wearing.  Humble Chic is giving 15% off of your orders with the code LIKEIT.

Happy Monday, friends! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! Winter storm Jonas came through on Saturday and left about 6 inches of snow for my area. Not as bad as some areas got so I'm definitely thankful for that. It was just enough to have some fun in. Anyone else deal with Jonas this weekend?

I've become a huge fan of pairing red and pink together lately and lets be honest, you can never go wrong with stripes! This is really a fabulous combo to stand out in and reminds me of the Kate Spade saying, "Live Colorfully." This striped skirt feels wonderful on. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and how well it fit me. It's one of those pieces you'll be glad to have since you can wear it so many different ways. Another item I recently got was this wood watch from Jord. It's made from maple wood with a lavender face, thought it seems to be in between a pink and purely hue. Right up my alley! It's beautifully crafted with swarovski crystal markers and sapphire crystal glass. I'm literally blown away!

It's no secret that I love adding a bit of sparkle to my everyday looks. While I have no problem with it, some may find it hard to add something that is usually worn at night into the day light hours. To start, only have one or two sparkly pieces such as a belt or necklace, but nothing more than that. Anything that sparkles or glitters has a very girly feminine feel to it. Try adding in some masculine pieces like an oxford shirt or a t-shirt. The whole idea is to keep the look grounded. Also, try to stay within the same color family during the day. It has a work appropriate feel, but with a little added jazz. Neutrals also work fabulously well. For my look above I stuck with all neutrals, a button down blouse, and kept the green theme of the skirt in all of my accessories. This green skirt would look great with a blue chambray shirt and black heels.

Happy Thursday, all! Today I'm sharing a classic casual look that I love to wear during my down time. I've been looking for an army green coat for some time and never really took the plunge to get one until now. I love the length, color, and collar on this one. When it gets really cold outside I always like the pop the collar up. It was windy when I was photographing this, and also only 19 degrees!, but I felt warm. The deep pockets kept my hands from getting hit with the biting wind as well as the length keeping the rest of me shielded. A cute little side story, my grandmother always told my dad that if a jacket was long enough and covered your bum, then it was sure to keep you warm and toasty. It was all about the length with her haha. Anyway, this outfit definitely has those "cool girl" vibes written all over it making it an awesome choice when you want to appear put together without trying too hard.
