Daisy Dukes

This was our third and final day at the Kennedy Museum. We took our time really exploring all of the exhibits throughout the museum since it was a much calmer day then the previous two. There was a new exhibit for the celebration that included 100 personal items JFK had owned. I was soooo excited to see this. I won't bore you with all of the details, but I did include one photo above that were some of his items like his ties, wallet, sunglasses, etc. Everyone really enjoyed it. Afterwards we did the harbor walk where you can see the city of Boston across the way. It would be a great spot to get some night time shots of the city if anyone is ever in the area.

I wanted to wear something that was fun and casual for the day and could not resist these daisy shorts! My dad thought they were fancy lol, but to me they're fun and something I would sport around town or to an amusement park in. The daisy floral detail really makes them stand out from your regular pair of jean shorts and adds a little feminine flair. They're only $16, a complete steal!  I'm also a sucker for anything white eyelet in the spring and summer. You can literally pair this top with anything and look effortlessly chic. The top is only $23 and for being so versatile, that's a pretty amazing price.

My Birthday Outfit At The JFK 100 Celebration

Striped Seersucker Dress || Yellow Cardigan || Pearl Mules || Wicker Bag || Rose Gold Love Bangle || JFK 100 Pearl Bracelet || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || Christian Paul Watch c/o ||

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday! Today I'm bringing you the outfit and some events that happened on my birthday last week. I have to say, it was one of my best birthday's ever. I have so many wonderful memories and I am so thankful to my dad for making it all happen. Eleven years ago my dad took me to Boston for my graduation gift to visit the JFK Library and Museum. Its hard to believe that eleven years have passed since then, but it felt amazing to be back! 5,386 people attended the JFK 100 birthday celebration, which was record breaking. The cake made my Montilios was 400 pounds, beautifully done, and absolutely delicious! We got there just in time to hear the Navy band play, which Ava LOVED. She was dancing along to them and in the photo collage above, she's clapping at the end of one of their songs. She also really enjoyed the cake lol. I had the biggest smile on my face the entire time and even got a bit choked up during the bands performance of our National Anthem. It truly was an amazing experience.

For the birthday celebration, I knew I wanted to wear something special and summery. The weather didn't quite think it should be summer yet. It was actually in the 50s and rained, but since I knew we would be inside most of the day, I still decided to go with summery. This seersucker dress has adorable light pink stripes running vertically and the prettiest pink bow in the back. Since it was a bit cooler out I opted for a cardigan, this yellow one being my absolute favorite with the embellished pink sequins and sunny disposition. The real knockout of the outfit are these pink pearl mules. I literally cannot get over them! They're the perfect height to walk around in and the pearls and rhinestones add an elegance to them. I received so many compliments on them. They fit true to size.

Happy Memorial Day and Happy Birthday to Us!

^^^ One of my most favorite photos. This is in front of the JFK museum in Hyannis. This was taken early in the morning on May 29, 2014 (our birthday!) My dad took this and captured the scene perfectly. The sun peeked out through the clouds just at that very moment. It's one of my most treasured memories.

My parents are the best! They got this cake made up for me with an image of JFK on it saying "Happy Birthday To Us." Needless to say, that was the best birthday cake ever. It's hard to believe this was 11 years ago.

^^^ This was from my first trip to Cape Cod back in 2013 and one of the most memorable. I fell in love with Hyannis and Cape Cod the moment I laid eyes on it.

^^^ This was from the same trip as the first photo back on May 29, 2014.

^^^ That is the Kennedy Compound in the back where the family grew up and would spend their summer and early fall on Hyannis Port. Thanks to my brother for actually taking this photo for me!

^^^ This was my second trip to Hyannis wearing my favorite JFK hat. It's really the only one I wear!

^^^ This was from our third trip to The Cape in 2015 when I was pregnant with Ava. We always make our first stop the JFK Museum!

^^^ This was from our trip last year, 2016. We actually went a little later in the year around June and had the most amazing weather.

Happy Memorial Day to everyone! I hope everyone enjoys their cookouts with friends and family and maybe even sneaking in some Memorial Day sales as well!

Today also happens to be my 29th birthday and also John F. Kennedy's 100th birthday. There are so many centennial celebrations going on right now for his 100th birthday (check out the hashtag #jfk100) and I am ecstatic that I'll be able to partake in them at the Boston and the Hyannis Museums! When you're getting to know me, one of the first things I'll tell you is that JFK and I share the same birthday, thank you mom! It is one of the coolest things ever for me. A fun fact, there are other members of my family that share presidential birthday's as well. We're a very presidential family, haha!

- I share JFK's birthday

- My brother Michael shares George H. W. Bush's birthday

- My daughter Ava shares Barack Obama's Birthday

- My cousin shares Lyndon Johnson's birthday.

When I was younger, images of JFK were actually all around me, though I didn't know who he was at the time. My mom was a big JFK Jr. fan and she had some clippings of him taped onto her mirror along with magazines of him (sexiest man alive lol.) As I got older, I realized that I shared my birthday with JFK when I looked at the calendar my school teacher had on his wall and saw that May 29th had JFK written on it. I knew he was a famous president, but did not know much other than that. I started doing research on him, reading and watching anything I could get my hands on. I instantly fell in love. My first big JFK moment was when my dad took me to the JFK Library and Museum in Boston for my 18th birthday. I could not believe my eyes! Whether you like history or JFK, this museum is a must. The views are spectacular too. Next came my first trip with my dad to Hyannis and Cape Cod in 2013 for my 25th birthday. Our first stop was to the JFK museum on Main Street. We went around town seeing all of the JFK highlights (they have a walking tour) and ended our first night at the Kennedy Memorial with the sun setting behind us shinning out onto the bay. That trip holds a very special place in my heart.

There is no one that has captured my heart (of course we're talking celebrity wise here) more than John. F. Kennedy. He truly is an inspiration for me. He provides hope of achieving the impossible, hope for a brighter tomorrow, hope to never give up on your dreams. His quick wit always make me smile and laugh and his charm is so swoon worthy. His style and grace even inspires my own today. He was a champion of peace, equality, and justice. He challenged us to be the best we could be. He wanted us to go to the moon, not because it was easy, but because it was hard. He knew that we could accept this challenge, turn it into an opportunity, and succeed.

It is with a happy heart that I say Happy 100th birthday JFK! I cannot wait to celebrate with my family. Cheers to a fabulous Memorial Day for everyone too.

Hello and happy Thursday, friends! A new brand recently launched at Kohls called k/lab. Their motto is :break hearts, not the bank." Eyelash Lip Print T-Shirt

Good morning, friends! This was one of my favorite recent casual looks that I've worn. I especially love elevated casual looks when I'm traveling because, let's be honest, I'd rather be comfortable when I'm walking around and sight seeing then not. A good portion of the trips I've taken over my lifetime end up being more adventure driven then relaxing, haha. Anyway, this look is perfect for your weekend wear or for a weekend getaway to a city. I've had my eye on this eyelash and lipstick print t-shirt for quite some time now. It's absolutely adorable and a fun update on the classic white tee. I'm wearing an XS for reference. This tee is also only $11!

I've also been looking for a classic denim skirt to add to my wardrobe and fell in love with this one. The buttons up the front have an updated feel from the classic 90s version everyone used to wear. I remember rocking mine back in the day! I'm wearing a size small, which fit snug. I wouldn't size up though, just something to be aware of. For under $15, this skirt is such a steal! I also switched out my straw bag later in the day for this camera bag. If you're a photographer or blogger, this bag is for you! I love its whimsical charm. How cool is the tassel strap too?!

Cherry Blossoms And Dreamy Lace

White Lace Dress c/o || Pink Sandals || Circle Bag || Boater Hat || Blue and White Striped Sneaks || Pink Sunglasses || Boohoo Earrings c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Jackie Kennedy Emerald Unity Band || Daniel Wellington Petite Rose Gold Watch c/o || Love Rose Gold Bangle || Lip Color: Ava ||

Good morning and happy Friday, friends! Spring has officially sprung and that means its cherry blossom season, one of my favorite times of the year! I love seeing the gorgeous trees in all of their pink glory. I can't help but swoon every time I see them. This beautiful lace dress from Chicwish was an absolute dream to wear around the blossoms all day. The scalloped hem adds a modern flair to the classic silhouette. This is the type of dress I could wear all spring and summer long. The midi length suits any occasion and the dress was so comfy to wear! I'm wearing an XS for reference. I swapped out my pink sandals for some fancy blue and white sequin striped sneaks once night time hit. I have to say, I love the sandals and their blush hue, but after four hours my feet just about had it. I walked all around the city, but once that fourth hour hit, I was done for haha. The sneaks on the other hand, they were as comfortable as could be. If you're going on holiday or just want a whimsical or trendy outfit, make sure to stop by Chicwish.

The weather was absolutely amazing for seeing the blossoms. High 70s during the day and low 70s at night. I wish those kinds of temperatures would stick around! I'm sick of winter lingering as long as it can. I forgot to mention I recently saw Beauty and Beast too. Wow!!! It was AMAZING! So beautifully done and magical. All of the actors were perfectly cast. Has anyone else seen it yet? I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Christmas in New York

Majesty Peacoat || Embellished Sweater || Button down Top || Scarf || Pom Pom Hat || AG Skinny Jeans || Boston Oxford Shoe || Mansur Gavriel Bag || Similar Pink Gloves || Humble Chic Earrings c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Lip Color: Ava ||

This past weekend was quite an exciting one! First, thank you to my dad for taking these photos with his camera! I surprised my dad with his Christmas present, a trip to New York City to see The Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall. My mom and dad went every year to go see the show and it became one of their favorite traditions to look forward to. My dad took my brother and I twice before when we were younger as well. When thinking about his gift this year, I wanted it to be something special and instantly thought of the Spectacular. It has a lot of meaning and memories of happy times for my family. I know he and my mom had also brought their parents and their friends to go see The Christmas Spectacular too. It was something near and dear to their hearts. We both truly enjoyed the show. It really is an amazing experience and my goodness, those Rockettes!! They've always been my favorite part. I love when they line up and do their synchronized kicks. You leave the theater in the warmest of Christmas spirits. I know we both teared up during the show thinking about my mom too. As soon as the Rockettes came on I teared up a bit. She absolutely loved them and its hard not to think of her when watching them.

The rest of the day we spent walking around and exploring the city. Of course, we went down to Rockefeller Plaza to see the Christmas tree. There was a bit of a nip in the air, haha, so I made sure to bundle up in layers. The cozy scarf and hat really made all  the difference in keeping me warm. I love how regal the navy peacoat looks too. The gold buttons remind me of twinkling stars against a midnight blue sky. Since I knew we would be walking around all day, I wanted to wear flats, but something a bit more substantial and something that would cover more of my feet against the cold. Enter these streamlined and sleek oxfords. Honestly, I've never been more in love with a pair of menswear inspired shoes. Ladies of NYC, this is an absolute must for you! I wore them all day and had no issues with rubbing or sores. We went to The Plaza to grab a bite to eat before watching the nightlife of NYC pass us by. The city comes alive at night and its my favorite time to witness. I adore how the city simply sparkles, especially with all of its festivities at Christmas. Needless to say, my dad and I both had an amazing time with some many wonderful memories to look back upon.

Crazy For Camel

Camel Top Coat || Camel Sweater || White Skinny Jeans || Tory Burch Bag || Marc Fisher Camel Heels (So comfy, wore these walking around all day long) || Similar Pink Touch Technology Gloves, Long and Short || Freyrs Sunglasses c/o || Camel Circle Scarf || Humble Chic Earrings c/o || Karl Lagerfeld Watch c/o || Lip Color: Ava ||

One color I've been crushing on lately is camel. It pairs with literally anything and is the perfect neutral to wear throughout the year. It's a good color to buy some staple items in (think coats, bags, sweaters) seeing as how it never goes out of style and always feels classically cool. For instance, this camel topcoat, which I've been wearing non-stop (size XXS) is polished and a staple item to carry you through the fall and winter seasons. It works for a night out on the town, at the office, running weekend errands, basically anything you can think of. I initially was only going to pair white with camel for this look, but found these beautiful embellished touch technology gloves at a local boutique called BRASHhh in Rehoboth Beach and could not resist. The rosy blush color is another one of my favorites for the season!

Happy Cyber Monday, friends! I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. My dad, Ava, and I took a weekend trip to Rehoboth Beach for their annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. It's always such a fun and festive event with everyone filled to the brim with Christmas cheer. After gathering around the tree everyone sings carols for about half an hour and then the tree is lit. This was the outfit I wore for the festivities. Luckily, the weather turned out to be very mild which meant only some layering was needed during the day. A fun little tidbit, try layering your vest over your blazer instead of under.  I'm also loving this new Karl Lagerfeld watch. Blue and rose gold are one of my favorite color combos and you can never go wrong with some cool sophistication. Above are some of the Cyber Monday deals going on right now from companies that I'm constantly wearing!

Rose Gold Bomber Jacket

Happy Friday, friends! This was our last full day in Valley Forge and again, it was absolutely spectacular weather. I took Ava over to Washington's Headquarters (the photos were taken at the train station a few feet away) where she could play and frolock in the leaves that had fallen to the ground. There was this beautiful golden yellow tree that had dropped a good amount of leaves and that's where we spent most of our time. It's also where the last photo here was taken. She really enjoyed herself! I also met some lovely people who also ended up being photographers. The one, Mike, had offered to take some photos of Ava and I with my camera for me. Thank you so much again Mike!! He took this last photo and absolutely captured the whole feeling of our trip. Diane was also taking some photos that day and ended up capturing some candid shots of Ava and I in the leaves. Thanks again for sending those along to me Diane!

This outfit is a glam version of your everyday casuals. That's what some metallic accessories will do for you! My favorite metallic has always been rose gold. It's a great alternative to yellow or white gold with your jewelry too. This bomber jacket is made from a quality satin and is fully lined. It was perfect for keeping me warm and stylish on a fall day. I actually never took it off the whole day. I'm wearing a US2 for reference. The best part? It's under $30! I've seen some other rose gold bomber jackets that are much higher priced and look exactly the same.

Valley Forge Layering

One of my favorite trips that my dad and I take each year is to Valley Forge. The national park is beyond beautiful with scenic views every where you turn. I am always at peace when I visit the park and find it to be so relaxing. Only a few minutes down the road is the famous King of Prussia mall and shopping district. You would never know there is a city or even a larger one (Philadelphia) nearby when you're actually at the park. It's a world onto itself.  I have a very special place in my heart for the area since Justin and I had lived nearby early in our relationship and then my dad and I started taking this weekend trip for his podiatry seminars.

The weather for the trip was insanely gorgeous. Clear blue sapphire skies with the golden sun shinning down creating warm days that are usually hard to find in November. A simple blazer was enough to be comfortable throughout the day. I wanted a relaxed weekend country look for being around the park using a red, pink, and blue color combo. An easy way to layer that isn't too bulky is to start with a tissue thin turtleneck followed by a button down shirt either tucked in or not. Top that off with a blazer and you're all set!

Dusty Rose

On our last day in the Finger Lakes, we made sure to stop in Hammondsport to browse the main street shops and have a little picnic by the lake. This town was even voted the coolest small town in America in 2012! Pretty neat and I completely agree. You'll find bakeries, coffee shops, cafe's, restaurants, antique stores, art galleries, and a smattering of other stores carrying knick knacks and little goodies to keep your interests satisfied. There is one place to stay in town, the Keuka Lakeside Inn, which Justin and I stayed at before and fell even more in love with the town, and also some bigger places out on the main highway. The Inn is located right on Keuka lake. Bully Hill is also located right above the town, which I why we probably started staying there to begin with.

For our day in town I wanted to wear my favorite color in a fall appropriate hue. I've been drooling over all things dusty rose lately and cannot seem to get enough of it. This coat is beyond dreamy in a unstructured style made with a luxuriously soft wool-cashmere blend. It's one of the most beautifully elegant coats I've ever seen. To compliment the coat, I paired this pink buffalo plaid scarf with the creamy sweater for a soft weekend look. The scarf is oversized and seriously soft. You can wear it like I am or draped over your shoulders as a shawl. Need I say more about the pink too, haha?! I can imagine trading the jeans and riding boots for some trousers in either a matching dusty rose or gray along with heels for an office appropriate look. This coat can carry you from work, to weekend, to dinner dates without any hesitation.

Fall Colors In The Finger Lakes

Woolrich Peacoat || Green Sweater || Blue Blazer || AG Skinny Jeans || Tory Burch Riding Boots || Kate Spade Bag || Daniel Wellington Watch c/o || Quiz Rose Gold Earrings c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Jackie Kennedy Emerald Unity Band ||

One trip I would look forward to every fall was to the finger lakes. It's where Justin and I went on our "mini moon" and continued to go back almost every year. We both completely fell in love with the area, scenery and how relaxing it is. The weekend after our wedding we took a small trip there to celebrate since we wouldn't be taking our big honeymoon for a few more months. We were never into the wine hopping tour scene, but rather went to only a few select favorites. In recent years, that solely became Bully Hill vineyards. Our favorite wine there is called Ravat 51, a sweet tropical wine that tastes like pineapples. Each little town has a main street with charming stores, coffee shops, restaurants and breathtaking views. Whether its one of the lakes, waterfalls, or simply gazing upon the changing leaves, there is a beautiful scene everywhere you look. I even think it looks a bit like Scotland in some of the shots I took, especially since I've been watching Outlander, which takes place in Scotland haha. Great show.

I knew I would layering on this trip since the weather was supposed to be cool, cloudy, and with some rain. It even flurried for a bit! I was not prepared for it to be that cold. I do love layering though. So many different combinations and options! I simply adore this bright yellow peacoat and how gorgeously the color pops. The perfect color to compliment the fall leaves and it brightens up a gloomy day. The color combination is deliciously fall inspired. For reference, I'm wearing an xs in the coat and a 00 in the sweater and blazer.

Marled Turtleneck // Rainy Days

Hello, friends and happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. We had a rainy one as predicted so this post is pretty appropriate. It had also rained a few of the days we were in Rehoboth. While I'd rather it not rain on vacation, it is nice to have some rainy days at home. That always means cozy cuddle time inside with my little love bug! It allows me to also catch up on any reading, movies, tv shows, or chores that I've fallen behind on. I picked up this top (similar) a few weeks ago in preparation for our trip. I love turtlenecks for layering and could not beat the softness and gray color. This time of the year, the weather is so unpredictable at the beach so I needed to bring items that would be versatile and allow me to layer on or off depending on the temperature. This casual look was great for walking around the town and doing a bit of sight seeing.

White Lace // Two Ways

Happy Friday! One of my favorite things about the beginning of fall is still being able to wear summer pieces with light layering. It's hard to believe that only 1 week ago I was able to wear this dress comfortably and now, back in PA, its cold, windy, and rainy. Yesterday, Ava and I just spent the day cuddling inside watching classic movies and polishing off a whole bag of gold fish. I fell in love with this dress the moment I saw it in the store. The delicate lace mixed with the bell sleeves and open back is so dreamy and whimsical. Plus, it's under $30. To switch to a more fall appropriate look, I added this utility vest, black hat, and swapped out the pink sunnies for rose gold ray bans. The vest is a great piece for layering with effortless style.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! It's supposed to be more of the same weather around here with the cold and rain. Booo. Looks like Ava and I will be catching up on more classic movies and snacks. Not too bad lol. ;)

Little Gray Dress

This flowy marbled swing dress is one of those dresses you can simply throw on with ease and head out the door. It's so comfy and I've been gravitating towards gray colors lately. It's fantastic to pair with olive, burgundy, and blush. Some of my fall favorites! I wore this out for our first night in Rehoboth. It was the first time that I had worn these heels and they do need to be broken in a bit before they feel comfortable. They do fit true to size though. The lace ups are totally eye catching and on trend.

I've got so many photos still to edit from our trip!  I'm thinking of doing a separate post on just the family photos once they're all done. This always happens with my vacation photos. I end up taking so many and then procrastinate on editing them. Does this happen to anyone else with their vacation photos??

The Blue Peter Pan

Hey all! Happy Wednesday. It's no secret that I'm such a sucker for peter pan collars As soon as I see one, I instantly go weak in the knees! This blue dress from Dressfo features a peter pan collar, fit and flare waist, and a subtle floral pattern running vertically along the chest. I'm wearing a size small and find it to be true to size. It's just slightly tight in the arms, but nothing bad. The blue color is so striking and pairs wonderfully with burgundy for the fall. This dress is under $30 making it a fantastic deal for the amount of wear you can get out of it. I was even a bit warm while wearing it during the day so there's no doubt it'll keep you toasty. The day started started out being cooler and turned warm once the sun showed up later in the afternoon. That's fall weather for you!

Happy Monday! This past week my family and I had our annual family vacation in Rehoboth Beach, which was much needed if I do say so myself. We all had a great time and felt so thankful to be able to spend some quality time together. We had just about every type of weather you can think of for the fall, but honestly I really enjoyed that! Some days were sunny and hot, some were cloudy and cool, some were windy, and some were rainy. There was very limited wifi where we stayed so I wasn't able to use my laptop. It was nice to unplug for a bit and yet still have a little bit of access to what was going on in the world. Ava did absolutely amazing too! She really is a trooper on all of my trips. Traveling with kids is not the most relaxing thing in the world, but it does bring so much joy to watch them having fun and experience all of these new things with you.

On one of the hot days I was able to pull out this pink lace dress. It fits my body incredibly well (wearing a small) and has the prettiest crochet lace details and cut out in the back. How gorgeous is the eyelash trim on the bottom hem too?! Obviously, I adore the blush color. Even though its fall now where burgundy and olive reign supreme, I still love to wear colors that would be considered more for spring and summer. Think a pink sweater or coat that will look just as chic in the fall or winter and let you stand out from a crowd of darker hues.

Red, White, and Blue Plaid

Plaid Top (Under $20!) || A&G Jeans || Marc Fisher Heels || Tory Burch Bag || Karen Walker Sunnies || Humble Chic Stud Earrings c/o || Daniel Wellington Watch c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Jackie Kennedy Emerald Unity Band ||

Plaid has always been a fall favorite of mine. It's the one pattern that I always turn to and know how easy it is to dress up or down. I personally love wearing it on the weekends for a casual cool look. This top is so comfy and will definitely keep you warm in the cooler temps. I was actually a bit too hot on our Jim Thorpe trip wearing this. The afternoon hours ended up being a bit warmer than expected. On the flip side, it's good to know how cozy it'll keep you in the crisp fall air! I love the patriotic colors, which were perfect for the Labor Day weekend.

The weather has been jumping all over the place in PA. One day it'll be nice and cool in the low 70s and then the next it'll jump right back to the humid 90s of summer. I feel that's how fall always is around my area. Layers are essential! September has always been one of my favorite months, May being the other. The sky always appears to be sapphire blue in September with still warm days and cool nights. I was always excited to go back to school too, haha. Yep, I was one of those kids. Maybe it was just the back to school shopping lol. In any case, September has that feeling of starting anew, most likely because of the new school year, just like May has the same feeling because of Spring blooming.

Pink and Teal Flare

My last day in D.C. was spent at the National Harbor, which is such a cute to visit! Lots of little shops (South Moon Under, one of my fave's!) and restaurants line the streets, while the harbor has a ferris wheel, boating, and one of the most amazing hotels I've seen. It's actually the convention center, but wow, the inside was breathtaking. I have some more photos of it below. It's where these photos were taken. The one wall is all windows looking out upon the harbor. Quite a site to see! There is even a little village set up on the ground floor.

This skirt is actually part of a matching set with a crop top, but I decided to switch it out for a bright pop of color with this swing top. The teal really makes a statement while the skirt has that effortless swish I love so much. Plus, I mean hello, pink! I adore how the skirt has a vintage feel to it that simply makes me smile. That's one of the great things about having an outfit that comes as a set, you can switch out the pieces for multiple looks.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!
