Chicwish Favorites Still In Stock

Hello and happy Friday!! I'm pretty much crossing my fingers for spring to get as soon as possible! Oh my goodness. After the blizzard we just experienced, I believe we got around 28 inches of snow, all I want is some sunshine and warmth. It got me thinking about some of my favorite outfits from last year and even the year before. The last three sets of photos are from 2015 when I was pregnant with Ava. Its amazing how time flies! I rounded up some of my favorite pieces from Chicwish that are still in stock. My absolute favorites are from my Cape Cod trip last year. Everything from the outfits to the scenery are so dreamy. I cannot say it enough, but Cape Cod is my little slice of heaven on earth. I've never been more at peace then when I am there.

Embroidered Jean Jacket // Jean on Jean

Good morning, friends! It's hard to believe I was wearing this outfit only a few days ago and now there is one foot of snow on the ground! The weather has been all over the place, can you tell how windy it was when I was shooting this?!, but I'm hoping this is the last of the snow and Spring will officially be on its way.

Yesterday's post was all about incorporating an embroidered top into your wardrobe for an easy casual spring outfit and some tips on how to transition it to a wear to work outfit. Today follows the same theme with an embroidered jean jacket, which is an absolute go-to for me for most of the year. Jean jackets are one of those staple pieces that never go out of style and always look effortlessly chic. This one is for $30 and looks great with a variety of different looks. Think a little black dress with this jacket over it or paired with a gray sweater and some black skinny jeans. I went with a jean on jean look, which looks good when you pair a darker and lighter pair together, a white button down, and some striped sneaks. I also straightened my hair for the first time in about 14 years using this straightener. I typically leave my hair naturally wavy or curl it. I actually like how it turned out! I may start straightening my hair more often now.

Embroidered Top

Embroidered Top c/o || White Jeans || Sandals || Ray Ban Sunglasses || Seersucker Clutch || Rose Gold Love Bangle || Daniel Wellington Petite Watch c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Jackie Kennedy Emerald Unity Band || Lip Color: Ava

Hey all and happy Monday! Embroidery is one of the biggest trends for Spring, along with blue and white, which I've been completely obsessed with. This shirt has the prettiest little floral embroidery with ruffles along the shoulders and chest. Blue and white stripes will always have a classic appeal that can be matched with just about anything in your closet. Another reason I love this top is that it can transition from day to night seamlessly. You can wear the top casually like I did with some jeans and heels or chic mules like these. Another way would be to pair this top with a pencil skirt, like this simple black one or this pretty scalloped lace one, and some heels for work. For under $20, this top is a total steal and a great way to incorporate an on trend piece without breaking the bank.

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! It's hard to believe that Pennsylvania was having spring like weather and tonight into tomorrow we're supposed to get 12-18 inches of snow. Whoa haha. The weather has literally been all over the place lately. Stay safe if you're in the path of the storm!

Ritual Of Sakaura // Glossybox

Happy Friday, friends! In all honestly, there are tons of products that I test out for the blog and then tell you about them. Some make it into my everyday routine, but most do not. Being the beauty junkie that I am though, it's incredibly fun to try out new products and see how they work. I took the photos for this limited edition Ritual of Sakura Glossy Box last night so the lighting is horrible, haha, but some unexpected things came up during the day. After the photo set, I got this post put together, then took a shower to test the products, and now I'm writing this. I'm actually really excited to talk about these because I was so impressed with them! This box is available for a limited time with subscribers paying $25 and non-subscriber paying $30. FYI, everything smells AMAZING! I would add every single one of these to my daily routine. They are that good.

  • Ritual Of Sakura Showering Oil: This was one of my favorite products from the group. It smells amazing! Cherry Blossom has always been a favorite scent of mine. The oil comes out as a golden color and then turns into foam once its rubbed in. My skin literally felt like silk. It also has purifying properties of rice milk.
  • Ritual Of Sakura Body Cream: After my shower, I put this body cream on. It has a whipped texture and also smells amazing. Every one of the products smells soooo yummy! This has antioxidant-rich ingredients including vitamin E and Centella Asiatica.
  • Ritual Of Sakura Shower Scrub: This scrub is absolute perfection. It isn't too gritty or coarse, but feels really nice and gentle to rub in and remove dead skin cells. My skin felt so smooth and soft afterwards.
  • Gingko's Secret Hand Balm: This hand balm also smells like cherry blossom with purifying properties of rice milk. Its an oil that turns into a silky foam when it comes into contact with water, leaving skin soft and hydrated. My hands really take a beating in the winter and this is exactly what I need to whip them back into shape! I cannot get over the beautiful scent too.
  • Ritual Of Sakura Bed And Body: This beautiful fragrance will put a smile on your face and in your heart. You can apply this fragrance to your body, bed sheets, around the home, or even in your washing machine to give your clothes the floral aroma of cherry blossoms. I'm addicted to this scent! it also contains moisturizing ingredients and comes in a pretty glass container.

Vintage Sparkle

Yellow Cardigan || Similar Striped Dress || Circle Bag || Karen Walker Sunglasses || Shoes || Jean Jacket || Rose Gold Love Bangle || Christian Paul Watch c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Jackie Kennedy Emerald Unity Band || Baublebar Star Drop Earrings c/o || Lip Color: Ava ||

Good morning and happy Thursday! This has been one of my favorite spring outfits so far for this year. Jean jackets and stripes are always a go-to for me when putting together an outfit. They're easy and effortlessly chic. I pretty much use blush as a neutral and these shoes and this bag have been onconstant rotation with no end in sight! These shoes are honestly my favorite and so comfortable to walk in despite their height. I recently got the sandal version for summer and can attest to saying they're just as chic and comfy to sport around. Now, the yellow cardigan with pink sequins is what gives this outfit all of its charm. You cannot help but smile when looking at it. I never specifically need a reason to wear sequins either, haha! Just because is good enough for me. I typically do not wear too many cardigans, but could not pass this one up. It has such a vintage vibe and the prettiest sparkle to it. I'm wearing an xx-small for reference.

Big Bow Top

There's something quite special about a bow. It's one ofthose feminine details that sends my heart swooning. I cannot even tell you how many bow items I have! Whether it be a bow belt, printed top, or piece of jewelry, I always gravitate towards any piece or item with a bow associated with it. This bowknot top is just as sweet as can be. The oversized bow adds some drama to the simple pink top. It is detachable so the top can be worn without the bow if wanted. Also, I found the top to be a bit sheer so a cami would be needed underneath. I told you yesterday that I am having a moment with stripes! I wanted to give the playful top a bold bottom with some horizontal stripes. This skirt is made with a mid-weight fabric and runs slightly small, though I still got my normal size.

Birds Of A Feather

Black and white with a pop of red is one of those color combos I will never tire of. It is endlessly chic and timeless. When I saw the bird print on the midi skirt, I fell in love with its whimsical charm. Not only do the stripes pack a bold punch, but the birds add a touch of fun and subtle color to the outfit. I knew I wanted a dark top to pair with the skirt and chose this lace one for some added romance. Nothing quite says romance like lace does. If you follow me on Instagram, then I'm sure you've seen I've been on a stripe kick lately. Almost every outfit I've worn has included stripes! You can never go wrong with them.

Embroidered Cuff Blazer // Spring Style

Happy Friday, friends! This look was so much fun to shoot because it literally felt like summer outside! Seeing that it was still February, that is pretty darn amazing. I could hardly believe that I was wearing shorts! This is an outfit that you would find me wearing on any given weekend in the spring or summer. I'm kind of obsessed with blue and white right now and could not resist this classic striped bow tie blouse. It's darling dressed up or down. I've also been wearing a lot of red, white, and blue lately, maybe I have July 4th on my mind? lol. It's one of the most classic color combos you can wear and had that nautical Americana vibe to it. How about the embroidered cuffs on the blazer too?! It's all in the details. I've actually been on the hunt for a good red blazer for a few years now. It was one of those pieces that I knew I needed, but always got something else when I was out shopping. I'm totally in love with this one and for $32, its at a price point that cannot be beat.

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! It may snow up my way, which I am not prepared for at all! I've gotten too used to this nice weather. Does anyone else have any plans?

My Makeup Brush Set

If you're like me then you pretty much have your makeup routine down to a science by now. I know which products work for me and what looks best on me. I rarely stray from my everyday makeup routine unless I'm going for a bold look for a night out. Other than that, I stay true to my classic look of a winged eye, blushed cheeks, and pink lipstick. Have you ever thought about the application of your makeup?

Obviously, there are many options out there, but the typical ones are brushes. I remember the first time I saw oval brushes come onto the market and thought they looked interesting. I always wondered how they would work. Would they blend better into a flawless coverage over traditional brushes? I was excited to try this 10 piece set out from My Makeup Brush and see how they actually performed. Each brush handle has what the intended use for the application is. I found that I liked how the bigger brushes were for foundation, blush, powder, and contouring. The smaller ones for eye makeup and highlighting were a bit difficult to navigate, though they were small enough for a precise application. All in all, the brushes definitely work, especially the larger ones. The brushes were soft and felt nice when applying my makeup. The smaller ones I could honestly take or leave and prefer my traditional brushes for that type of makeup appilcation.

Polka Dot Bud Skirt

Happy first day of March! I can hardly believe we are already into the third month of the year. This month also brings with it the long awaited first day of spring, which I am counting down the days until. With that being said, we've been lucky enough to get a little preview of the beautiful spring like weather over these past few days. I could hardly wait to break out some warm weather favorites like this polka dot bud skirt. I'm wearing an XS which fit like a glove. The hem is a high low style with frilly accents. Polka dots always have a youthful flirty vibe that makes me want to smile. The soft baby blue color with white polka dots feels fresh for spring. This white lace top is the perfect wardrobe staple to add for spring. The mesh lace panel gives an update to the classic white button down with a slight vintage vibe. Another great way to wear the top would be with a pair of dark blue skinny jeans and a chic pair of mules. I'm loving this blush pair at the moment.

Happy Friday, friends! I'm typically drawn to soft romantic colors, but every now and then I love to spice it up with a bold and dramatic outfit. Enter this chic ruffled top with a bright cherry red skirt. Its a look that screams care free summer time fun. I'm wearing an XS in the top. It's fantastic for the transition weather seeing as how it has long sleeves too. Speaking of the weather, I've been absolutely adoring the warm weather (hello 70 degrees!) we've been having lately! I make sure to get Ava and I out everyday to enjoy it. Sadly, I think we're still in for at least one more snow storm. The temperature is supposed to drop back down on Sunday. Anyway, the subtle blue and white stripes on the top also caught my eye. I'm a big fan of blue and white clothing, especially in the spring and summer. There's some great blue and white pieces out there right now that I have my eye on. It reminds me the beach, summer, and Cape Cod in particular. Now, I'm really wishing it were summer already!

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! Is anyone else going to be watching The Oscars this Sunday? I simply cannot wait! I watch the awards show every year. It's the ultimate for any movie fans out there.

White Lace Dress c/o (Similar) || Jean Jacket c/o || Pink Heels || LC Lauren Conrad Mini Tote c/o || Sunglasses || LC Lauren Conrad White Gold Necklace c/o || Christian Paul Watch c/o || Rose Gold Love Bangle || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Jackie Kennedy Emerald Unity Band || Lip Color: Ava ||

Today is a very exciting day! One of my favorite brands, LC Lauren Conrad has recently launched a new handbag line and beginning in March, a new fine jewelry line. I remember when there were rumors of a handbag line being added to the apparel at Kohls and I could not contain my excitement. The handbag collection will be refreshed each month with brand new styles including clutches, crossbodies, satchels and totes. The inspiration for the handbags includes vintage details, feminine, easy shapes, marrying back to the apparel in the LC Lauren Conrad brand. Prices will typically range from $39-$89, which is a steal for a well made bag. I'm personally loving the mini tote I have above. The blush shade with rose gold hardware and floral design is simply stunning! It's so versatile for spring and summer.

As I mentioned, along with the new handbags is also a fine jewelry line. Jewelry styles will include rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets and cuffs in either 10 karat gold, rose gold or white jewelry. The types of gem stones included will be diamonds, green amethyst, morganite, blue topaz, and purple amethyst. Prices for the jewelry line will range from $340-$2,525. I cannot wait to see the entire jewelry collection once it launches in March. The necklace I'm wearing above is fabulous for everyday wear with its delicate details and diamond accent in 10k white gold.

Both collections will be available in select Kohl’s stores nationwide and on Kohls.com

Red, White, and Blue Tweed Blazer

Happy Wednesday, friends! It seems that I've been having quite a thing for tweed blazers lately and can you blame me really?! They're one of my favorite layering pieces when the weather starts changing and a heavier coat is not longer needed. They always feel incredibly chic and give a nod to the lovely ladies of the past. While I typically think of a tweed blazer or jacket in the fall, it can also be worn as a transition piece into the spring as long as the colors feel light and airy. This jacket would also be fantastic for those cool summer nights where a little extra warmth is needed. The red, white, and blue color scheme has nautical and patriotic vibes all rolled into one and for only $40, its a piece that won't brake the bank. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the jacket too. The fix is a bit boxy, but I've found that to be the norm when selecting tweed jackets. I'm wearing an XS, which fit perfectly.

Chanel Inspiration

Happy Friday, friends! This look was super easy to put together and at a great price tag too! Those are always the beat kind aren't they?! The look has that classic Chanel feel to it with clean lines, tweed, and the prettiest little bow tie. Now, the tie looks like its a part of the jacket, but its actually on the dress. The jacket buttons up right to the bow. The faux fur on the jacket gives the outfit a whimsical touch too, always a favorite of mine! The dress comes in at $24, while the jacket is $36. An absolute steal for both and with pieces that can be used again and again. I'm wearing an XS in both pieces.

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! We're supposed to be getting some warmer temps so if you live near by then make sure you get some time to spend outside.

Spring Time Feeling

Whenever the weather turns nice, I instantly feel the need to pull out all of my dresses and skirts. Spring fever hit yesterday and boy did it feel good! I do have to say that so far we have had a mild winter, which I love, and have even had some warm days mixed in with the blustery cold. I'm not complaining, haha. With some warmth in the air, I grabbed this peony printed midi skirt along with this striped bow tie top. I've always been a big fan of pairing blue and pink together. It's one of my favorite color combinations and one that I use quite frequently. Pretty much every girl I ran into while out also loved the skirt. You know its a winner when that happens! For sizing, I'm wearing a xs and found it to fit perfectly at my waist.

Plaid on Plaid

Woolrich Jacket || Plaid Sweater || Similar Plaid Skirt || Boots || Circle Bag || Sunglasses || Baublebar Star Drop Earrings c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Jackie Kennedy Emerald Unity Band || Lip Color: Ava ||

Happy Tuesday, friends! I hope everyone had a fun weekend and if you watched the Super Bowl, that you enjoyed the game. I didn't really see any outstanding commercials this year, but the last half of the game was pretty exciting to watch! How about it being the first time ever in Super Bowl history that the game went into overtime too?! I'm a sucker for little historical facts like that. They get me every time haha.

I'm not going to lie, it was absolutely freezing outside the day I wore this outfit. I honestly should have had gloves on because my hands felt like icicles. Plaid is one of those patterns I'm guessing everyone has at least one item of in their wardrobe. It's a classic and has become a staple to wear in the fall and winter months. It's also a pattern that mixes well with others, say leopard, polka dots, or itself as I have above. I love how vibrant the pop of yellow is against the backdrop of blue, black, and white. It brightens up the whole look and stands out from the crowd. Over the knee boots are a lifesaver in the colder temps too. My legs definitely thanked me for having them on! Not only that, but they create a sleek and streamlined appearance making your legs look longer than they actually are. Win win for us shorter gals!

Weekend Style

Happy Friday!! This Sunday is Superbowl Sunday, which means hopefully a good game and some pretty awesome commercials. I'll be rooting for the Patriots. Anyone else excited for the big game??

A combo I'll never tire of is stripes with anything haha. Honestly, you can never go wrong with stripes. I layered up with a military jacket topped off with my camel coat. I know I had mentioned before how I typically never used to wear sneakers, but lately companies have really been stepping up their game in the sneaker department. There are so many chic choices now a days! These are a subtle pink and fit true to size.

Just a quick post for today. I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and if you're watching the Super Bowl then I hope you have fun watching the game! Go Patriots!!

Mommy And Me Valentine's Day

Oh my little Ava bug. These are always my favorite kinds of posts to do. The whole time I was like, oh I love you so much Ava and she kept eyeing the cupcakes haha. She had cake on her first birthday, but this was the first time she had cupcakes and let me tell you, she LOVED them! As you can see from most of the photos, she's holding one and has icing all over her mouth. They were Ava approved! I tried to get our dresses to match as best I could too. I really want to find a store that specializes in matching mother daughter outfits. My dress is an old one from Modcloth. Ava's is a recent one from The Children's Place.

Every Valentine's Day I pretty much prepare the same treats and make sure the house has pretty flowers throughout it. While many feel this may be a "hallmark" holiday, I see it as a day to celebrate all of the love you have in your life. In grade school, we handed out valentines to our friends and as we grew older, we started celebrating with significant others. Whether it be your husband, wife, best friend, mother, father, brother, sister, daughter, or son, you can celebrate with any of these people and show them that you care. The list can go and on and on!

Winter Florals

Happy February 1st friends! In the blink of an eye, the first month of the year is already behind us. It's crazy how fast time moves. Is everyone sticking to their New Years resolutions or at least thinking about them? Usually by this time you've already tried to do something or its been a forgotten thing of the past, haha. I was honestly never one to even make resolutions so there's no judgement from me. This month also features Valentines Day! It's always been one of my favorite holidays to celebrate whether you're with a significant other or not.

Perhaps with the holiday on my mind, I dressed up this past weekend in shades of blush with darker florals for the winter season. I honestly have had this dress for a little while, which it is on major sale right now!, but just had not photographed it yet. I've worn it to family gatherings, coffee dates, pretty much any social gathering you can think of. it's a fantastic dress to take you from fall, to winter, and into spring. How about these shoes too?! My eyes nearly bugged out when I saw them. That little fluffy pom pom on the toe is everything. If you do not wear high heels often, these may be a bit tricky to wear. They're on the higher side. They do take some time to break in too. Once I wore them around for a few hours, they felt much better on. Sizing was also true to size for me.

Vintage Vibes Nautical Style

Happy Tuesday, friends! One of my favorite ways to be inspired is to watch either classic movies or look at vintage fashion ads/photographs. The 1940s through the early 1960s has always been my favorite time periods, especially for fashion. When it comes down to it, I'm totally a vintage babe at heart. I know many of my friends on here are also! This look has a vintage flare with nautical style. Nautical looks catch my eye right off the bat. I'm always drawn to them, whether they be preppy or whimsical, though nautical styles tend to always lean more on the preppy side than anything else.

When re-creating a vintage inspired look, its important to not include too many vintage items or else you look dated, unless that's what you're going for! My hat is from an antique shop and actually a vintage item. The red lips and pearls also give off a vintage flair. Without the hat and pearls though, this look wouldn't be as vintage-y and would have a very more modern edge to it. It just goes to show how a few accessories can completely change an outfit!
