Happy Tuesday, lovelies! I hope everyone is staying warm! It turned bitter cold here in North Eastern PA yesterday. We even had a sleet storm so I guess the winter weather is truly coming to stay. Counting down the days until Spring haha!
I wanted to take some time to talk about something that quickly became very important to me recently and that is body image. First, I never seem to buy pretty lingerie for myself. I always get the practical stuff. I've been wanting to invest in some beautiful pieces like this pink lace set that will not break the bank. The detail and quality of the pieces are fantastic! The back detailing is what really got me. Originally $49.95, the VIP price is $39.95 and if it's your first time ordering, there is a special $24.95 offer. You cannot beat the under $25 price for a comfortable and complimenting set like this. I have to say I feel sexy in these and after having a baby, it is pretty darn important to get that sexy back.
I felt this post would be a good one to talk about body images and how we should all feel amazing about who we are. No body shaming allowed! Lauren Conrad recently said that no body shaming words would be allowed on her website. How amazing is that?! Truth be told, I've always felt good about the skin I'm in and have never felt bad with how I looked. Without going into too many details, I was at the end of some body shamming about my boobs, which made me feel so insecure about how they looked. Even worse, it was while I was still breastfeeding, so yes, they looked a bit different depending on what time of day it was. I loved the fact that I was able to provide my little girl with the nutrition she needed. On a side note, I'm still completely amazed by the fact that I created and grew this little human being inside of me. The rude comments were on instagram, and I do understand that these pictures are public, but making fun of a persons body is crossing a line in my book. If you do not like something I'm wearing, that's different. To attack someone about their physical body seems so wrong though. People did come to my defense about recently having a baby and how that changes your body and so on. To those people, thank you! It's important to have these discussions and not let haters bring you down. While my body may look a bit different after giving birth, I'm still completely in awe of it and love every little detail. If anyone ever dealt or is dealing with this, you can always e-mail me at enchantingelegancephotos@gmail.com. Thanks for reading!
