Each year, Ava and I have a special little Valentines Day party where we enjoy yummy treats and celebrate all things love. This year, even more so, was very memorable since the first word Ava learned to spell and write by herself was “love.” Her first phrase that she wrote and spelled by herself was, “I Love you Mommy, Love Ava.” Cue the waterworks! She is filled with so much love and kindness, I cannot even begin to describe how sweet she is and how lucky I feel to be her mommy. This year, Ava and I made heart cupcakes that we decorated together with pink, red, and white icing along with fun colorful sprinkles for the holiday. We found a pink heart silicone pan, which made baking the cupcakes a breeze. Ava chose the color red for us to wear together (MJ’s favorite color) and also wanted to paint our nails in a matching pink. We’re wearing Essie’s Fiji, the perfect shade of pink. During our party, we listened to MJ’s Thriller album while Ava danced up a storm. We also added some Valentines M&Ms along with our usual candy hearts, cannoli’s, strawberries, macaron and heart shaped cookies. I found this cute pink decanter with a gold rim at the Target dollar section that was perfect for the apple juice we both drank. It’s so pretty to display too! I also found the #gals napkins, pink heart paper plates, and heart paper straws at the dollar section. Cheers to all things love!
