Whenever I think of linen pieces to wear, I immediately envision strolling along the golden sand with the ocean waves rolling in and a gentle breeze sweeping through my hair. It’s an image of tranquility and ease, which is how always feel when wearing linen. It’s a summer staple fabric that keeps you cool by allowing air flow and absorbing moisture away from your body and then letting it evaporate back into the air. I have a few linen shorts and pants and also a lightweight tan linen jacket that used to be my mom’s. It was actually my first linen piece and got me started on my love for the cooling fabric.
When considering how to style linen pants, obviously your setting plays a major role. Is this for the office or for the beach? If for the office, first i’d start with a more tailored pair such as these and top them off with a polished blouse such as this one and a lightweight cardigan for a streamlined look. My look above is more casual for a beach setting or if you’re relaxing and taking it easy for the day. Keeping the look simple, I paired my pink linen pants (love these pants too) with a white graphic tee (seaside!!), cute sandals and an embellished straw bag for a touch of glam. A nice fitted tee with sandals is the perfect way to style a casual linen pant ensemble.
