Each winter I find myself in an inevitable creative slump. I blame it mostly on the weather with the cold and cloudy days taking up the majority of the winter season. When this happens, I like to reach for my books that always seem to recharge my mind and give me that creative spark leading to better content and outfit creations. Similar to watching a movie, getting lost in good books is a way for me to relax and become inspired. Most often, when needing some inspiration, I flip through picture books of my favorite people, i.e. Marilyn Monroe, Jack and Jackie Kennedy, Grace Kelly, Lauren Conrad and so on. Kate Spade’s books are tremendously helpful, gorgeous, and often the ones I reach for the most. My newest book is Yes Way Rosé, a well crafted book on the creation of the brand and the fab ladies behind it. Below is a list of some of the books that have given me that oh so special creative spark and inspiration when I need it the most.
