Ah the romance of a vintage Italian movie in the sweet summertime. That’s exactly what this floral maxi off the shoulder dress from Chicwish reminded me of while wearing it on a gorgeous summer evening. It turned out to be an evening to remember too making this dress all the more special. It fits true to size and has the perfect amount of a fun and flirty feel. A tie sash comes with it to cinch in your waist for a nice fit and flare. I’m also wearing a cute braided headband from Madison Braids that makes styling your hair super easy and stylish at the same time. The color I’m wearing is Strawberry Blonde.

Rainbow Maxi Toddler Style

Good morning and happy Monday, friends! What a spectacular weekend we had! First, Saturday July 20th was the 50th anniversary of the Saturn 5 rocket landing on the moon. John F. Kennedy’s dream of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth was not only realized, but celebrated with vigor all these years later. My family has always been big with space and the moon so this was a very cool moment to commemorate. The heat wave was also in full effect, which meant lots of pool time! Luckily, we have family members with pools so we were hopping from one to the other. Ava and I also celebrated National Ice Cream Day on Sunday with some yummy treats from one of our favorite local spots.

A few months back I wore the adult version of this fun rainbow striped maxi here. Recently, Chicwish released the kids version, which makes for some wonderful mommy and me summer moments! Ava was in love with this dress and it’s bright colors. The self ties at the shoulder are adjustable and have the cutest tassels on them along with tassel on the hem of the dress. A word to the wise, hand wash this frock only! I accidentally threw mine into the wash one day and many of the tassels fell off.

Good morning and happy Friday! Is there anything better than relaxing time spent by the water? I think not! Being by water, whether the ocean, lake, or stream, has always given me a sense of calm. The beautiful breeze that usually accompanies the water always reminds me of the Frank Sinatra song, “Summer Wind.” The lyrics go,

“The summer wind came blowin' in from across the sea
It lingered there, to touch your hair and walk with me
All summer long we sang a song and then we strolled that golden sand
Two sweethearts and the summer wind”

With pretty peonies adoring this gorgeous dress from Chicwish, it’s no wonder you’ll be the belle of the ball! Faux pearl buttons and a slight puff to the sleeves keep this dress on trend while still remaining a classic piece for years to come. It fits true to size and the length is perfect for petite gals! I’m 5’2 and had no issues with the length. The mid section is fitted and reminded me of a corset, which full disclosure, made my boobs look amazing! Haha, honestly, if a dress can do that, then I’m sold.

Good morning and happy Friday, friends! There’s something about a crisp white dress that just feels like spring and summer. Did anyone catch the series finale of The Big Bang Theory last night? It was one of my moms favorite shows and my dad watches it every night in reruns and when a new episode would air. It’s the longest running multi camera sitcom ever. I thought they did a wonderful and heartfelt job with the finale. The elevator works again!!

This dress is one of the dreamiest dresses I’ve ever seen. A beautiful blush color with bountiful ruffles set in a tiered placement, this dress from Chicwish is the epitome of spring romance. I couldn’t help but thinking of The Great Gatsby while wearing this or heading to a whimsical spring or summer soirée. The skirt of this dress is also lovely for a good twirl! My sweet girl was also picking so many flowers for me during this shoot. I couldn’t help but to take a photo of all them in my bag. She’s such a doll!

Good morning and happy Monday, friends! Ava and I are here with some rainbow prints sure to brighten the day. My maxi dress from chicwish adds some sweetness with its candy inspired rainbow print and fun tassels. The straps along the shoulders are adjustable (self-tie) for fit and added comfort. A true win for the summer season, especially for a vacation! Ava’s ensemble is a two piece set with a cat holding balloons on top and a rainbow layered mesh skirt on the bottom. There is an inner lining underneath the mesh and an elastic waist band. She fell in love with this outfit because it reminds her of Mary Poppins so she was beyond thrilled to wear it! Happy Tuesday, friends!  What a gorgeous day yesterday was! I cannot wait to share some of the photos Ava and I took. After she got out of school, we spent the entire day outside basking in the sunshine at one of our favorite parks. We took a walk, played in the sand, made some new friends, and had a picnic. 

One of my favorite parts about spring are the blossom trees. Soaking in their beauty for as long as I can brings me so much joy. This top from Chicwish has a gorgeous floral pattern, v-neck design with ruffle and crochet trimmings, and elastic cuffs. It is a bit sheer, but I found wearing a nude bra underneath was fine. No need to wear an extra tank top. This whole outfit gives me dreamy vibes from the 1940s, which are absolutely swoon worthy!

Happy first day of spring, everyone!! My little chick and I have been anxiously waiting for this day and are so happy that it has finally arrived. A few days ago we got a taste of spring with highs in the 70s, blue skies, and an abundance of sunshine. We were outside almost the entire day. It was absolutely wonderful! We went to the park to walk and go to the playground followed by a trip to Hillside for some ice cream and photos. After that, we looked for signs of spring on another trip followed by a sunset drive. It was quite the magical day. Ava and I wanted to look our spring best with florals and colors to match the new season. She even put her own outfit together!

Enchanted Floral Dreams

There’s nothing dreamier to me than a gorgeous sunset with soft beautiful light filtering through. Add some floral blooms and you have one enchanting evening. This was a look I put together for one of the warmer days we had and I might add, one of my favorite looks to date. The sunshine absolutely enlivened my senses and brought a sense of happiness along with the promise of spring soon to come. Along with the weather, this dress put the biggest smile on my face. It’s pretty pleats and darling bow  neck tie add to its feminine beauty. Not to mention the stunning print! Right after shooting these photos, I went to a local church dinner with my dad and received so many lovely compliments on the dress. It was a wonderful evening filled with good food, good company, and an ensemble that has so much springtime charm.

Happy Thursday, everyone! When in doubt, think pink! It’s often hard to feel inspired during the long winter months. The cold and dreariness start to sink in along with the never ending snow, which we are supposed to get a good deal of this weekend. My solution has always been to brighten up my wardrobe with fun colors and prints that make me smile. For me, that color is pink. It instantly puts a smile on my face and joy in my heart. Good morning and happy Friday, friends! This gorgeous organza dress from Chicwish is an absolute dream. One truly does feel a little bit of enchantment when wearing it. As I always say, it’s all in the details and the details on this particular dress exceed expection. The ever flattering fit-and-flare style will always be my favorite and gives a little nod to the golden age of the 1950s. The dress does have horizontal black lines, but they blend in rather well and from a distance, you can barely see them. They give the dress a demential feel. The sleeves are a sheer chiffon with pretty pink beading and a chrochet tie.

Good morning and happy Monday, friends! As the weather starts to turn from chilly to downright freezing, I love to find pieces that remind me of being cuddled up in the coziest blanket. This peacoat Sherpa coat from Chicwish does just that. It has an oversized fit, perfect for layering sweaters or even another jacket under for those wind whipping days. I felt warm and toasty all weekend long while wearing this. I also thought I’d mention how the pockets are nice and roomy. It’s a small detail, but one I truly appreciated for being able to keep my hands warm and also to carry various items in them. I’m a huge fan of pockets!
