Pink Frills

This is without a doubt one of my favorite outfits that I've worn recently. I keep thinking back to how magical the whole ensemble felt. Each little embellishment adds a bit of whimsy that makes my heart flutter. The layered tulle skirt is the showstopper in the most feminine way. I'm wearing a US 0 for reference. We've been having some amazing weather lately, mid 50s in November!, but I find wearing a midi or maxi style skirt is great for the cooler weather. The extra length keeps you warm while still looking effortlessly chic. How adorable is the bow fascinator too?! The glitter heels, along with the baublebar star drop earrings and bracelet set all add that extra little sparkle as if being the frosting on the cake. The perfect little topper to finish off the girly look. I'm wearing a 37 (US 6.5) for reference with the heels. They're in European sizes, but fit true to size.

Studded Shoulder Denim Blazer

Happy Monday, friends! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I went to go see Inferno with Tom Hanks and let's be honest, Tom Hanks is good is anything he does. Doctor Strange is next on my movie list! I also got some holiday prep shopping done at Target too, which its always good to get a head start on those things. Items like wrapping paper, gift bags, tissue paper, and labels. All the necessities to make your gifts look pretty. My dad and I also attended the Holiday Tea at Hillside on Saturday. They host the event in an old mansion on the farming land with Christmas decorations, yummy treats, and of course your choice of tea, egg nog, or wassel. The fireplace is always lit and feels so cozy to sit by. I look forward to the holiday tea every year and find it to be so relaxing and a great way to get into the holiday spirit!

I actually wore this outfit on election day last Tuesday. I was also very sick and felt like I was dragging myself through the day. In any case, this studded jacket definitely has some rocker vibes to it, which was fun for me since I do not traditionally dress that way. That's one of the things I love about fashion, there are so many different styles out there that you can have fun playing around with. While I do not usually do not do punk or rock types of styles, I can still put my own spin on the look and be more comfortable wearing it. I'm wearing a size US 2 in the jacket for reference. The only thing I'm not crazy about with the jacket are the padded shoulders. They add too much bulk in that area.

One trend that is continuing on into the fall and holiday/winter season are tassel accessories. These tassel drop earrings from Bauble Bar are seriously cute and extremely well made! I went with the gray coloring, but they also have cobalt blue, pink, purple, black, and silver. I want them all! The colors and light catching effects are head turning and a fun take on the trend. These would make a great gift for any fashionista!

Rose Gold Bomber Jacket

Happy Friday, friends! This was our last full day in Valley Forge and again, it was absolutely spectacular weather. I took Ava over to Washington's Headquarters (the photos were taken at the train station a few feet away) where she could play and frolock in the leaves that had fallen to the ground. There was this beautiful golden yellow tree that had dropped a good amount of leaves and that's where we spent most of our time. It's also where the last photo here was taken. She really enjoyed herself! I also met some lovely people who also ended up being photographers. The one, Mike, had offered to take some photos of Ava and I with my camera for me. Thank you so much again Mike!! He took this last photo and absolutely captured the whole feeling of our trip. Diane was also taking some photos that day and ended up capturing some candid shots of Ava and I in the leaves. Thanks again for sending those along to me Diane!

This outfit is a glam version of your everyday casuals. That's what some metallic accessories will do for you! My favorite metallic has always been rose gold. It's a great alternative to yellow or white gold with your jewelry too. This bomber jacket is made from a quality satin and is fully lined. It was perfect for keeping me warm and stylish on a fall day. I actually never took it off the whole day. I'm wearing a US2 for reference. The best part? It's under $30! I've seen some other rose gold bomber jackets that are much higher priced and look exactly the same.

Valley Forge Layering

One of my favorite trips that my dad and I take each year is to Valley Forge. The national park is beyond beautiful with scenic views every where you turn. I am always at peace when I visit the park and find it to be so relaxing. Only a few minutes down the road is the famous King of Prussia mall and shopping district. You would never know there is a city or even a larger one (Philadelphia) nearby when you're actually at the park. It's a world onto itself.  I have a very special place in my heart for the area since Justin and I had lived nearby early in our relationship and then my dad and I started taking this weekend trip for his podiatry seminars.

The weather for the trip was insanely gorgeous. Clear blue sapphire skies with the golden sun shinning down creating warm days that are usually hard to find in November. A simple blazer was enough to be comfortable throughout the day. I wanted a relaxed weekend country look for being around the park using a red, pink, and blue color combo. An easy way to layer that isn't too bulky is to start with a tissue thin turtleneck followed by a button down shirt either tucked in or not. Top that off with a blazer and you're all set!

Pink Lady // Blue Suede Shoes

It's no surprise that my love for all things pink runs deep, but I especially love pairing my favorite color with blue. These blue suede booties are everything I could dream of. The suede feel luxurious, while the heel does not feel too high for everyday walking. I did size up 1/2 a size and found that to be best. I'm also pretty excited about this pom pom sweater. Sweater weather is definitely here and why not wear a fun little detail with them?! This scarf from Avvolto is actually brown with a pink border. That makes it great for layering and matching with a variety of outfits. Pink and brown go with so many different colors! It also has a soft eyelash fringe along the bottom. A darling little detail. How sparkly fab are these star drop earrings and rock stud ring?! I've always been quite impressed with the designs and quality of Baublebar's jewelry and these items are certainly no different. These earrings are particularly wonderful for the upcoming holiday season. They're certainly merry and bright as well as being able to wear them with literally anything. The rock stud ring is adjustable to fit and each stone used for the ring is unique so the size, shape, and color may vary. Who doesn't love being unique?!

Foklor with Aveda

I've always known that Aveda had hair care products, especially since some salons I've been to specialize in just Aveda items, but I had not realized how expansive their product line is ranging from not only hair, but also body care, makeup, skin care, aroma, and items for men. For those of you who are not familiar with the brand, Aveda uses naturally derived ingredients whenever possible. They deliver high performance, botanically based products, while continuing their promise of environmental and social responsibility. Aveda's products are formulated without parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, and are certified organic. I love knowing that what I'm putting on my skin or using in my hair is not harmful to me or to the environment.

I was pretty excited when I saw that Aveda carries a makeup line, as well as body care, that I could try out. Their fall/winter line is called Foklor with dark and sheer colors that accent eyes and moisturize and plump lips. I was impressed with the quality of the products and especially loved the hand cream, which has a nice light scent to it. I've been searching for a new one since this weather has taken a toll on my skin and started drying me out. Happens every year! Its important to switch up your skin care routine once the seasons start to change. I'll be doing a post on that soon. I almost always never wear a dark shade on my eyes, but loved these colors and how they created a beautiful smoky eye, perfect for the upcoming holiday parties! The gold eye liner pencil was a particular favorite of mine. It's fantastic to accent and highlight the inner eye and to lightly highlight the middle of the eye lid.

Silver And Gold

This outfit has an unexpected twist to it, which I love. Its all in the details and this look is chalk full of them. The top and skirt feel very feminine, but the jacket gives it a masculine cool factor. This skirt would also be fabulous for the upcoming holiday season with all of the merry and bright parties to attend. The top is anything but basic black with its whimsical flared sleeves and mock attached choker. The skirt with its pretty pleats and shimmering silver metallic breaks up the black color palate and gives the outfit a vibrant feel. Lastly, and my favorite piece,  is the gold embellished jacket. Oh so obsessed! It's under $40 too. It feels and looks way more luxe than what the price suggests.

Ruffles and Spakles

What really gets me excited about an outfit is the details, whether it be a cute little bow, an exaggerated ruffle, or simple sparkles, its the details that make me swoon. The ruffled sleeves on this gingham top give it a feminine flair with a trendy vibe. I'll always be a sucker for gingham too. It has a slightly boxy cut and runs true to size (I'm wearing an XS.) The top is under $20 too! How amazing are these star glitter pumps too?!?! They also fit true to size and give me all of the feels. They're also part of the the surprise Shopbop sale that is going on right now. It ends today (11-3.)

I have some exciting news that absolutely made my day yesterday. I mean, I was literally smiling from ear to ear and could not wait to tell my family and friends. At the beginning of each month Lauren Conrad chooses 10 style tips to showcase of her website laurenconrad.com. One of my outfits was chosen (the third one down on the list) and she even said it was one of her favorite looks for the month! She has always been one of my top inspirations in not only fashion, but also life in general. It was such a special moment for me, especially since she personally wrote the article, which you can see here. A few years back, I was also one of her Chic of the Week picks and let me tell you, that moment gave me so much inspiration. My jaw literally dropped when I visited her site and saw my picture looking back at me. I remember how excited everyone was, especially my dad and Justin. Both of these moments mean the world to me.

Also, I wanted to note that Shein is now offering 40% off for any students out there! Click here for more details.

This past weekend we had some beautiful weather, which meant I could bring out this dark floral skirt, perfect for fall. I'll always be one to wear florals no matter what season it is. The darker colors feel appropriate, plus this skirt has a subtle shimmer making it daytime glamorous. How pretty are the pops of bright pink too?! What I love most about this skirt from eshakti is the customized fit. It's like having a tailor make the garment for you! You can choose from one of their per-determined sizes or enter your specific dimensions and they'll make the piece according to those. Also, pockets and really, enough said haha. Who doesn't love pockets?!

I hope everyone had a wonderful and fun Halloween yesterday! My dad and I took Ava out trick-or-treating with some of her little friends. It was a really nice development where all of the homes are decorated and fire trucks block off the streets. We had such a fun time and Ava got lots of loot lol. She was Minnie Mouse and I went as Mickey Mouse. She was quite taken by my mouse gloves haha. Every photo I'm in with her she's either pointing or looking at them. Below the post are some photos from the night.

Enza Essentials

Enza Essential Customized Skin Care Suite c/o || Kate Spade Nightgown ||

I'm always on the lookout for the next great skin care item or newest makeup to incorporate into my daily routine. I've heard about Enza before and was intruded to see what my customized skin care suite would look like. This is skin care unique to your specific needs, not a one size fits all, which is super important since not everyone is going to have the same skin care needs. The Customized Skin Care Suite starts by filling out a form describing your skin care concerns and lifestyle. They also offers 30% off if you purchase the skin care suite that was recommend to you by Enza. After your package is prepared, it is rushed shipped to your home, with shipping being taken care of by Enza. Heck yes! I always love free shipping. After two weeks, a representative from Enza will contact you to see how your skin is responding and make any adjustments as necessary.

Below are the products I tested from my suite and what I actually added into my daily routine.

Skin Care

  • Sustaining Cleanser: I use this once in the morning and twice at night. I use this twice in a row at night to first get rid of all of my makeup and then to secondly cleanse the skin. It's a lightweight gel with mild cleansing agents to lift away makeup and impurities without disturbing the skins natural moisture level. My skin never feels dry or tight when using this.
  • Extraction Toner: I used this a few times to test it out, but found it to be too drying, especially now that its fall and my skin is naturally drier. Its made from peppermint extract, menthol, witch hazel, and carrot extract to help balance oily, problem skin.
  • Stress Extraction Creme: This is by far my favorite of the skin care products from Enza. The creme feels luxurious, but light weight at the same time. Vitamins A,C, and E help protect the skin from any moisture loss and environmental damage. I apply this both day and night.
  • Pore Extraction Masque: I've used this a few times, but found it to be very drying to use as intended, 1-2 times weekly. I think for the fall and winter I'll be using it once or twice a month. In the summer my skin is naturally oilier and would benefit from more frequent use. It does work very well to draw out impurities using oat flour, rich in beta glucans to tone skin while purifying it with camphor and sulfur dispensed in a cleansing gel base to reduce the appearance of of large pores.

Body Care

  • Shea Butter Body Gel: Dead Sea salts, red marine algae and a peptide all help provide this body gel with a unique ability to revive and tone the skin. Shea butter also help soften the skin and protect it from environmental damage and moisture loss.
  • Shea Butter Body Polish: I use this once or twice weekly to help gently maintain a smooth and healthy skin texture. This is my favorite product from the body care. The creamy Shea butter feels so lovely and the Dead Sea salts (great purifiers) along with carica papaya fruit (a natural exfoliant) gently polish to revel beautiful smooth skin underneath.
  • Shea Butter Body Lotion: I really love the smell of this lotion and adore its creamy texture. It feels way more expensive than it is. I use this every other night after my shower. On the other nights I use Jergens Natural Glow moisturizer. This body lotion incorporates the finest ingredients to renew delicate skin. Shea butter along with a mix of botanicals and Hawaiian red marine algae repair skin damage and improve firmness and thickness. Japanese green tea extract prevents redness, rough skin, and peeling caused by the sun and harsh weather. Vitamin E helps defend skin from free radical damage.

Happy Friday! The weekend could not come soon enough for me. It's been a hectic week of getting back into the groove and catching up after our Finger Lakes trip last weekend. I'm also pretty excited to be dressing up for some different Halloween events with Ava. I cannot wait to see Ava in her little costume! Does anyone else have Halloween plans going on?

The top I'm wearing here looks so similar to chambray, and could certainly pass as that, but its actually made out of tencel, which I had not heard about until discovering Foxcroft. It's a sustainable fabric regenerated from wood and is therefore very environmentally friendly. Pretty cool, huh? The material is so soft and comes in three different shades. I'm wearing the medium blue in a 2P. It's such a versatile piece that's easy to style, especially for weekend looks or for a date night. The faux fur vest is a fabulous piece to layer with and right now its definitely needed with the cold and rainy weather we've been experiencing. It feels so luxe and gives the outfit a nice amount of texture. It also comes in a black shade. This vest would also look great paired over a plaid shirt or even a dress for some added warmth. I'm also kind of obsessed with these silver loafers. They're a nod to the menswear trend, but the fringe and metallic dealing give them a feminine feel. Talk about sprucing up your everyday work shoe!

Dusty Rose

On our last day in the Finger Lakes, we made sure to stop in Hammondsport to browse the main street shops and have a little picnic by the lake. This town was even voted the coolest small town in America in 2012! Pretty neat and I completely agree. You'll find bakeries, coffee shops, cafe's, restaurants, antique stores, art galleries, and a smattering of other stores carrying knick knacks and little goodies to keep your interests satisfied. There is one place to stay in town, the Keuka Lakeside Inn, which Justin and I stayed at before and fell even more in love with the town, and also some bigger places out on the main highway. The Inn is located right on Keuka lake. Bully Hill is also located right above the town, which I why we probably started staying there to begin with.

For our day in town I wanted to wear my favorite color in a fall appropriate hue. I've been drooling over all things dusty rose lately and cannot seem to get enough of it. This coat is beyond dreamy in a unstructured style made with a luxuriously soft wool-cashmere blend. It's one of the most beautifully elegant coats I've ever seen. To compliment the coat, I paired this pink buffalo plaid scarf with the creamy sweater for a soft weekend look. The scarf is oversized and seriously soft. You can wear it like I am or draped over your shoulders as a shawl. Need I say more about the pink too, haha?! I can imagine trading the jeans and riding boots for some trousers in either a matching dusty rose or gray along with heels for an office appropriate look. This coat can carry you from work, to weekend, to dinner dates without any hesitation.

Fall Colors In The Finger Lakes

Woolrich Peacoat || Green Sweater || Blue Blazer || AG Skinny Jeans || Tory Burch Riding Boots || Kate Spade Bag || Daniel Wellington Watch c/o || Quiz Rose Gold Earrings c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Jackie Kennedy Emerald Unity Band ||

One trip I would look forward to every fall was to the finger lakes. It's where Justin and I went on our "mini moon" and continued to go back almost every year. We both completely fell in love with the area, scenery and how relaxing it is. The weekend after our wedding we took a small trip there to celebrate since we wouldn't be taking our big honeymoon for a few more months. We were never into the wine hopping tour scene, but rather went to only a few select favorites. In recent years, that solely became Bully Hill vineyards. Our favorite wine there is called Ravat 51, a sweet tropical wine that tastes like pineapples. Each little town has a main street with charming stores, coffee shops, restaurants and breathtaking views. Whether its one of the lakes, waterfalls, or simply gazing upon the changing leaves, there is a beautiful scene everywhere you look. I even think it looks a bit like Scotland in some of the shots I took, especially since I've been watching Outlander, which takes place in Scotland haha. Great show.

I knew I would layering on this trip since the weather was supposed to be cool, cloudy, and with some rain. It even flurried for a bit! I was not prepared for it to be that cold. I do love layering though. So many different combinations and options! I simply adore this bright yellow peacoat and how gorgeously the color pops. The perfect color to compliment the fall leaves and it brightens up a gloomy day. The color combination is deliciously fall inspired. For reference, I'm wearing an xs in the coat and a 00 in the sweater and blazer.

Plaid and Pearls

Last week we had Indian Summer and it was amazing. Truly, after having a blast of cold weather and then being able to feel some warmth again is magical. Seeing it was going to be a beautiful day, I quickly pulled out my plaid dress and booties for a classic fall look. Plaid is an absolute must have for any closet, especially when its incredibly soft and ever so lovely in a dress. The braided belt also comes included with the dress. Since we're always out and on the go, I like to bring layering pieces with me for when warm autumn afternoons turn into cool autumn nights. This cable knit poncho feels like cuddling up in a warm blanket. Can we talk about how fab the fringe tassels are too?! It's a one size fits all that also comes in black.

My dad, Ava, and I all took a quick trip to the Finger Lakes this past weekend. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. It actually reminds me of Scotland. The Finger Lakes will always have a special place in my heart. I can't wait to get to those posts!

Halloween Vibes

Sammy Dress Halloween Sweater c/o || Sammy Dress Sequin Faux Leather Leggings c/o || Sammy Dress Heels c/o || Sammy Dress Bat Earrings c/o || Vince Camuto Bag || Daniel Wellington Watch c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Jackie Kennedy Emerald Unity Band ||

Happy Friday, friends! Can you believe Halloween is only ten days away?! October and fall are going by so quickly.  Sammy Dress is celebrating the holiday with some festive looks at amazing prices! There are so many cute pieces that I had a hard time choosing which Halloween items I would get. Haha, I have to say I love the cheeky saying on this sweater and the little bat earrings are spooktacular. I wanted a monochromatic look and went for all black. Nothing says a little bit of mystery like all black. I'm completely obsessed with these faux leather sequin leggins too. They're actually really comfy and of course, the sequins are just too fun! If I can add sparkle to any look, I will without a doubt do it. I got Ava dressed up in some of her Halloween gear too. She matched me with a monochromatic look and a cute cat in a witches hat on her top.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! We're supposed to get some rain and cooler temps. I do have some exciting things going on this weekend and I'll be sure to update you on Monday! Enjoy loves =)

Stripes // Joggers

This jogger and hoodie set is so extremely comfortable to wear. I love the subtle pinstripes and gray coloring which makes both pieces easy to mix and match with other items in my wardrobe. One of my favorite parts about the joggers, apart from feeling like cozy pjs, is the fitted cuff giving them an updated and urban feel. The hoodie has "do it with love" written on it, very cute and I could not agree more! I'm wearing an XS in both pieces for reference. Both pieces are from Avocado, a new lifestyle and fitness brand based out of California. Their goal is to inspire a healthy, active lifestyle while creating activewear of the highest quality and durability.

We've been having some gorgeous weather lately! Indian summer is definitely here and I've been loving every single second of it haha. Honestly, the warm weather feels so good once you've had some rather cold days. I'm really going to miss it once Fall comes back around.

Every season I stock up on some cozy sweaters, but a skirt that's a sweater? Now, that's a different story. There's something kind of magical about being able to wear a skirt when its cold and still be warm! This sweater set is super comfy and I love the pink color. It's somewhere between a blush and a rose. I picked this up in the store, but saw later online that the skirt does come in a petite size, which is what I would have gotten. I'm wearing a regular x-small and its a bit long on me. This should stop just a bit below the knee. #shortpersonproblems. How darling are Ava's little kitten shoes too?! I really wish they made them in adult sizes too haha.

Stripes and Overalls

I have been wanting to get a pair of overalls for some time now and finally chose this pair not too long ago. They're high quality and great for a quick outfit. I love pairing stripes under overalls or even a cream sweater would look fantastic. You can never go wrong with stripes though! They're always tres chic. To give a little bit of warmth I threw on this blanket scarf, which came in the fall edition of the FabFitFun box. Love it! The lace up heels add some glam to this casual look.

Happy Monday, friends! I hope everyone enjoyed their fall weekends. We had a fun filled family weekend jam packed with so many wonderful memories. The peak for our leaves in PA was this past weekend and you could definitely see some gorgeous colors in certain spots. I wanted to take full advantage of that so we took a family trip up to a pumpkin farm for Ava to pick out her Halloween pumpkin. I can't wait to decorate it with her. I'm thinking this year instead of making a jack-o-lantern, we might try a glittery one instead. We also took a leaf ride to look at all of the colors and get some pictures.

One of my favorite things about fall clothing is all of the different textures. A fun suede skirt paired with a chiffon blouse and a faux fur jacket instantly feels luxe. The faux fur jacket has a glamorous aura about it and reminds me of the golden age in Hollywood. I adore the softness and how warm it actually is. Not all of my fall/winter jackets keep me warm ironically. Pairing over the knee boots is another great way to wear skirts or dresses once the weather cools and still stay warm. The pair I have on are good for gals with thinner calves. I've always had trouble with boots staying up. They would fall down only after taking a few steps. Talk about frustrating! This pair stayes up pretty well.

Glossy Box

GlossyBox c/o || LC Lauren Conrad Cold Shoulder Sweater (Sold Out) Similar Here || Paige Skinny Jeans || Christian Paul Watch c/o || Jackie Kennedy Emerald Unity Band || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band ||

Happy Friday, friends! One thing I don't usually talk too much about is beauty. I dabble in it here and there, but I wouldn't say I'm an expert at it. I am a complete beauty junkie though! I love trying out new products or trying to find the perfect shade of lipstick. I can't even tell you how many lipsticks I own or how many you may find in my bag at one moment. I was so intrigued when I heard about Glossybox, the leader in luxury beauty boxes in the U.S. Once a month, you get a beautifully designed box filled with at least 5 deluxe sized beauty products. I mean seriously, the box is so pretty! I took a picture of the inside of the lid of box because I was so impressed. The products in this box were inspired by what insiders use for last minute touch ups at Fashion Week. The theme of the box design was a secret garden inspired by the floral print trends of past and present fashion collections.

The theme could not have been more spot on with the Fashion Weeks going on in September. The box is gorgeous and I'm keeping it to store some pretty goodies in. My inner girly girl was grinning from ear to ear when I opened the box and saw the products inside which included:

  • Sally Hershberger 24K Supreme Stylist Dry Shampoo (Great for giving texture and volume)
  • Sesderma Sensyeses Cleanser & C-VitMoisturizing Serum (Haven't used yet, but excited to)
  • Korres Modern Greek Apothecary Twist Lipstuck (My color was charm. Beautiful!!)
  • Modellauncher Brow Duo Pencil (I have thick brows and this is fabulous for filling them in. Comes with a little brush too!)
  • Vince Camuto Capri Eau De Parfum (Yummiest smelling parfum. Cannot stop smelling it! )

There are four different monthly billing plans you can subscribe to. You can find the information on that here. I have to say I'm officially a Glossie now! Who doesn't love getting some beauty goodies sent to their doorstep every month?!
