Namaste Yoga + Moms Bundle

Namaste TV c/o || Good Vibes Yogab Mat FabFitFun c/o ||

Let me start off by saying I am not a yoga expert haha. When I was looking through the photos I took while doing some of the poses, I could clearly see where my form needs work. I did have two yoga classes back in college and truly enjoyed them. It was an hour out of my busy life to relax and recharge my batteries. Before then, I had never done one stitch of yoga, but soon became hooked once I started my class. I continued to do some of the poses and breathing techniques, but found it was not the same as having an instructor in front of me to guide along in the process. I'm much more of a visual person and need to see something being done in order to learn it.

I think it goes without saying that most, if not all, moms have stress in their lives. Yoga can be a great stress reliever and even allow for mental clarity. Namaste TV offers premium yoga videos that are available through digital download or dvd. I was able to download their Moms Bundle and also received The Beginner Bundle dvd set. I was amazed at the beautiful scenery each set has and the calming music helped get me in the yoga zone. The poses are easy enough to follow along with. Sometimes I'll pause the video to make sure I'm doing the post correctly. Once you get used to the flow and how each pose transforms into another, it goes get easier to remember what comes next.

I do love the added flexibility my muscles have and am looking forward to toning some of my muscles up as well. Ever since Ava was born, my muscle tone is not what it used to be, but yoga can certainly bring that back! My favorite from the Mom Bundle is the Bhakti Flow: Open Your Upper Back and Shoulders. I've always had bad back and shoulder pain from tight muscles, but this seems to help release some of the tension. Each video is about 24 minutes long making each sequence easy to fit into a busy schedule. I usually do mine when Ava is taking her afternoon nap.

Pink + Colorful Tassels at Knoebels

Pink Tassel Dress c/o || Gold Loafers || Similar Straw Tote || Karen Walker Sunnies || Daniel Wellington Watch c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Lip Color ||

This past weekend I took Ava down to Knoebels Amusement park for her friends 2nd birthday party. We had such a fun time riding the train through the woods, interacting with the little ones, and gazing upon all of the excitement and bright lights. I cannot wait until Ava is a bit older and can ride some more of the park rides. Knoebels is one of my most favorite places and Justin and I would talk all the time about taking Ava for her first visit. It's an old time family park set in the woods with no admission fee. I have such fond memories of going with my family and friends and more recently with Justin. We would go at least 3 to 4 times every summer.

For a day at the park, I wanted to wear something comfortable and bright with a twist of summer time fun. The bright pink color really pops and the colorful tassels are huge this season. I love how cute they are! The back of the dress is really the showstopper lined up and down with the tassels. I'm wearing an xs and still have plenty of wiggle room with the shift style. This dress is also under $14! I also switched out my leather Daniel Wellington band for the NATO South Hampton band. You cannot go wrong with pink, blue, and white stripes! It's has a girly nautical vibe to it.

It's no secret I love wearing dresses, especially easy breezy romantic ones! I love the effortless vibe during the summer months. This dotted high low dress is soooo comfy with a stretchy waist and off the shoulder style. The dress flows beautifully (see how the wind catches it above) and for under $22, it's a complete steal!  I'm wearing an XS for reference. The dotted print is just darling. I also love how elegant this feels, yet it has a more relaxed structure to it.

Classically Feminine with Daniel Wellington

Daniel Wellington Watch c/o || Similar Pink Chiffon Top || Similar Chiffon Shorts || Karen Walker Sunnies || Humble Chic Tote Bag c/o || Similar Studded Heels || Lip Color || Otterbox Case c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band ||

Happy Monday, friends! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and had a happy father's day if you celebrated. Ava and I took my dad out to breakfast, which is his absolute favorite meal of the day. We ran some errands together, went to the grave sites, had a lovely bbq with family friends, and then my brother and his fiance came over for dinner. It was a jam packed day with so many good memories. Ava also had a big Saturday with her first trip to an amusement park! It was her friend's 2nd birthday party at Knoebel's and we had an amazing time. She got to ride the train with me, which was a highlight since that's one of my favorite rides. It takes you through the woods and you get to see all of the beautiful scenery while having the summer breeze blow through your hair. She has the biggest smile on her face!

My favorite style to wear is anything classically feminine. I feel the most comfortable and "me" when I wear pieces that have romance intertwined and woven throughout the outfit. Soft beautiful colors and dreamy fabrics like chiffon, silk, and tulle make my heart pitter patter. When carefully choosing which pieces i'm going to wear for the day, I also want to make sure my accessories match and have an elegant feel to them. I've recently been wearing watches every single day. I used to wear them when I was younger, but stopped a few years ago. Now, you won't find me without one! Watches are a timeless piece of jewelry that both men and woman can wear, which are not only practical, but stylish too. Daniel Wellington watches have a thin clean design that are suitable for any occasion. The watch has either a leather strap or a NATO one, both easily interchangeable. I'm wearing the classic St. Mawes leather strap, but also have the South Hampton NATO strap. I'm completely head over heels for the rose gold face too! ~Swoon~ Each watch can use the interchangeable straps making every one of them unique.

Sporty Chic

Similar Striped Dress || Keds || Marbled Sunnies || Humble Chic Earrings c/o || Lip Color || Humble Chic Tote c/o || Sun Hat || Rumba Time Watch c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Ring || Otterbox Case c/o ||

Happy Friday, everyone! I wore this look out for a fun afternoon of mini golf with my brother and his fiance the other day. I'm not one to wear sporty looks too often, but love how different it looks and especially how comfy I felt all day. You can never go wrong with classic stripes, which have a preppy polished feel to them.  I have to laugh because I never wear sneakers, ever!, but I've been wanting to get a pair recently that look chic and can be worn with a variety of outfits. You could wear these with t-shirts or dresses and they still look great. I've had my eye on these marbled sunnies for some time now and finally pulled the trigger to get them. They're so unique and definitely stand out from the crowd!

Wishing everyone a fabulous weekend! What are some of your plans?? Happy Father's Day too!

Hair Styles with Aveda

Outfit 1: Green Striped Shirt || Old Polka Dot Shorts || Keds || Earrings || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Rumba Time Watch c/o ||

Outfit 2 || Gingham Top || Gingham Shorts || Daniel Wellington Watch c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Chloe and Isabel Earrings ||

Happy Thursday, friends! I've always been a sucker for trying new beauty products to find the perfect match for me. Finding a company that has quality ingredients, lasting results, and cares about our environment are important factors in my choosing. Aveda hair care products have all of these are more. I've always wanted to try them and am so glad that I finally have. I used each product to create two hair styles that are pretty fabulous for second day hair or when the weather is super hot. The first style is a crown braid that I created and then switched into my ballerina outfit for my brother's birthday celebration. The second is a fish tail braid that is a fun alternative to your everyday braid.

For the first look I started with the Shampure Dry Shampoo, which is actually a powder!, on my roots to soak up any oils and impurities. I love how it instantly revived my hair and smells soooooo good! It has a calming aroma with 25 pure flower and plant essences. Next, separate hair on either side and create a three strand braid on each side. Take one of the braids and wrap it around to the front of the head, securing with a pin at the ear on the opposite side. Repeat with the other braid wrapping it around the head just behind the first braid. To finish the look, I used the Control Force Hair Spray to create an all day firm hold and 24 hour humidity defense. This hair spray also has a net-zero climate impact, UV filters and anti-oxidents, is fast drying and non-flaking, and has certified organic essential oils of Bulgarian lavender, bergamont, palmarosa, and vetiver-calming aroma.

For the second look I started with the thickening tonic to expand my strands from roots to ends. Its 97% naturally driven and powered by botanicals with a refreshing herbal aroma with certified organic vanilla, bergamont, clay sage, and other pure plant and flower essences. Next, I applied the Style Prep Smoother to protect against surface damage, defend against humidity for 12 hours and to create a smooth surface on my hair. Like all of the other products, this smelled amazing! The citrus floral blend is simply yummy.  Next, I divided my hair into two sections at the back of my head. Grab a section of hair from the outside , cross it over and combine with the other side. Now with the opposite side, grab a small amount of hair from the outside, cross it over and combine with hair on the opposite side. Repeat until you reach the end of the section. I finished the look with the Control Force Hair Spray.

Ballerina in the City

One word that comes to mind when I think of this look is romance. The dreamy pink tulle skirt matched with the softer makeup and braided hair crown all come together beautifully in this re-imagining of a ballerina. I have a certain weakness when it comes to tulle and this skirt is no exception! It's a one size fits all with a little tie at the waist to help with the fit and a price point of under $18. The length was perfect for me and I love how the skirt moved if a slight breeze hit or when I was walking. I'm not sure if anyone here has ever worn a unitard piece, but they are amazing! I love wearing them with skirts since there is no extra bunching of fabric when you tuck your shirt in. This one I'm wearing is an old Modcloth buy from a few years ago, but similar ones like this are available now. The seamless smooth fit is worth it. I'll go into more depth with tomorrow's post about the hairstyle, but I'll quickly touch base with it here since this was the finished product. I used this dry shampoo, which is actually a powder and smells sooooo good, and this hairspray to create the braided crown. It was easier than I thought and I was happy with how it turned out. It's something I'll have to perfect, but for a first try, not too bad haha!

Mint Swim Suit

Mikarose Swim Suit c/o || Flats || Similar Tote (Here), (Here), and (Here) || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Lip Color || Jewelry Be Mine Earrings c/o ||

Truth be told, the one item I desperately needed in my wardrobe was a new bathing suit. I usually always opt for a nautical themed one, but wanted to go girly with beautiful colors this time. As soon as I saw this mint water color print, I was hooked! The colors are so vibrant in person with the mint background being the perfect backdrop for the delicate pink flowers to lay upon. A perfect color combo! I'm wearing a size xs for reference. I cannot wait to have some fun in the sun while wearing this, especially on our family vacations.

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Also, my thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and family members of the victims from Sunday's horrific events. I only learned of the tragedy late Sunday night and could not believe what had happened. I can only hope that one day, everyone can be accepted for who they are.

Candy Stripes

Pink Striped Shirt c/o || Pink Striped Skirt || Sandals (Similar HERE) || Kate Spade Clutch (Similar HERE) || Jewelry Be Mine Earrings c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Wood Watch c/o || Lip Color ||

Combine two of my favorite things, pink and stripes, and you have one phenomenally fun outfit. This flared midi skirt will have you being the belle of the ball. It's so eye catching with its pink and ivory stripes and pretty pleats. I ordered a size small, but could have gone with an XS. The small was slightly too big. I got so many compliments on this skirt while Ava and I were out grocery shopping. It literally is a knockout piece! For under $43, it's one of those items that will have you smiling each and every time you put it on. I knew when I ordered the skirt that I wanted to pair it with matching pink stripes. Some people shy away from matchy-matchy looks, but to me I've always thought they were very chic. Polished and well put together never go out of style.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I'll be celebrating my brother's birthday and photographing a spa, which both should be a lot of fun!

This is one of those great dresses that can be worn to just about any occasion. From workday to weekend wear, this eyelet beauty has you covered! I love the eyelet detail, which is an essential item to have for summer. It's hard not to feel easy breezy while adoring this look. When I can picture myself wearing an item to multiple locations, be it the beach, afternoon brunch, church, sunset strolls, or even running errands, then I know I have a winner. How chic and adorable is this Kate Spade bag too?! I was swooning over the polka dots, top handle, and name of it. The name is "Kennedy Street," which meant she had me at hello haha. Being a big Kennedy fan, I took it as a good sign this bag was meant to be.

"You mustn't be afraid to sparkle a little brighter, darling." -Kristen Kuehn. How true that is! I never shy away from a bit of little sequins, or a lot haha! This little black dress from Humble Chic is so comfortable on with a nice amount of stretch and has a light lining underneath for a smooth beautiful fit. It's a fantastic dress to grab and throw on quickly for a night out on the town. I love how the dress skims the body and hugs it in all the right places. The silhouette is so flattering without being too revealing. It's currently on sale too for under $50! I wanted to keep the look simple, but with some extra jazz added in. A black dress and heels with a snappy gold bag. They key to adding in that jazz? All of the sequins! Obviously, this is strictly a nighttime look. If I were going to wear it for the day, I would only have one sequin accessory, two tops if they were smaller like jewelry.

Floral Print Dress

Floral Print Dress c/o || Rebecca Minkoff Bag || Freyrs Sunnies c/p || White Sandals c/o || Pink Statement Earrings c/o || Lip Color || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band ||

Today's post is all about a simple outfit that packs a big punch! I always lean towards white dresses in spring and summer and absolutely fell in love when I saw this one online. The subtle jacquard detailing with a floral garden motif along the bottom of the skirt makes this dress feel like a million bucks. For under $21, the quality is quite good and the fit is perfect. It literally felt as if it had been tailored to fit me! I always love when that happens. The fit of an item is key to feeling confident when you are wearing it. How cute is the little butterfly in the print too!? Simple little details like that make my heart flutter.

I hope everyone had a good weekend! Mine was filled with doing photo shoots and editing photos for clients. Of course, with the warm weather also comes ice cream haha. My dad, Ava, and I will go for ice cream rides where we get some yummy treats and then take a ride around the lake and talk about what's been going on in our lives. It's a nice way to catch up and end the day.

Sapphire 8 in 1 Complete Curler

Sapphire 8 in 1 complete curler c/o || Off The Shoulder Top || White Shorts || Vantjag Earrings c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band ||

Happy Friday, all! Today I'm sharing a a fabulous curling wand set that has eight different interchangeable barrels to achieve almost any desired look. The first photo above shows how my hair looks after air drying all night. My hair is naturally wavy and I use a leave in conditioner along with an oil to provide shine and tame any frizziness. As you can see, after I brush my hair, I lose the natural wave and it turns into a bit of a crimpy looking mess. Not to worry though! This curling wand literally takes only seconds to heat up, which pleasantly surprised me. Once heated, you only need to curl the hair for 5-10 seconds depending on the thickness of the hair. I've always considered my hair to be thick and I was able to get away with 5 seconds. I love the polished look curls have, especially having eight different styles to choose from! I adore my natural wave and how it allows me to get away with not styling my hair, but you cannot beat the elegance of a head of curls. The different styles range from tight, ringlet, spiral, ribbon, flick, large and bouncy, beachy or wavy, and a finger wave type. I'm using the 25mm barrel. For under $200, you cannot beat the 8 for 1 deal!

Humble Chic Pink Scalloped Dress c/o || Headbands of Hope Crystal Band c/o || Freyrs Pink Sunnies c/o || Humble Chic Pearl Jacket Earrings c/o || Humble Chic Pink French Scarf c/o || Ralph Lauren Bag || Pink Heels || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Lip Color ||

Without a doubt, my favorite color would have to be pink (as if you haven't noticed!) I love its bright and cheery nature while being fun and feminine at the same time. It's an instant mood booster! It's no surprise then how much I adore this ensemble of pretty pinks all working flawlessly together. The dress features the most darling detail with a chic scalloped hemline that I'm completely head over heels about! It's a shift dress making it super comfortable to wear, especially in the hazy lazy days of summer.  One of my favorite ways to wear a scarf is actually around the bag handle I'm carrying. Sometimes in the cooler months I'll wear one around my neck, but when spring and summer hit I immediately start tying them to my bags. It's a great way to add some color in or simply "just because." The scarf I'm using here has equestrian chain-print motif on it with beautiful bright colors and the silkiest feel.

The leaf diamond trim headband I'm wearing not only is a stunning piece, but also has a good cause behind it. Headbands of Hope provides one headband to a child with cancer for each item sold. Since their creation in April 2012, they have donated headbands to every children's hospital in the U.S. They believe that fashion can be the greatest vehicle to a positive self identity. I could not agree more. This is a wonderful cause to support. On their site is a Giving Gallery of the children who have received headbands and the smiles on their faces is heartwarming. This is a cause I would be more than happy to promote time and time again. I cannot imagine the pain of finding out your child has cancer and knowing the battle that lies ahead. Providing them with a beautiful headband can be a ray shining light in their lives while fighting this horrible disease. Please take a look at their website and consider getting behind this cause too!

Happy Wednesday, friends! One of my favorite inspirational styles to wear is nautical themes. Year round, but especially in the summer, I gravitate towards anchors, sail boats, and red, white, and blue color schemes. Without a doubt, you can almost always find me in something similar to this on the weekends when I want to feel relaxed, yet put together and polished. The outfit has a very Kennedy-esque look and feel to it. Totally Cape Cod chic! This classic navy blue polo is one that you'll be grabbing for every time! It is a fitted style, but not too tight with the slightest amount of stretch to it. The fabric is also lightweight making it a great layering piece. I paired mine here with a fitted blazer and white shorts, but you could also wear this polo with a chic pencil skirt or even a fun full circle skirt and some heels. Let's not forget the cute little heart necklace too! I love how dainty it is and of course the rose gold color. It's perfect for everyday wear or to give as a gift to someone special in your life.

Pink Chiffon Skirt

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends and if you are in the U.S., then I hope you enjoyed the unofficial start to summer with Memorial Day! We had a nice cookout with my brother and his fiance and even had some birthday cake to celebrate my birthday, which was this past Sunday. That was very thoughtful of them! We got little Ava all dressed up in a dress with little stars on the skirt. She was a little cutie pie <3

This pink chiffon skirt is the definition of dreamy. The fabric is lightweight and swishes beautifully when walking or if a subtle breeze passes by. It is a maxi style and i'm happy to say it did not drag on the ground! That's a huge plus for us shorter gals. I'm also wearing a size small, which fit perfectly. The best part is that its under $18. I felt absolutely beautiful wearing it. To me, that's quite a testament to an item when you can put it on and instantly feel transformed to your best self. This crop top is beyond cute! I love the bright pattern and how its a bit longer than most crop tops. One of my favorite way to wear a crop top is with a higher waisted skirt. It's a trend that is here to stay and a modest way to wear it. The threader earrings are subtle but have an major impact with their sleek and modern design. They shine beautifully in the light and can be worn three different ways.

Happy Friday and Memorial Day weekend! This weekend is all about spending time with family and friends while partaking in cookouts, fun in the sun, bon fires, smores, laughter, and good times. I cannot wait for the unofficial start of summer to get here! After a long winter, I always gladly welcome the first summer holiday with wide open arms. The weather is supposed to feel just like summer too with temps in the upper 80s and high humidity, though I could do without the extreme high humidity. It's been a bit sticky feeling these past few days.

To beat the heat, I opted for a chiffon tank that is one of my closet staples in the summer. You can never go wrong with endless amounts of ways to style it. I obviously went patriotic with a red, white, and blue theme in honor of the weekend festivities. Even Ava wanted to join in with the theme. I actually wish her dress came in an adult size because I would totally wear it! The tutu and glitter anchor print absolutely capture my heart. How adorable is the Endless Summer tote bag too?! That specific print is sold out, but I found similar ones from the same company listed above and below. If only summer were endless. The triple pearl ear jacket earrings I have on here have an understated modern elegance to them. Pearls never go out of style and this silhouette keeps them looking new and fresh. The top pearl is detachable so you can wear them as a classic stud too! You know I love two for one deals!

I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend!

Georgetown

Black Chiffon Top || Gingham Pants || Kate Spade Straw Bag || Jean Jacket || Karen Walker Sunnies via Shop Ditto, sold out (Similar Here) || Silver Strap Heels || Starburst Earrings || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Rumba Time Watch c/o ||

If there was one word to describe Georgetown, it would have to be charming. It's one of my favorite spots to visit while I'm in D.C. This was the last destination for my dad and I while we were in D.C. I wanted him to see one of JFK's homes while he was living there before becoming president elect, the shops and restaurants, and all of the lovely homes. This post is special because I got to take some of my photos at JFK's old home (its the tall brick one I'm standing by with the green door.) For our outing, I wore these chic gingham pants that fit perfectly. I usually have trouble with pants since I'm petite. I found out that Old Navy has a petite section (online only) and decided to give it a try. Success! I got a 0 petite and could not be happier with them. So for all you of shorter gals out there definitely give their petite section a try! These silver heels are so dreamy! I feel in love as soon as I saw them. The chunky heels makes them a breeze to walk in and the pointy toe keeps them sophisticated and polished. I knew going to Georgetown in them would be a great test since some of the sidewalks are brick lined and I had no trouble in these.

Some More Images From The Day:

So as I mentioned before, this brick home belonged to JFK and Jackie right before he became President. It's the most famous of all the homes he owned while living in Georgetown. There's some various pretty photos around town. My dad and I made sure to eat at Martin's Tavern where it's said that JFK proposed to Jackie in what they now have marked as "The Proposal Booth." It's usually reserved by couple looking to make that big step! While we were sitting there, a couple actually did become engaged. We were sitting right next to the booth too and watched the whole thing happen. The restaurant erupted in cheers and clapping. It was so exciting! I also have a photo of my dad sitting in the "rumble booth" where JFK would sit every Sunday to have his breakfast while reading the paper. After hitting JFK's home and Martin's Tavern, we walked around town and stopped in some shops, ultimately making our way to a bookstore where we found some goodies. We got some coffee's and continued to stroll around the town and take in all of the sights. Before we headed over to Georgetown, we took a walk down to the White House. I've been fascinated by Presidential history my whole life and always make sure to stop down while I'm in town.

Style London

Stripes seem to be a print that dominate my wardrobe. They have that cool preppy chic feel about them and they always pop. I can't help but to be drawn to them! This dress from Style London is a mixed media with stripes on top and swirl of blue and red on the bottom. The skirt actually reminds me of the sky right after the sun has set when the colors are rich and saturated. I love how this dress stands out from the crowd. For whatever reason their website seems to be down, but here's a link to their Facebook. I'm wearing a size small, but found it to be slightly big on me.

Floral Lace in the City

Floral Lace Dress || Kate Spade Bag || Karen Walker Sunnies via Shop Ditto (Similar Here) || Boater Hat || Gold Loafers || Rumba Time Watch || Starburst Earrings || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band ||

Two things I make sure to bring with me on trips are dresses and a good pair of flats. Dresses are the simply chic outfit all in one, while a pair of dressier flats will keep you looking polished and your feet happy while exploring. I knew that my dad and I would be doing tons and tons of walking while in D.C. (that's the fun part!) so I packed these slip on gold pointed loafers. The classic mens wear inspired shoe never fails and kept me going all day long without any discomfort. I always prefer a pointed toe to keep the look modern. The purple and pink floral print with the lace detailing could not be any more lovely. It's the perfect dress for Sunday brunch, a day of sightseeing, or a fun date night filled with walks in the park, ice cream, and a movie. I'm wearing a size small for reference.

For the beginning of this day in D.C., my dad and I did a tour of the Capitol building and went to Union Station to meet some friends of mine. We then all had lunch al fresco at a new restaurant called Romero and Juliet. It's right near Union Station and I highly recommend it if you're in the neighborhood. Next, we all trekked down to the Library of Congress. I kept joking that I was waiting for Nick Cage to pop out at any time! Both the Capitol and Library are magnificent buildings. I was blown away by the grandeur and architecture between the two. Simply breathtaking. Below are some indoor photos from each.
