Enchanting Elegance Interview

Happy Monday, friends! I hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween weekend. We had a blast dressing Ava up as Batman, or Batgirl in her case, while Justin was the Riddler and I was Catwoman. We also carved her first pumpkin into a cute smiling jack-o-lantern.

Today I'm sharing a podcast interview I did with Dina Marie Joy about fashion blogging, branding, and a little bit of my personal life. I had such a great time talking with her and discussing all the details and work that go into creating a blog post. The interview was done in early October and just posted this past weekend. We wanted it to have a laid back vibe as if it were two girlfriends talking to one another. You can listen to the podcast here on her website. Also, the podcast is available to listen on iTunes and Stictcher under Dina Marie Joy. Just subscribe and listen!

Happy Friday!! One of my most favorite fabrics to wear is tulle. The very nature of it is overly feminine and delicate making it even more lovely. I always gravitate toward anything with tulle and always feel more beautiful with it on. This floral embroidered tulle skirt from Policy of Style is striking with its black and white pattern. It instantly draws the eye in and makes the outfit pop. Pairing it with pink, blush, and yellow tones continues the feminine theme for the outfit.

Policy of Style is a new online boutique created by a husband and wife team. Some of you may know Alyssa from her blog she's Alyssa Rene (check it out, she's amazing!) where you can also see how she styled this skirt here. I love being able to see people making their goals and dream become a reality. Policy of Style is all about expressing yourself through the voice of your own personal style. I'm also loving this dress for layering under a cozy vest this fall. Check them out!

I wore this layered look while out getting Ava bugs first pumpkin in the breezy cool weather. It was a quick trip for sure with all of us being chilled. I did not even have my camera with me so we had to take our photos on the iPhone. Later on in the day, and with much less wind, I took the photos above with a different scarf on. I absolutely adore wearing layers since it adds interest and dimension to an outfit. I recently picked up this Pendleton quilted vest while down at Peddler's Village and absolutely love it. It's lightweight enough to wear under a jacket like I am here, but also gives just the right amount of warmth for when the breeze is picking up a notch. I hope everyone is staying warm!

Happy Tuesday, friends! As you may know, I am a bit obsessed with bows. Any time I see one, I instantly start to swoon a bit and dream of all things girly. This beautiful red satin dress is no exception to that rule! Does anyone else start planning for the holiday season around now? I am already starting to think about it and what I want to wear to certain events. This darling dress is not only great for dinner and drinks, but also fantastic for a holiday party! I plan on wearing this to Justin's work Christmas party. I always love to pair gold accessories with my holiday outfits too, or any outfit for that matter.
Make sure to stop by Ever Pretty to see some more gorgeous gowns, casual, and day time dresses.

Happy Monday everyone! If I've said it once, I'll say it one million times, plaid is the basic essential for fall. It's a pattern I simply cannot get enough of! Today I'm wearing this plaid knit cardigan from Shein and it's under $30! I love how you can simply throw it on and have an instant outfit. For look number one I wanted to go a bit more casual, but still have a put together look. The second look incorporates a dressier feel with a bright red dress and some studded heels. The cardigan actually reminds me of a blanket scarf, which makes me love it that much more! The sizing is a one size fits all and I had no trouble with wearing it.

Happy Friday lovelies! I think everyone can agree that a plaid shirt is essential for your fall wardrobe. Am I right?! I love how this one mixes in the chambray detail making it unique and classic. You could wear it casual like I did with jeans and booties or with a circle skirt for a little extra glam look. This was the perfect casual comfy outfit for the second day of our trip in the Finger Lakes. I wanted something easy, casual, and classic. We were also traveling back home so I needed my outfit to be comfy. As I mentioned before here, Justin and I love to drive around and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We always stop at Gimme Coffee in Trumansburg to fuel up. I've always adored their latte's in particular. We stopped off at the Allan H Treman State Marine Park for our picnic before we left. It was an amazingly gorgeous day to sit and gaze out at the harbor with the pretty sail boats passing by. Definitely a spot I would recommend if you ever have the chance.

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

One of our favorite places to visit is the Finger Lakes in New York. Justin and I had our "mini moon" there right after our wedding in 2011. Our big honeymoon was Disney the following year. What we personally love is to drive around while sipping on our coffee or tea and enjoy the beautiful scenery all around us. Bully Hill near Keuka Lake is our favorite winery hands down. It carries the Ravat 51, pictured above, which has a very sweet pineapple taste. If you can, definitely try this out! The other detail photos of the apples, corn, and flowers were also taken around the Bully Hill winery. They have amazing landscaping. The photo of Justin, Ava and I was taken down by Keuka Lake on the little park where we had a picnic. We'll bring our own food and a portable grill to have picnics next to the lakes whenever we get hungry. It's a fantastic way to enjoy being outside. This year was a quick over night trip with the first day simply being to drive around, stop at Bully Hill, and have picnics along the lakes. It's so relaxing since there is hardly any traffic on the back roads and you can drive for miles and miles at your own pace.

I knew our first day there was going to be on the cooler side so I pulled out this striped sweater, which is light weight and super soft, to layer under the cape. I wanted something relaxed and easy for the drive and any walking or picnicking we would be doing. The cape added just the right amount of warmth for a fall day without over heating. I never had to take it off and I love how versatile it is! Riding boots are essential for me when it comes to fall and winter styles. I practically live in them. This LC pair has gotten so much use and has a fantastic quality for being under $70.

Has anyone ever been to the Finger Lakes? If you are traveling there and have any questions please let me know! Stay tuned for our second day there.

Do not let the title of this post fool you, it is not quite winter yet, although this weekend sure did feel like it in NEPA. Wow, did it get cold out with temperatures dipping down into the low 30s. There were even flurries in the air on Sunday. That it way too soon for my liking! Anyway, the monochromatic colors for this outfit are crisp and clean in winter white. I love this white color in particular for the cooler months since it has a creamier appearance. The colorful necklace from Micha Store also really pops against a neutral background. A simple and elegant piece with beautiful colors of pinks, blues, greens, and clear stones. There is nothing like finding a piece of jewelry that you know will match so many different items in your wardrobe and with a price point under $15, you cannot go wrong!

Definitely take a look at the gorgeous pieces Micha Store has to offer (at amazing prices!) and use the code "Amanda10" at checkout to receive 10% off of your entire order! Happy shopping lovelies <3

Happy Friday! The weather has become very crisp and cool in my area, perfect for wearing cozy scarves! Some days you can still get away with not wearing a jacket or cardi, but a scarf is an absolute must then. This hand made marbled infinity scarf from Shop Fox Wool was essential with the cool fall air and so pretty with its mix of grays and creamy whites. I've been a bit obsessed with gray this season and could not pass this little cutie up. It's chunky material keeps you warm and is a steal at only $35. There's something about pretty neutrals that just get me like this cream poncho with a hint of shimmer in it. I have to say this was such a cozy outfit to wear too. I could have snuggled up in it all night! There's so many ways to layer a poncho from striped turtlenecks, white long sleeve tees, or button downs like I did. I wanted a bit of a more dressed up look with mine.

I also want to talk about these beautiful wire wrapped bracelets from Champagne and Lace. They allow you to custom build your own set of bangles at an affordable price with amazing quality. I fell in love as soon as I got my custom stack in the mail. Each bracelet is handmade with tarnish resistant wire. They have so many different options from pineapples to pearls, druzy stones, monograms, rock candy, charms and more. I wanted my personal stack to be soft, feminine, and neutral to match different items in my closet. There is a sizing guide on the website as well for the perfect fit. I'm wearing a size 7. Finally, a bangle that will fit my tiny wrists! Use the code "enchanting15" at checkout for 15% off of your $20 or more purchase.

Hello friends and happy Monday! A very Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends as well. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and long weekend for some of us. Justin and I took Ava up to the finger lakes in New York for a little get away to celebrate our anniversary and had the most amazing time. The weather was simply gorgeous.

Above is the last look I wore while on vacation in Rehoboth Beach. The light layers were perfect for feeling comfy with the ocean breeze. I'll always be in love with soft pastel colors as well, no matter what season it is. This combination has me feeling feminine and oh so lovely. I wore this while my dad and I took Ava for her morning walk around town and eventually down to the board walk for Ava to have her first look at the beach. Quite a special day!

Leah and Pearl Dress c/o || Jean Jacket literally getting so much use out of this! || Red Heels || Top Handle Bag || Similar Watch || Similar Sunnies ||

Happy Friday all! If there's one pattern I cannot get enough of, it's stripes. The clean preppy feeling is a classic and pairs well with many different looks. This dress from Leah and Pearl does not disappoint either. It has a nice thick material for the fall and winter and would be great to wear on its own or layered with a jacket, vest, or even under a sweater with a belt. I wore this while window shopping in Rehoboth and felt so comfortable with the temperature in the mid to high 60s with a slight breeze. It could not have been more perfect. I dressed the look up with red heels, but you could also wear some flats to keep it more casual or with some booties for a cute fall outfit. I hope everyone has a great weekend! Justin, Ava, and I are all taking a little trip to enjoy the changing leaves.

Today I'm bring you one of my favorite looks for fall. Nothing beats a cozy chic outfit that I can snuggle up in and enjoy the cool weather. I always love wearing a plaid shirt with some jeans and booties for a casual everyday look. Speaking of, how gorgeous are these fringe ones?!? They're super comfy to walk around in all day. A coat is an essential item in any girls closet for fall and winter, especially if you live in the North Eastern part of the country! It can get pretty darn chilly outside! I'm loving this one for its perfect fit and bold black and white print.

Have you ever order clothing online and wondered if the item would fit right once it arrived at you home or if it would live up to how it looks online? Well a company called Lyon and Post hopes to simplify the online shopping experience by letting you see, feel, and try on the clothes before you actually spend any money on them. How amazing is that?! I love the idea of being able to have the fitting room in my own home and see how the piece of clothing will look with my own accessories. Once you make an account with Lyon and Post, you put four items into a que, have them shipped to your home, try them on, and either keep or send back the items. They carry all name brand items too. It's a fabulous idea and shipping is free both ways. You know how I love my free shipping!

A wonderful Tuesday to everyone! One pattern that always stays in style for fall would have to be plaid. I can never get enough of it! This dress is an autumn staple and even had a slight 70s vibe to it, which is having a moment right now. My favorite way to accessorize an outfit is with leopard. I use it all the time that it really has become a neutral for me. I last wore this collegiate cardi here and love how well it pairs up with the plaid. It was windy in Rehoboth when I shot these photos so the extra layer felt quite nice! This was actually the first day of our vacation which meant lots of exploring to see if anything had changed in town since we had been there last year. Also, with it being so windy, my hair immediately went up into a quick bun to keep it from flying all over the place. There are definitely some family photos where you can see my hair whipping around or you see me trying to keep it held in place. Such is life haha. Hope everyone has a great day!

Each one is great for fall from elegant day to night dresses to cozy tunics and easy layering tanks. All of these outfits can be worn during your pregnancy or afterwards (4th trimester) for when you are nursing your little one. I know as a mother now, finding clothes that are chic and easy to nurse little Ava in is not an easy task. You may remember me talking about Bumpstyle Box here and here for my second and third trimesters respectively. I love how they have a personal stylist ready to help pick out the perfect pieces for your maternity lifestyle and have it delivered to your home in record time. What's better than having a stylist and never having to leave the comfort of your couch?!? Their customer service is top notch too. All you need to provide is some basic information about your personal style and size preferences. Another great incentive, shipping to and from your house is prepaid by Bumpstlye. I don't know about you, but I'm a girl that loves to get free shipping! I'll hunt down as many coupon sites as I can to find it haha. Happy Friday all! I wore this damask print dress out on the town during one of the beautiful days we had in Rehoboth Beach. I love the bold black and white print with a pop of red and some cute bow pumps. I actually bought this dress right before I found out I was pregnant. Then I got incredibly sick and never had a chance to wear it until now. The dress is perfect for a night out or can be dressed down for day with a cardi and flats. Anyway, we eventually walked down to Silver Lake during the sunset. It's one of my favorite walks while in town; the other being a walk to Gerar Lake. It's so peaceful and charming with the pretty houses, beautiful lakes, and of course that wonderfully soothing thing called the ocean. I hope everyone has a great weekend! If you live on the east coast like me please be safe with the hurricane coming through.

Once the weather cools down and fall approaches, I instantly start to look for fabrics that have a lush feeling, including velvet. There's nothing that seems more appropriate for the cooler weather than luxurious velvet in rich colors. This skirt is simply divine and has me feeling very chic in it! This was actually an outfit I wore towards the end of our Rehoboth Beach vacation, but one that I was the most excited to wear. Everyone in stores and on the street kept asking me where I got the skirt. People may want to keep their more formal pieces for night or special occasions, but I say rock them any time you want! I kept the look sweet by pairing it with blush and nude tones. Aren't these shoes a perfect dupe for Valentino's too!?! For less than $70.00 you cannot go wrong. The kitten heel was perfect for walking around town without any discomfort and keeping the look a little more casual than a higher heel would.

As soon as August would hit I always started to think about back to school clothes. I always got excited for the new school season (kind of nerdy right?!) with the new pens, pencils, tablets, you name it. There was a sense of a new beginning and anything is possible with the start of school. Luckily, the beginning of the school year also coincides with fall fashion. Yes!! I can still remember getting so excited to go out shopping with my mom or dad and stock up on all of the basics to carry me through the year. Whether being preppy like above or overly feminine (hello tulle and chiffon!) I was always dressed to the nines when I was heading off to school. When I saw this collegiate cardi it instantly reminded me of those good ol' days, not to mention trying to stay cozy and warm once the temperature takes a dip. How gorgeous are these lace up flats too!? They're the perfect pop of color to brighten up an outfit.
