A Weekend Walk

Red Jacket c/o || Stripped Top || Skinny Jeans || Tan Suede Boots || Kate Spade Bag || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || Lip Color ||

Hello all and happy Friday!! One of my favorite things to do on the weekend is take walks and enjoy the beautiful scenery and weather. There's nothing like exploring the great outdoors! The fall offers some of the best weather to go out and explore in, which I try to take full advantage of as much as I can. I wore this red jacket from Chicwish on one of my recent walks to keep warm during the chilly afternoon. I can't get over the color! I love a good pop of red to brighten up an outfit. It fits slightly large, but the tie at the waist helps with that. It's not large enough to change sizes. The pockets are nice and deep too. You know I have a thing for pockets, haha.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Black And Tan

Faux Brown Leather Jacket c/o || Similar Black Sweater || Similar Black Skinny Jeans || Tignanello Bag c/o || Similar Strappy Sandals || Freyrs Sunglasses c/o || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || Lip Color ||

Good morning, friends! We already made it to the middle of the first week in October! Just a few more days until the weekend. I'm also patiently waiting for the beautiful leaves to start changing their colors too. Hopefully soon. I look forward to their brilliance all year long. Fall television has started up again, another reason to love fall, which has me pretty excited. The two current ones that I watch are Gotham and Lucifer.

This tan faux leather jacket from Chicwish is an absolute closet staple. It can be dressed up or down for easy chic vibes. I went with a more casual look with a black sweater and jeans. Black and tan will always be a classic color combo that never fails. You could wear this jacket over a dress for a fancier look. It's really very versatile! One thing to note is that is does run small. I would order one size up for the best fit. I got mine in my normal size (XS) and its pretty tight. Right now Chicwish has so many great jackets for fall at amazing price points. Check them out here!

The Classic Black Dress

Black Dress c/o || Sunglasses || Teal Velvet Heels || YEAH Clutch c/o || Lipstick || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring ||

Good morning, friends! I wanted to start off by saying how deeply saddened and heart broken I am over the events that took place in Las Vegas. My thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected by this senseless tragedy. In times like these I trust in God's plan, whatever that may be, but I also know that something needs to change in this country. There have been too many events like these taking place lately.

Now, onto this gorgeous dress from Chicwish, my go-to shop for all things lovely! I love a good little black dress, especially one that has charming details to make it stand out from the rest. It's a classic for a reason. This dress fits true to size and is under $55. I'm wearing a size S/M. The semi-sheer overlay has little black dots andfloral crochet trimming. I'm in love with the self tie bow knot too! Pretty much anything with bows makes me swoon. This dress comes with a removable cami underneath too. This dress is fabulous for a girls night out or a date night with your loved one.

Burgundy Dress

Burgundy Dress c/o || Blush Circle Bag || Similar Burgundy Mary Jane Heels || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring ||

Hello, friends and happy Monday! It's not only the beginning of a new week, but also a new month! I can't believe that Sunday was the first day of October. This year is flying by!! Also, over the weekend the temperatures dropped down to the 50s and 60s, which means is certainly feels like fall now. Cozy sweaters anyone?? One of my favorite, and more worn, colors for fall is burgundy. I simply cannot get enough of it! Whether it be a sweater, jacket, bag, or shoe, burgundy is my go-to when I need some color mixed into an outfit. In this case I made it the statement color for the entire outfit with a little bit of blush mixed in. How about this dress too?! It reminds me of something Kate Middleton might wear. The white collar and cuffs are what drew my eye to the dress making it stand out from the rest. The dress runs true to size. I will say to be careful using an iron with it. I accidentally had mine on a higher setting and it ruined the dress where the iron hit it.

A Classic Combo

Hello, friends and happy Friday Eve! One of my favorite colors to wear in the fall is anything tan or camel. As soon as fall hits, I immediately want to start wearing it! Black, tan, and white are one of those classic color combinations you can never go wrong with. Especially when you sprinkle in leopard prints for a pop of fun. Leopard is such a staple for fall. I fell in love with the dreamy romantic vibes this turtleneck sweater has. The sleeves are sheer with little Swiss dots on them. The sweater is lightweight and completely cozy. Truly a statement maker in a classic way. This skirt has 70s vibes with patch pockets and buttons down the front. The skirt does run big so I would size down one size for the best fit.

Romance In The City

Good morning all! As you may or may not know, Chicwish is one of my favorite sites to find on trend pieces with amazing detail and a great price point. My favorites from there have always been the dresses and skirts, but that should be no surprise, haha. This dress runs true to size. I'm wearing an XS for reference. The floral embroidery is so pretty and the trimming has little pom poms, which are the cutest. I typically hesitate with maxi styles, but this dress fit my 5'2 frame without dragging on the ground which is definitely a win! Speaking of my height, maxi styles give the illusion of height too. I'm always on the lookout for little tips and tricks to look taller =)

Hello Fall

Similar Burgundy Blazer || Cream Turtleneck || Similar Pink Suede Skirt || Embellished Mules || Similar Star Earrings || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || MAC Lip Color || Similar Burgundy Bag ||

Hello, friends and happy Friday and fall! My favorite season of the year is finally and officially here. I have so many warm and happy memories during this time of the year. Speaking for the blog, it's a time when fashion gets inspiring, interesting, and cozy. All of the "basic girl" things I love and I am not afraid to admit that, haha! Pumpkin spice latte's, wearing cozy sweaters and riding boots, apple picking, hay rides, pumpkin picking, bon fires and making smores', the warm smell of baking cookies, the smell of cinnamon, leaf rides, and all of the fall candles from Bath and Body Works. Trust me, they have the best candles! Personally, I was married in the fall as were my parents and my grandparents. It's a time when school was getting into the swing of things and the excitement of "new horizons" was very real. One of the best times of the year!

This outfit is a favorite of mine that I recently wore. I love the mix of burgundy, blush, and cream colors. The light layering with the blazer is fabulous for those cool mornings and evenings. Almost everything I'm wearing is something that I already owned too, which is great. I love to "shop my closet" and re-mix outfits that I've previously worn. I could also see this outfit being re-mixed to wearing dark blue skinny jeans and tall cognac boots for a weekend style!

The Suede Jacket // Easy Transition

Suede Jacket || Similar White Dress || Tan Wrap Sandals || Sunglasses || Tignanello Bag c/o || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || Similar Star Earrings ||

Hello, all! One of my favorite pieces to wear is a white dress. I know the old saying of not wearing white after Labor Day, but I personally think that is quite silly. Some of my favorite fall looks have white pieces in them! Transitioning my summer dresses over to fall, especially my white ones, are made easy with a suede moto jacket. Suede is huge for fall and this tan one pairs well with soooo many items. Cognac colors are my go-to for fall. Love love love them! This suede jacket fits true to size for reference.

We've been having some SPECTACULAR weather here lately! This whole week is supposed to be nice so I've been making sure to get out as much as possible. I'm also getting excited for some of my favorite shows to start their premieres. So many things to love about fall, haha.

Hello Moto

Leather Jacket || Polka Dot Ruffle Top || Paige Black Skinny Jeans || Tan Suede Pumps || Sunglasses || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || Tignanello Tan Bag c/o ||

Hello, friends and happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I had a wonderful time visiting with family and enjoying some r&r in picturesque Lancaster. It's always so peaceful there and brings back many beautiful memories from my childhood. I was even able to pick up some mums and a giant pumpkin. Looks like fall is in full swing!

There's something very "cool girl" about the leather moto jacket. Throughout the decades, the leather jacket has always had the essence of cool. Think about Fonzy in Happy Days. I wanted to sweeten the look up with my polka dot blouse, while still keeping an edge to the outfit. I love the gold hardware on the jacket too. Typically you see silver, but gold feels extra special. How amazing is this tan leather bag too?! It's so roomy to fit all of my everyday essentials in it. Plus, I love how it can transition through all of the seasons.

Farewell Summer....

Hello, all! While there are technically still some days left in summer, the weather is starting to slowly change over. I have to say, the weather in NEPA has been all over the place lately, what's new though lol. The end of August and beginning of September were particularly chilly and felt like October. The past few days have actually felt like they should, which definitely put a smile on my face. I still enjoy those warm and sunny afternoons! In any case, I'm wrapping up my outfits that are purely summer influenced and saying a fond farewell to summer 2017. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Prep In My Step

White Tie Front Shirt || Gingham Skirt c/o || Similar Leopard Loafers || Similar Tory Burch Swingpack || Sunglasses || Similar Belt || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring ||

Hello all and happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I took Ava to our county fair and had the best time. The weather was gorgeous with sunshine, blue skies, and temperatures in the mid 70s. I remember going to the fair as a child myself and all throughout high school. I have to say my favorite part was always the food and it still is, haha! Also, I'm so thankful that all of my friends and family in Florida are doing alright and weathered hurricane Irma without any harm or injuries.

This gingham skirt is soooo beautiful and the perfect amount of flare to it. I love the vibrant blue color. It also has pockets, which if you've read this blog for a while then you know I'm obsessed with dresses and skirts that have pockets! I wanted this outfit to have a preppy feel to it while also including elements of both summer and fall. It's only $15 and fits true to size. I love pieces like this that seamlessly work in both summer and fall. Plus, it's a staple item that will never go out of style. Gingham prints are absolutely a classic as well as the fit and flare style.

As soon as the temps drop, I'm in a constant state of being chilled and trust me, in NEPA the temps have DROPPED. Haha, no joke. For this in-between weather I love a cozy cardigan to keep me warm and allow me to still wear some of my favorite summer pieces. This dusty rose cardigan from Chicwish is the perfect mix of a sweater and jacket rolled into one. It has an open front with wide lapels and folded cuffs. I love the fit. Its not too tight or baggy. I paired the cardigan with my favorite tee to wear from summer (also in a pink shade) and these velvet flats that are beautiful for fall. They have the cutest little bow on them too! Anything velvet has been catching my eye lately. I'm wearing a S/M in the cardigan and its under $40! Such a steal for a staple piece that you'll be wearing all the time.

This rose print dress has a 1960's feel to it and the quint essential fit and flare style. Chichwish has the best "prom" style dresses. Lemon Aid Dress // Water Hyacinth Bag

Multi Color Dress c/o || VT Thai Bag c/o || Loafer Mules || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || Rose Gold Love Bangle || Bauble Bar Ring c/o || MAC Lip Color || Sunglasses ||

Hello all and happy Friday eve! I can hardly believe that tomorrow rings in a new month and a new season with it. Crazy how fast time flies by. While I'm super excited for fall to arrive, I'm still enjoying every last drop of summer that there is. One thing I always miss about summer is just throwing on a dress and heading out the door. It's a no fuss outfit that always looks effortlessly chic. While I do love to layer in the fall, I'll still always miss the ease of a simple dress. This dress reminds me of lemon aid and its only $20! Such a steal. I love that it has some sleeves on it too, which makes it have a shirt dress feel. Oh! This dress has pockets too! I'm obsessed with dresses that have pockets, haha.

I wore this bag recently in my previous two posts and adore how big and roomy it is without looking too overwhelming on my small frame. It looks like a straw bag, but its actually made out of water hyacinth! Pretty cool, right?! It's very light weight too, which is great for when I need to put all of my everyday essentials in it and then carry it around all day. It's only $22.86 too, which is an awesome price for a well made bag. I've been talking with the company over the past few weeks and they are very reputable and friendly. No complaints here. All of the bags are hand crafted too. I recently got this one to transition into fall with. I'm not ready to completely put away my straw/wicker bags yet.

The Power Within

Today is a very special post where i'm partnering with T3 and their #powerwithin campaign. What gives me my strength and has ultimately molded and defined me as the person I am today is my family. From a young age my parents were always the biggest influences in my life. I wouldn't be where I am today, or who I am, without them. They were always my biggest supporters too. Anything I dreamt, they both believed in me and would tell me that I could achieve it and make it possible. To have that support and know they truly believed it, is an amazing feeling to have.

Whenever I need a little pep talk or reassurance, I talk to my dad. There is no one who has been there for me and helped more than my dad. He has been my rock from day one. When my mom passed away in 2013, my brother, my dad, and I all became even closer than we already were. We were shattered at her loss and had to somehow put the pieces back together again. While it was difficult, we all helped one another and found strength in being together. This blog was actually born in that time period. My very first post was a remembrance of my mom and what an amazing woman she was. Remembering her and what a strong woman she was gives me a drive to achieve all that I can. She never gave up and always had a positive attitude despite the circumstances with her illness.

I feel very blessed to have my family. Even with my mom passing, I know she is looking down and proud of all that I have achieved, especially thebirth of my daughter Ava. Being a mother myself now also gives me all the inspiration I need to be my best and most successful self. I now have my daughter looking to me, as i looked and still look to my parents for inspiration and confidence. My family has always been my number one source of empowerment and I cannot thank them enough for providing me with that.

Good morning and happy Friday, friends! Today I'm very excited to be partnering with Julie Brown NYC to tell you about an amazing contest to win a $150 gift card to their store! Who doesn't love a little fall shopping spree?! The coat and tweed dress I'm wearing above are both from their new fall line and I have to tell you, I'm absolutely in love with both pieces. The berry colors in both the dress and coat are beyond gorgeous. Ava could not stop touching the coat too, haha. She kept saying "mommy's coat! mommy's coat!" and wanted to hold it. The dress even has suede paneling along the side that is so soft and adds a unique little twist. The other items in their fall catalogue are equally drool worthy, I'm particularly eyeing this coat which would be perfect for fall and winter! I'm wearing a size P in the dress and a size 2 in the berry coat.

Visit my Instagram in order to enter the contest, which will be running from today through Monday! The winner will be chosen on Monday. Good luck and i hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
