Happy Friday, everyone! For the past three years, Ava and I have always worn matching or similar outfits for Mother’s Day. It’s a tradition that we’re going to keep going for as long as we can! When Ava first saw me in this floral 1940s inspired dress, she said, “mommy, that dress is so beautiful.” She’s really been getting into dressing up and taking photos with me and wanted to dress in her own floral dress for the shoot. She looks so angelic in these photos too. She’s my precious little angel. I was also teaching her how to twirl her skirt during some of these shots. She’s getting the hang of it! It was a gorgeous day outside that we made the most of with many wonderful memories at our favorite spots in the park.

Ava’s dress came from TJ Maxx, which she also wore for Palm Sunday. It’s a great spot to find unique dresses at a great price. I’ve gotten many of hers there over the years. My dress not only boasts a great deal of charm, but also grace with its pink floral cascading throughout the 1940s style embellishments. The bodice has a multitude of pin tucks, centered by a classic winged collar, highlighted by long sleeves (that I rolled up), and a button cuffed for added vintage accent. The wide banded waistline slims and elongates your hourglass while the swing skirt features gentle gathers for a delightful flair. This is one of the most lovely dresses that I own. Everything about it makes me feel at my very best. The sizing for the dress runs small. While the dress does fit, it’s rather tight in the waist. I would suggest going up one size for comfort.

Don't forget to look below for our other Mother’s Day outfits from the past three years! Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mamas out there. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
