Crossover Sweater

Finally, it's Friday! This outfit has so many staple pieces that you'll find me wearing all throughout fall, especially on the weekend. To start off with, a cozy sweater, skinny jeans, chic and comfy heels with a fab bag to carry all of my essentials. It's a go-to look that never fails. This crossover sweater is so soft and felt heavenly to have on! The cross over detail is unique and adds a bit of a cropped look to it. As long as you have a medium rise jean on the crop effect isn't too bad. Plus, I love the mock turtleneck. I've been leaning towards a lot of gray, burgundy, and olive tones for fall if you haven't noticed, haha! Yesterday was the first day of meteorological fall and it did not disappoint. The air had a nice cool crispness to it that I just drank right in. Perfect sweater weather.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

There's nothing like cozying up in a comfy sweater during the transitional months. The weather has been all over the place lately. It's warm for a few days, snows the next, followed by rain and cold, then warm again. Haha, I just try to go with the flow. I love how the blue and purple sequins elevate this gray sweater to anything but boring. Even the little fringe detailing outlining the sequins gives this a nice flair. I wore this out for our walk on Sunday and felt so comfortable, yet stylish. I'm wearing a size XS for reference. Another way to elevate an outfit is by adding some jewelry. I always think of How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days where Matthew McConaughey says "frost yourselves." Jewelry really is the frosting on the outfit cake! This art deco bracelet and stack able rings give the casual look some added polish. I'll be talking more specifically about these pieces, and some others, in a post later this week.

A very happy Wednesday morning to everyone! I cannot believe it is the day before New Years Eve already. Amazing how time flies by when you're having fun and raising a baby haha. Does anyone have any special plans for New Years?

Plaid has always been a go-to print for me because of how classic it is. Each piece of this ensemble has a timeless feeling in its own right and when put together, the outcome is one of simple elegance. The khaki trench coat from Shein is a piece you will wear over and over again and never tire of. I always think of Rick and Ilsa from Casablanca when it comes to classic trench coats! It has a great heavy material and a cute plaid inner lining. I always love a plaid button down underneath a cozy sweater. It's simple and chic, plus it adds that needed warmth. Another timeless piece that will get good use is a gold watch. This one from Rumba Time has the look and feel of a high end designer, but without the price tag. Win-Win! I was pretty amazed by the detail and quality of this piece and love how it'll go with just about any outfit I pair it with ranging from little black dresses to button downs with jeans. Last, but not least, a great pair of tortoise shell sunnies will keep you stylish the whole year round. This pair from Freyrs, for only $39.95, sit comfortably on my face and feel so very vintage inspired, which I adore. They look and feel more expensive than they really are. They have a medium fit so if you are not into the over sized sunnies, then these are definitely for you.
