Happy Friday, friends! It’s no secret I have quite a love for anything with a bow on it. They can elevate even the simplest piece into something very special and of course I love the feminine feel. This sweater has two black bow ties on either side and a high low hemline. The bottom half of the sweater is open where the ties are so I layered a turtleneck underneath. It is a one size fits all and is only $21. There’s just something about a tan sweater in the fall. It’s a classic and goes with everything!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! It’s supposed to rain and even possibly snow up my way. Definitely good movie weather. There’s quite a few good ones out or coming out very soon. I’m particularly wanting to see Murder On The Orient Express. Poirot has always been a favorite of mine!

Bow Bell Sleeves

Chunky Bell Sleeve Sweater c/o || Court Style Coat c/o || Black Skater Coat || Sequin Jeans || Similar Booties || Tory Burch Bag || Freyrs Sunglasses c/o || Baublebar Earrings c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Jackie Kennedy Emerald Unity Band ||

Hello all and happy Tuesday! I'm sure you've noticed by now, but I kind of have a thing for detailed sleeves. I've always been a bit self conscious about my arms because they are sooo thin. I used to say I had sticks for arms. Don't even get me started on finding bracelets that would fit my tiny wrists. I really like this trend since its absolutely fun and also adds so volume to arms. Win, win! As soon as I saw this sweater I was hooked. It's a chunky knit, great for the chilly weather we've been having, has a turtleneck, and also has bell sleeves with tiny black bows on them. Now, I've got to be honest, I totally tied the bows wrong and didn't even realize it until way later in the day. The ribbon should go around the wrist from the bottom and then tie the bow on top. I never tied the ribbon around my wrist, so #fail haha. In any case, I'm completely in love with it.

It was freezing yesterday, i'm talking in the teens, so layering was a must. I really like the court style coat alone with this as it adds some texture and emphasizes the bell sleeves even more. The sweater is so warm that had it been a bit warmer, say in the 30s, I wouldn't have even needed the extra skater coat on top. The sweater is a one size fits all and fit me perfectly. It is on the cropped side though so keep that in mind. It's also under $22. I definitely plan on wearing this again before winter is out. Possibly with a skirt and some tights and a pop of color mixed in. I'll also try to get the bow tied right next time, haha! Hey, we all need to laugh at ourselves sometimes.

I hope that everyone is staying safe with the crazy weather that's been going on all over the country. Every night the news has been showing images and video of the wild weather wrecking buildings and trees. Scary stuff.

Vintage Blue

Blue and blush, need I say more? I've always had a certain love affair with this combination of colors. My mom even decorated our house in shades of blue and rose. The navy background of the dress lets the subtle blue and blush tones of the roses stand out, yet blend in perfectly together. The shoes I have on even color coordinate to the dress with their navy background and pink polka dots. The icy blue of the purse makes a nice neutral shade to stand against the dress and the jewelry all blends together beautifully with shades of gold and pink in them. What I really love about the outfit is the vintage look and modern feel it has. It's a balancing act between how much skin is showing really. The dress allows for a flippy skirt because the arm length is three quarters long.

A classic way to add polish to your handbag is to simply tie a scarf around the handles or chains. Voila! Instant sophistication.

I've always had a soft spot for this pair of shoes. The peep toe, ruffled bow, and pink polka dots against a navy background are reminiscent of the 1950s, yet have the heel height to bring them into the now. Simply adore them.
