My Favorite Palm Prints

Palm Print Bikini c/o || Palm Print Top (TJ Maxx) Similar Tops Here And Here || White Jean Shorts || Sunglasses || Earrings || Pink & Blue Co. Bracelet c/o ||

Good morning, friends! One of my favorite prints to wear in the summer is a palm print, particularly in a pink and green combo. Not only do the two colors work so well together, adding to the overall happiness of the print, but it also symbolizes the obvious tropical vibe and overall feeling of being out on a beach relaxing with the ocean breeze softly swaying the palm leaves up above. There’s also a bit of vintage charm to the print that reminds me of Hollywood in the 1950s. Many times, I often conjure up images of how’ll I’ll be wearing an outfit when I see a particular piece online or in stores. Will I be wearing the piece while out running errands, relaxing at home, while on vacation, taking a stroll in the park, or out to brunch with friends. Similar to that, the palm print always brings a smile to my face thinking of the warm summer sun and easy carefree feeling summer days always seem to have. There’s a tremendous amount of cute palm print (even pink and green combos!) out there right now and at very affordable prices that will not break the bank. Everything from tops, dresses, bags, swimsuits, pjs, and shoes have the tropical image on them. Look below for some of my absolute favorite finds!

What a fun filled day this was on the Cape! It was actually a day that was a bit spontaneous and ended up being one with some cherished memories. We started the day at the Mass Audubon Society in Barnstable. What a treat for fans of the outdoors! Ava was particularly in love with the turtles they had inside. We walked the grounds of the forested area listening to all of the birds chirping their happy songs. The air was fragranced with the sweet smell of honeysuckle while rhododendrons were blossoming all around us. After that, we walked down to the beach area where kayakers were just finishing up. Across the way we could make out a lighthouse and also stumbled upon a plethora of beach roses, my absolute favorite! They are my favorite rose and dare I say, even my favorite flower.

Afterwards, we were famished and stumbled upon the Dolphin restaurant not to far down the road. What an absolute gem this place was. I got the tuna sandwich with a cup of chowder and a slice of peanut butter pie. The entire meal was drool worthy and affordable. The decor inside was full of beach and patriotic themes, all of course adding to the charm. Next door, we went to the Nirvana Coffee Company, which had a steady stream of customers the entire time we were there. Ava and I relaxed on the Adirondack chairs outside while enjoying the sunshine and passers going by. I got my usual vanilla latte and loved it. It was a nice moment of calm before our next stop.

After re-energizing, we wanted to end the day at the beach, opting to try a new one called Gray’s Beach in Yarmouth. I think for Ava, this beach was one of the highlights of her trip. Though the beach itself is smaller, you can walk out into the tide pools and across the way to the little islands. While wading in the shallower water, you can find all types of small sea creatures, which all of the kids were thrilled about. The beach is famous for its long boardwalk, extending out into the grass and water, where it ends for a beautiful sunset view. Looking across the way, you can see the tip of Sandy Neck beach. All around us was nature at its very finest.

Sunflower Surprise

Sunflower Dress c/o || Ava’s Sunflower Dress c/o || Jack Rogers Blush Sandals || Wicker Bag || Sunglasses || Jackie Kennedy Pearl Earrings || Pink & Blue Co. Bracelet c/o || Pearl Bracelet || Ava’s Rose Gold Sandals ||

One of my most favorite memories from my childhood is dressing up with my mom in our matching sunflower dresses whenever we traveled to the beach. I can remember it so vividly, even the matching sunflower hair ties we had for the dresses. They’re memories I cherish along with the dresses I still have, both my mom’s and mine. Last year, Ava and I tried on the dresses to see how they fit. It was a very emotional and special moment for me. I can’t wait for both of us to slip into them again!

Knowing the sentimentality behind a sunflower print, these dresses Ava and I wore above brought back memories of my mom and I from years past. My sunflower dress is an absolute favorite I’ve had for a few years now. When I saw Ava’s dress from Pat Pat, I knew it was a clear winner. The bright sunflower pattern along with the ruffle sleeves make for a darling summertime combo!

Good morning and happy Friday!! A few days ago I had the honor of attending the SetSailSummer blogger event held by Sail To Sable and Palm Beach Lately at the Wee Burn Beach Club in Connecticut. It was a celebration of all things summer where I got to meet some truly talented and lovely people. It was so much fun getting to know everyone and especially meeting the team behind each brand. The evening was quite a magical one with soft music playing in the background, the golden sun slowing setting, the chatter of new and old friends meeting, the rosè flowing, and the cutest summer themed hors d'œuvres. No detail was overlooked!

All of the gals were decked out in their best Sail To Sable outfits and most wearing their new Jack Rogers USA sandals. Monogram Mary was also on hand to monogram anything you wanted from sweaters, to clutches and tote bags. Sail To Sable was kind enough to ask which pieces from their summer collection we would like to wear for the celebration. I chose this pretty clip dot dress with fun tassels and ruffle hem. It was perfect for

The view at the Wee Burn Beach Club was absolutely breathtaking and the perfect backdrop for a summer soirée. The sunset was dreamy and we were all commenting on how gorgeous it was. Our lodging for the event was at the Roger Sherman Inn, which had the most amazing porch dining area and quintessential New England charm. Cheers to old and new friendships and a summer night to remember!

Thank you so much again to Sail To Sable, Palm Beach Lately, Jack Rogers USA, and Monogram Mary

Catch The Wind In Your Sails

Red Sailor Dress || Ava’s Blue Sailor Dress c/o || Stripped Sandals || Red Scallop Bag || Pink & Blue Co. Bracelet c/o || Anchor  & Pearl Bracelet ||

Good morning, friends! This was by far my favorite outfits of ours from our trip. It was an absolutely breathtaking evening too. The sun was casting its golden glow upon the JFK memorial and further down onto the sands and glistening water. This is by far my favorite spot on the Cape. It was where I initially fell head over heels in love with the Cape. This view will always be my favorite view. It’s one of the best spots to experience the golden hour too.

Ava was so excited to be a sailor for the day. She kept trying the dress on even before we left for our vacation. I couldn’t resist a mommy and me matching moment, pulling out my red sailor dress with a vintage flair. The stripes, buttons, pleats, and naval collar all make my heart swoon. Ava’s dress has a decorative bow, stripes, a naval collar and buttons to compete her nautical ensemble. These would also make wonderful dresses for the 4th of July as well!

Today also marks my brother’s birthday. Wishing you a very happy one, Mike!

Blue And White Floral

Blue Floral Dress (Old, Similar) || Raffia Clutch || Cream Wedge Espadrilles || Jackie Kennedy Pearl Earrings || Pink & Blue Co. Bracelet c/o || KJP Pearl Bracelet ||

Good morning and happy Tuesday! This blue floral dress is an old favorite of mine from years ago. I got it from ModCloth in maybe 2012 or 2013 and it’s held up quite well since then. Blue and white has always been a standard for my summer uniform, especially for all of my nautical wear. On the other hand, a blue and a white floral adds a bit of classic femininity and reminds me of all of the gorgeous summer blooms like hydrangeas and roses.

I saved this dress for a special occasion where we got our annual photo in front of the Nausset Lighthouse in Eastham. It’s our favorite lighthouse and quite an iconic one. It’s the most photographed lighthouse on Cape Cod and the one you see on the Cape Cod Chips bag.

After making a pit stop at A Hole In One Donuts, amazing pastries and coffee, we traveled back to go hit the beach.

Before calling it a night, we ate at Pizza Barbone to try some of their pesto pizza. I was skeptical, but wow was I blown away! It was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The serving size is a bit small, but it’s well worth it to try at least once.

Mint & Sailor

Mint Sailor Dress (On Sale!!) || White Disc Hat || Sunglasses || Wicker Bag || Yellow Wedge Espadrilles || Pink & Blue Co Bracelet c/o ||

Good morning, friends! What a dreamy evening it was to take a stroll along the harbor and Main Street. With the golden sun slowly setting, the sweet fragrance of lilacs in the air, and the warm breeze softly rustling, it truly felt like paradise. Gazing upon the harbor with its endless boats and ships is one of my favorite pastimes that I do quite frequently while visiting the Cape. This mint swing dress with mid-century mariner art upon it was the perfect ensemble to wear for the evening stroll. It’s on major sale right now too! Featuring an array of adorable sailor motifs, white buttons to secure the darted bodice, a white lapel collar that flares out to the cap sleeves, a button belt to cinch in your fabulous hour glass figure, and front pockets to carry your favorite necessities in. The dress runs true to size. Along this walk we also stopped to get our yearly photo with JFK’s statue at the Hyannis museum. Ava always gets so excited to see him, running right up to him to say hello.

By The Sea, By The Sea, By The Beautiful Sea

Polka Dot Swimsuit c/o || Ava’s polka dot swimsuit c/o || White Bow Straw Hat || Ava’s White Bow Straw Hat || Sunglasses || Pink & Blue Co Bracelet c/o || Woven Mules ||

These are by far the cutest swimsuits Ava and I have! I adore anything that’s mommy and me matching, especially when they have a fun retro feel to them. These red polka dot swimsuits are the hit of the summer season, not to mention eye catching and darling with their sweet ruffles along the top. I found the sizing to be true to size for the toddler version. The adult version runs small. I would recommend sizing up one size for a comfortable fit.

These photos were taken out first day on vacation at the Cape. The weather was amazing and the beaches were practically untouched with an abundance of seashells laying on top of the sand. Ava had a field day collecting all of her seashell treasures and then arranging them on my towel!

Cozy At The Cape // Mommy & Me

Sail To Sable Wheel Sweater c/o || White Skinny Jeans || Similar Kate Spade Bag || Boots || Similar Pink Hat || Sherpa Coat c/o || Ava’s Sail To Sable Sweater Dress c/o||

Good morning, friends! As you know, mommy and me posts are my absolute favorite here on Enchanting Elegance. I get a big thrill each time I’m able to feature one. I’m particularly fond of this one because  of its nautical theme, which is very close to both my and Ava’s hearts. Come sail away with us! Both the sweater and sweater dress feature a wheel motif on a hydrangea blue background. I love being able to wear this sweater with a jacket now in winter, but I can also imagine wearing it with some jeans shorts and flats or wedges in the summer too. It’s perfect for those cool summer nights. This is how you do nautical year round! Both fit true to size. I’m wearing an XS and Ava is in a size 4.

Cuddle Up In Sherpa

Sherpa Coat c/o || Fair Isle Sweater || Chambray Top || OTK Boots || Similar Kate Spade Bag || Wreath Earrings || Skinny Jeans || Pink & Blue Co. Bracelet c/o ||

Good morning and happy Monday, friends! As the weather starts to turn from chilly to downright freezing, I love to find pieces that remind me of being cuddled up in the coziest blanket. This peacoat Sherpa coat from Chicwish does just that. It has an oversized fit, perfect for layering sweaters or even another jacket under for those wind whipping days. I felt warm and toasty all weekend long while wearing this. I also thought I’d mention how the pockets are nice and roomy. It’s a small detail, but one I truly appreciated for being able to keep my hands warm and also to carry various items in them. I’m a huge fan of pockets!

Pink Pointelle On A Picture Perfect Morning

Pointelle Sweater || Wrap Skirt c/o || Similar Leopard Loafers || Pink Topcoat || Vanity Box Bag || Pink & Blue Co. Bracelet c/o ||

Good morning and happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend filled with good food, friends and family, football, shopping, and maybe even putting up your Christmas decorations. Ava and I went to go see The Grinch again over the weekend and I have to say, I enjoy the movie just as much as she does! They did an awesome job of re-telling the story. We also started watching some Christmas shows starting with Frosty on tv, The Polar Express, and A Christmas Story. Don’t forget that Ruldolph is on tomorrow night at 8pm on CBS.

On our last day at Valley Forge, Ava and I took one last drive around the park and decided to take a little walk before heading home. We stopped at a popular part of the park we’d never been to before. I’d always seen quite a bit of cars parked at this location and I eventually found out why. It was a stunning crisp morning with the sun offering endless amounts of light in the sapphire blue sky. We walked on a path that eventually led to an old beautiful estate that was picture perfect. On the walk we had passed some barns, old homes, fields, and a stream that were all amazing photographic backdrops. I passed three other photographers doing family portraits while there! It was the end to another fantastic trip to my favorite spot in PA.

Happy Thanksgiving 2018

Wool Blazer || Eyelash Sweater || Skinny Jeans || Tall Boots || Similar Tory Burch Bag || Jackie Kennedy Earrings ||

Happy Thanksgiving, friends!  First and foremost, I am truly thankful for my family, especially my little Ava bug. I don’t know where I would be without their love and guidance. I am thankful for my friends, my health, and to you dear reader for your continued support. I hope everyone traveling gets to their destinations safely and enjoys this boutinful holiday with their loved ones. I’m looking forward to watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, spending some quality time with my family, eating a delicious dinner, and watching some football!

The photos above are from the first day of our Valley Forge trip. The weather was spectacular with the setting sun’s golden rays illuminating the land. The views looked as if they were taken straight out of a postcard. I wanted something comfortable to not only travel in, but also knowing I would be to walking around the park quite a bit too. This blazer has been my fall staple creating effortless classic looks. These boots also lend a hand in creating classic ensembles with retro inspired details. Ava and I both had on our cozy eyelash sweaters that we felt snug as a bug in.

Good morning, friends! ‘Tis the season to add a little sparkle to your everyday looks. While I love the classic ensemble with a mix of pretty plaid and some ruffles, it’s the shimmering jewelry pieces that elevate this outfit. How gorgeous are they?! I’m particularly swooning over the embellished barette. Time and time again, I’m drawn to classic styles that stand the test of time such as this plaid ruffle skirt, navy sweater, and navy pea coat. All are key pieces that could have been worn twenty years ago or twenty years from now.

Ava’s Pink Monogrammed Roll Neck Sweater c/o || My Pink Sweater || Blush Sandals || Shorts || Sunglasses ||  || Anchor and Pearl Bracelet ||

Good morning and happy Monday! I'm so excited to finally be able to share this post! As you know, any post that has Ava in it is very special to me, including this dreamy sunset with our mommy and me outfits. I absolutely adore matching with my mini! Ava’s sweater from Monogram Mary was the inspiration for our outfits. It’s a beautifully made roll neck sweater with a turtle motif and Ava’s initials inside. I was blown away by the quality of the piece and also how cute Ava looks in it! It’s the perfect weight for a cool summer night too. You can chose from a variety of motifs, thread colors, monogram styles, and different fonts. We kept our look casual with the pink sweaters. some jean shorts, and pink sandals. I really love the third picture of Ava here. She looks like a little model! It truly was a magical night with the gorgeous sunset and fun we had while capturing these precious moments.

Ice Cream Social

Ice Cream Dress c/o || Circle Bag || Sunglasses || Cardigan || Pink Heels || MVMT Watch c/o ||  Mom Bracelet || Pearl And Anchor Bracelet ||

This dress!! Swoon. Is there anything better than ice cream in summer? I think not, haha.  This dress embodies everything fun and sweet that ice cream has to offer. How about the vintage flair too?! I always gravitate towards items that remind me of the 1940s-1960s. Especially the 1950s. I wanted this outfit to have a dash of whimsy, a spoonful of bright color, and a healing cup of cheeriness. We had ice cream the night before at Katie’s Homemade Ice Cream (delish!!) and I instantly fell in love with the location. I knew it would make the perfect backdrop for the dress. The dress fits perfectly (wearing a size small) though I wish the skirt portion had some more flair to it.

Yellow Checkered Dress

Yellow Checkered Dress c/o || Similar Bag || Sunglasses || Pearl Necklace || Pearl Bracelet || MVMT Watch c/o || Blush Sandals c/o ||

The vintage vibes are strong with this one! I cannot resist anything that has a little vintage flair to it, this dress included. I especially love that a belt was included and the cute ruffles. This would make a great dress to transition into fall with as well. The color is more of a muted mustard yellow, which is perfect during the fall months. I actually got a lot of compliments on this dress while we were at the Mashpee Commons. It was a hit! If you’re visiting Cape Cod, definitely check it out. It’s a very charming outdoor shopping center that looks like a little town. This is also where we spotted Cape Cod Coffee for the first time. They also have a location in Hyannis. I would recommend the cranberry flavor as well as their lattee’s. I went back for seconds! The dress fits true to size. I’m wearing a small for reference.
